Educational and entertaining. 👍 don't worry about what people think. If you want to paint it, paint it, you're tractor, your decision, your life, your videos. I will continue to watch either way. Thanks for another great video!
Love your videos and seeing you bring these beauties back to life - brings back memories of a contractor with a brand new 1135 under a silage harvester back in the day - some lady, look forward to the 1155 all painted and shiny - from Ireland
On a slightly smaller scale the outboard motor on our brand new 20 ft boat had hydraulic steering and the marina had connected the lines backwards. We did knot no this until the boat was in the water. My brother managed to idle to the dock where we determined that simply swapping those hydraulic hoses would solve the problem. So we removed them.... And then waves hit the boat, and hilarity (and oil geysers) ensued. 🙂
Everyone else can't wait to see her all shiny. Sorry, I can't wait to see her all covered in dust from a solid day's work. JT, loving the content. Keep 'em coming. Greetings from the snow bank, where it's cold, and even with that much oil on parts, the bolts will still be rusted.
Appreciate the videos. You made my back hurt getting the rack assembly out and back in. It’s your tractor, do what you want with it, you already saved it from the scrap yard. I could understand if it was all original, but like you said, it’s not. Glad to see some old iron saved from being turned into something from China.
Had to rebuild the main hydraulic pump off the front of my 1155 tractor. That was a bit of a job. Had to rip out the rad and everything to get down at it. But it’s 45+ years old, so guess it was time.
When I compare my brand Massey Ferguson 5711 to my new to me but old 1971 Massey Ferguson 1150 V8 what a difference. The wiring the computers and sensors and everything else. I wouldn’t attempt to work on it. My 1150 has been completely repainted with the parts taken off painted and bolted back on with new bolts. So go ahead paint my day👍😂
I put two battery's In my 255 and it starts in 20 below with out pluging it in my old belarus had two battery's and they started great in the cold that's where I got the idea to put dual battery's in the old massey
Was worried about seeing the 🌙 in a couple spots. Good editing or good suspenders? You can tell which parts of a tractor were well designed and wisely implemented. And you can tell which are purely afterthought (oh yeah we need a seat for an operator! And a front axle...). I was afraid the steering might be backwards, as some mfg will do that to a guy when you interchange designs. I bet you have a bearing out inside the original rack. Starts pretty good for a junk row tractor, some don't start that good in summer. Thanks for sharing with us.
Great video again. Could you make a video when you rebuild that hydraulik pump? Need to remove and rebuild the one in my 1155. Like to see how it is done
Love your commentary while you work just recently became a subscriber. My cousin has A MF 165 that has some issues he's not a mechanic but I think it is something that you can repair he's got a new tractor & wanting to get rid of the 165 let me know how to get ahold of you if you want more details
Does it not have a heater so it helps start on the cold mornings like your videos drove massyfergson trackers all turbo driving like 190 turbo that tractor just pull and pull none stop pulled a big grass chopper and a trailers all day long
Yes, but I think it’ll have to wait till I can run it hard and make some heat/pressure. It hasn’t put a drop in since I’ve had it, and a pressure test yielded no leaks…
Watching older videos today because the weather is too cold to be outside. These are great. Thank you for sharing.
Appreciate you watching!
So glad to see that you clean everything up vs just putting a greasy mess back together.
Freaking awesome! Another great job bringing a monster back to life. Can't wait to see it all shiny and pretty. Thanks for taking us along JT
Oh... they are Pretty!.... When all is said and done you should name the duo "Beasty Boy's"....
The cat is a Siberian Forest cat. We had one that looks like that cat for 16 years. Wonderful cat.
Beautiful animals 💜

Thank you!
What a gorgeous cat
That sledge looks well used. Just trying to catchup on your old videos so I try to make comments to satisfy the UA-cam algorithm. 👍🏻
Great video as usual! Quick segment at the end was hilarious! JT to the rescue!
I am like you, go the extra mile, check everything and clean everything. The only way to fix whatever you work on
You get more done than the guys with a big new fancy shops!
Keep them coming, I love the old Massey's.
I always enjoy watching you work on the ole Massey’s 👍p
JT to the rescue !! 🤣🤣🤣
Keep JT-ing man! It's a joy to watch.
Cheers, Ard
Use one of your front-end loader to pick the heavy stuff up, and get it close to where it needs to be.
Love that tractor! Can’t wait to see it completed. 😊👍🏻

JT’s barn n grill the best there is.
Thanks!
Had a neighbor who owned a 1155 with straight pipes (big chrome ones) and when he was in the field you could hear him for miles...
Keep the great videos coming friend from Scotland.
Thank goodness you saved Fluffy!! LoL It was awesome to see you fix the steering with a spare part, I bet that felt really, really good!
Right on! It’s a good feeling!

Another great video, very entertaining on a Sunday morning.
Very good Video 👍👍👍
The clip at the end is precious 🤣
I like your show. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching!
Well done Fluffy!!
Great work JT 👌👌👌
Really enjoy your videos! From Oklahoma
Thanks for all you do.
Cheers.
To help with your cold starts there a button on centre of fuel cut off lever on injection pump. Try pushing that in.

I’ll take that 😉. I can’t wait to take it out and get it dusty!
Awesome glad it worked out maybe the old pump was the wrong pump for that tractor and the one you installed is the proper one...
Lucky finding those parts and the price was right, thanks for sharing
Great video as usual, love what you do on this channel 👍🏻
Thats an awesome tractor, she deserves paint

Thanks! That’s what I was thinking too, she coulda had a different outcome all together if I hadn’t come along 😉
Good job. The beast is getting there.👌
Great job

Good job JT, be careful with your back
Indeed! One day I’ll pay for all this heavy stuff I should have help with lol
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe rig up some kind of lift or something.
When I compare my brand Massey Ferguson 5711 to my new to me but old 1971 Massey Ferguson 1150 V8 what a difference. The wiring the computers and sensors and everything else. Nice! I’ll bet that 1150 is a real head turner!
I like how your exhaust caps went out of frame opposite and came back in the same direction..
Yes, had to give that pipe a twist 😆
I noticed that to. I was like, that needs to be fixed or it will drive me crazy. Then the next shot, boom, all good again.
I noticed that also.
I hope for the sake of my ocd that you get the pipes straight. Nothing worse than crooked pipes.Keep up the good work.
Not to worry! There are brackets on the hood that hold them straight and even. Soon as the hood is back on it’ll be perfect
Have a Coors,,you got it.
Good job 👍
Good job!
Taking notes so you can buy mine?
@@chadtosh6831 haha
@@jeremycherny2041 it’d go good with the swather!! You could drag it home with it. Lol. Tractor is going on kijiji this week. 🤣😆👍
@chadtosh6831 if it was a 1135 I'd buy it
@@jeremycherny2041 same thing, just more ponies. Lol 😂
Fantastic... I’ll say it again... Fantastic.
Perfect my friends
I think that Fluffy is a "Millennial" cat. Friendly, but absent when the work needs to be done!:) Every once in a while a win sure feels good!
She is exactly that 😆😆
Awesome!!!
Great content as always.
Thank you sir.
Good job. O and by the way that's a can of start-cha-bastard, lol!!! That old 1155 will look so nice painted up!!!
Thanks! That ol girl will clean up really nice!
I put two battery's In my 255 and it starts in 20 below with out pluging it in my old belarus had two battery's and they started great in the cold that's where I got the idea to put dual battery's in the old massey
This has two batteries. Still likes to be plugged in when she’s below 35
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 yep 32 below out today plugged it in for 3 hours did some grunting but it went

And you COULD stop at the bar and grab a couple big guys to help for the cost of a beer but then there is less beer for JT!
I could…. I need to consider that 😆. Stuff don’t heal as fast as it once did lol
Great video again. Could you make a video when you rebuild that hydraulik pump? Need to remove and rebuild the one in my 1155. Like to see how it is done
I’ll see what I can do, I’ve never been into one of those pumps so I’d be flying blind. But I’ll do some learning and see what I can come up with
Nice work , and great score on the parts free is good !!
Fluffy just isn't onto shop work anymore, think your better half is spoiling her lol
Atb john
Indeed! Saved me several hundred bucks!

nice heavy dirty jobs, mate :)
YESSS PLS PAINT!😊
Fluffy says " do I look like I wanna work wit you dude??"
I’m sure glad I’m not the only one that ends up with 3/4 of a cord of lumber in my projects.
Does it not have a heater so it helps start on the cold mornings like your videos drove massyfergson trackers all turbo driving like 190 turbo that tractor just pull and pull none stop pulled a big grass chopper and a trailers all day long
How hard is it to work on the pto mine does not move but spins freely by hand any help appreciated thanks
You could use a 12 volt RV AC unit on the top of that tractor to piss everyone off even worse.
Whenever my wife and I go anywhere she drives that way I can "window shop" as she calls it some of my best finds were out of the car window
I’ve found some treasures the same way!
Spare Parts ??? some day you might get an 1105 & an 1150 😁
😆😆👍🏼😉
Just wondering if you’re a mechanic you seem be very knowledgeable of these tractors 🚜
Not by trade, just have a lot of experience with them
Hey J.T. Do you still have to investigate the prestone mixing with the oil ?
Yes, but I think it’ll have to wait till I can run it hard and make some heat/pressure. It hasn’t put a drop in since I’ve had it, and a pressure test yielded no leaks…
Paint on tractor,is like make up on a woman. Looks better lol ! Enjoyed watching JT!
Wow when that ol gal started I thought for sure Gretta and 40 of her brain dead deciples were going to storm your barn!
Does the 1155 have glow plugs or intake manifold pre-heater
It does not. There’s no starting aids on that one lol
👍
If only fluffy had opposable thumbs she would be so much help😂
I’ve often thought the same 😁
What part of USA do you live in, your MO is very similar to my own
I’m in Michigan
I had always thought of US farming on a huge acreage , great to see it on a scale similar to Ireland,
ya say that was from a 1130, im gona look for more holes on mine
Yep, from what I read in the parts books, this is for a “western” model I believe? Just glad it all worked out
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 hell ya. it looked like a better design
I don’t know how you do all that stuff to sell
I have not sold this
I have a 1100 massey
Looks like that might weigh just a little bit less than a full grown elephant 🐘 😅 😬
Only slightly 😆
"Put it on a timer"""
Nothing on a tractor that size is light.
Ether equals rebuild the engine soon.
Why lift weights when you can lift tractor parts 💪🤣🤣🤣
Bingo!
Piss em off... paint her pretty like... masseys deserve to be pretty
Yes! It’s at least straight! It’ll be way better than it is now 😉
Nope, nope, nope. Clean the damn thing. Only takes a few minutes in the grand scheme of things.
1155 pest control 😂😂
😂 lol
Why don't you hire some help?
Man you should do a video on what this tractor cost you and then what it cost to get it back going, i think that would be interesting.
I was thinking of that too. Might do some type of a start to finish montage with costs after it’s all done.
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 I always wanted to do one on mine , but didn’t wanna passout
