Great video Nick! Nice to see what is like in this part of Portugal in the winter months. It cracks me up hearing you say the weather is really bad yet you're walking around in a short sleeve shirt. Its a balmy -6 C where I am in Canada 9hrs after you posted this.
Hi. I've been enjoying your videos, thanks. Can I ask your advice? Which would you recommend more - living on the outskirts of Obidos or the outskirts of Santarem? (I'm mostly interested in low cost of living, quality of life, nice countryside feel, but I'm NOT bothered about the beach, nightlife, restaurants, history). I'm only about 5 years away from retirement so I'm looking buy a small detached house where I can work online then retire. Cheers!
Hi Andrew, to be honest, I don't know those areas super well but if I were you I'd go check them out and check out a few homes for sale there. My gut says Santarém though.
You were just minutes from our new apartment in Sao Martinho do Porto. We've been following you since we lived in the USA, and we've finally migrated as of Oct 1st. Thanks for all your vids. Maybe we can tell you one day about our experience in migrating. Like you, we also have one daughter- aged 3. Getting her enrolled in pre-school was quite the adventure. Take care.
Awesome, I woulld love to hear all about it! Congrats on the move / I am really curious about your expectations versus reality - drop me a line through www.algarveaddicts.com/contact

Heheh, thanks Steve. Yeah, it's all relative and when it clouds over here we all reach for our winter coats!
Great video. Nice to see a quick tour of that part of Portugal.
Thanks for watching Michael 👍🏼
Great to see all the different BGA hubs ... and wow, that Obidos hub looks pretty fancy!
It certainly does! Yes, what am incredible job has been done growing the school. I'm amazed.
Love all of your videos Nick. Thanks very much, 👍 Zack
You're welcome Zack
Great video … as always 👍
Thanks Andy, much appreciated 🙏🏼
My neck of the woods. Lets see if you were somewhere I have not been ;)
Nice video! Quick question: What's the coffee like there? Dark roasts? Light roasts? Traditional Italian? Something more modern? Thanks!
If you like chocolate, be sure to return to Obidos on April 24th 🍫 for the Chocolate Festival
I love chocolate! We've actually been to the chocolate festival there, but it was a long 15 years ago.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply 👍🏻 I’ll book a week there next chance I get
Be careful Nick or she's going to become the star of the show:)
I'd be happy for her to be! 😎👍🏼
