  • This is the ultimate tiny house off grid paradise. Situated on 380 acres of spectacular lake-front property with private hot-springs and abundant wildlife, the land will eventually be home to a fully functioning off-the-grid, solar powered community of tiny homes which will be placed amongst a network of geodesic dome greenhouses growing organic food.
    The first of the homes is already in place, with ingenious design and high quality craftsmanship. It's owner Kathleen takes us through the property and shares her vision for an amazing future.

      Salt Batteries. The single stack 4 pin toppers, 1400 each at 1KW. No off-gassing and pretty much permanent with nearly no issue EVER of falling apart or degrading with use. When I saw that I was like "YES!!" Because that.. is brilliant. Those batteries are THE solution to long term. Exactly what we should be sending to the Island Territories, not Tesla nonsense li-on garbage. You can get those in pallets as well for serious situations and municipal power operation. She looks to have about three or four maybe? That kind of power.. she could run a hospital and massive waterpumps for a couple city blocks.

    This is amazing.
    Some of the people that are making negative comments such as it's not a proper "tiny" home, or it's too expensive, etc...really? It's not about you. It's about her life and what she wants in her life.
    People are quick to judge based on their own personal reality forgetting that this is her experience in life and how she chooses to live it is up to her. We don't fit neatly into everyone's little "how to live a life according to me" box.
    This is one of the best homes and land that I could definitely see myself living. I watch a lot of alternative living videos and this stands at the top. Excellent!

      Mordaci Stewart You aren’t in charge of defining what others can have. If you don’t like this house, look at something else. We don’t all want or need the same thing. UA-camrs aren’t restricted to posting only what you want so you won’t “waste your time” looking at something you don’t want. Nor should they be. There is a wide variety of types and sizes and prices of tiny houses being created, and that diversity is wonderful. It would be awful if the only thing allowed to be shown is just what you want. Variety is great. It’s absurd to want to restrict what can be posted, for your convenience. Empathy has nothing to do with being offered a wide variety of choices.

    • @bravowhiskey4684
      @bravowhiskey4684 4 роки тому +6

      Mordaci just because you can’t afford the Cadillac, doesn’t mean other people shouldn’t get to see reviews on it. Maybe it’s not for you, there’s plenty of economy cars out there. Now apply that logic to tiny homes; some want a kia, some want a Cadillac.
      The market is not obligated to cater only to your whims, and tiny houses are not only for lower income brackets. There is no reason why both groups can’t live tiny, it’s better for our culture and for the earth if more people do. Stop trying to hold others back out of jealousy, go out and achieve your own way.

    That's a Growing Spaces dome. Pagosa Springs, CO 81147. I just toured two 26' and a 22' one in Telluride, CO. 3 weeks ago. They had tomatoes blossoming at 8,700 FT altitude. The 22' one had a concrete riser wall partially below level. It was burning hot with both top and lower vents open and wall fans running. That solar power system setup is incredible. Don't believe she mentioned the kilowatts in produces and stores. Going to start working on my Mississippi Mangos homestead, June 2019 Mangos and Citrus in Zone 8a. So I will have several pit greenhouses using geothermal for tropicals.

    I almost did this. My parents have 60 acres on Pea Ridge free and clear. But my life abruptly changed, and my partner, the man who wanted, along with me, to build on the Ridge, died. Covid-related. I'm glad SOMEONE got their nice dream. I hape all joy to you 5 years later.

    Omg yes! I saw the tour of this place on the Nelson Tiny Homes channel a year or so ago and became obsessed with tiny home tours after that lol it's so amazing to "meet" the woman who lives here and to see it being lived in! This is still, by far, my favourite tiny home! Loved this tour Bryce 👌

    love you, bryce. ive watched other tiny house videos but i end up not finishing them and coming back to this channel. the way you unfold the stories behind each house and not just simply showing its structure. i also love your enthusiasm and your passion bc one can really tell by the way you conclude in each video and look at every house. thank you for influencing change 😁

    But, I like her art! No hiding needed! It made the bedroom look great!
    Laying in the bath tub and watching the stars sounds like magic though. As an astronomy geek who probably should learn to not talk about stars all the time, watching the night sky from the bath sounds like it's at good as it gets. Life perfection achieved!
    I really love this whole project, with growing food and everything. And sci fi domes! So now im wondering if she feel a pressing need to let a grumpy swedish woman drag her telescope over and build a house near by, as soon as said swedish woman have sold a kidney or two! ^_~ I'm tidy, house broken and keep to myself a lot!

    I was struck by the love, quality, purity and beauty of the structures in the domes for growing vegetables and berries. This Kathleen has very smart brains.
    I see the future - the business of growing quality vegetables and berries in domes is going well. New and new employees are being hired. The business is successfully scaling. Kathleen becomes very rich. Moves into a multi-million dollar mansion. ... Oh shit! it's the other way around!

    • @ixd7ev254
      @ixd7ev254 6 років тому

      The 'sustainability' is non-existent here. I do hope this is not a harbinger of what is to happen to B.C.. Consider the pollution created with the manufacture of her 'high end trailer' and the materials in that HUGE power plant. Probably created by the masses in poverty/smog conditions. Diesel is a by-product of the raping/trashing of Northern Alberta. The domes were ordered by a commercial venture from a commercial American company. Growing the business is the goal. Nice that BC allowed her to come.
