  • We test drive the 2024 Lucid Air Pure through a scenic drive from the heart of Manhattan all the way up Bear Mountain, getting a feel for how it balances power and performance. When it comes to the best EVs around, the Lucid Air Pure can go further than most with its EPA-estimated range of 419 miles, while still delivering outstanding performance with 430 hp driving the low profile sedan.

Air GT Owner, You nailed the review on the Pure and IMO the short comings of the model. All the features you mentioned beside the HUD and more is available on the GT model. IMO for $70K Lucid should have included some of those safety features, and held back on some of the other stuff for the entry level sedan. My personal opinion on it is that it is a mistake on their part.
    Good Review.

I agree! I definitely think the blind spot camera with turn signals should 100% be included! They can’t be leaving that out when Tesla is selling 38k model 3s with it!!! I told the lucid employee that went with me on my pure test drive exactly that lol. Loveee the car though and can’t wait for the gravity to come out!

1:00 I don't think you're understanding what efficiency is. A larger battery doesn't make you more efficient. And it's not one of the most efficient EVs in the market. It is the most efficient EV on the market.

I don’t know when but I am sure and just a guess 2 years from today lucid will make all of us investors feel better
And maybe we would be able to take a deep breath and forget the Rocky road we have been on It is nice to have
An insurance company like PIF well not really but they want it to work more than us and have placed faith in lucid
    So I will also

Nice car. Sad to say that the EV industry is on the ropes in most of the U.S. EV makers are jumping the gun on pumping out EVs when a vast area of the U.S. does not easily support the charging process and on-the-road charging stations are too limited and far apart, especially for the long-distance drivers. Too many people living in rental houses and apartments, etc, not allowed to install EV charging equipment or the infrastructure does not support the use of charging equipment. Running power cables across sidewalks to EVs parked along the street? No way -- too dangerous and illegal, if the cables are not vandalized. Tesla and others really missed the boat when planning the rollout of EVs --- now Tesla has many thousands of unpurchased EVs stored around the U.S. gathering dirt and deteriorating. The cars are too expensive and undesirable, except in a few states. Not my idea of a well thought out game plan. All of this on top of power grids that are maxed out in capacity --- and we want to add MORE demand??????

@@user-io4sr7vg1v I don't think so. We're seeing more affordable EVs, and when you pair the long term savings by charging at home, everyone will eventually migrate to either full EVs or PHEVs.

@JohnVelasco not anytime soon. The grid cannot handle this. Batteries still too efficient. And reliable electricity generation still requires burning. This fictional net zero can only last for so long. It's already crashing before our very eyes. Burning is good. Don't be fooled.

They want to make EVs like cellphones. After years of use it will break - not for the long haul
