I love this movie so much. Probably for me it's Colin Farrell's best performance.
Same
yes... and phonebooth, if you have seen tht.
@@jaceeaster2246 phone booth sucks!!!
Guy Ritchie wishes he'd made this
Yea big time 🤣
He doesn't have the high brow sensibilities. Lock Stock and Snatch were flukes.
@Jill Sandwich do you even know what fluke means? An unlikely occurance. As in they were good films made by an otherwise bad film maker.
@@andyptv1996 And The Gentleman was just him trying to fluke it again by doing the same thing he used to do
So glad you watched this, EVERYONE likes this film but so many still haven't seen it.
It was great I really enjoyed it!
You definitely need to watch “The Guard” starring Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle. Directed by the director of “In Bruges” older brother.
I will add that to my list thanks bud!
Yes the guard (guard being a southern Irish police man) is very good you will love it !
@@AfterWorkReactions Yes it's so good
@@AfterWorkReactions the gaurd is hilarious you'll definitely enjoy that
@@AfterWorkReactions it a amazing seriously
One of my favourite movies, made me want to go to Bruges and it is 'like a fucking fairy tale'
LOL it for sure was an awesome movie!
Brendan hasn't made a bad movie. Watch The Guard - similar vein. You'll appreciate the interplay and development between the Irish cop and American FBI agent. Love it
Yes watch the guard!!!
He should also watch the gentlemen Colin Farrell is good in that one
Brendan Gleeson was in a film called "Calvary" that lines up with the others mentioned quite well. Phenomenally talented guy. :)
Hampstead is a bad Brendan Gleeson movie
Even the short film he did for Irish class was good 🤣
I absolutely loved this film! Colin Farrell won a best actor Golden Globe for this role and truly well deserved it. Another crazy film that he's in is Seven Psychopaths.
believe the same director as this one made that. Wild picture.
"What's a lollipop man doing knowing karate? What is he, a chinese lollipop man?" 😂 love this film
You're an inanimate fucking object!
This is in my top 5 favourite films. Can watch it a dozen times and still notice new details.
Its brilliant
My favourite detail is that his hand looks normal in the scene but in a publicity shot where he's holding the phone, his hand has cuts and red spots on it, clearly from smashing the phone against the desk.
When "Raglan Road" kicks in at the top of the tower, you know it's not going to end well for Brendan Gleeson.😔
Definitely watch Seven Psychopaths, same director and similar tone and just as good.
Thanks bud I will check it out.
I like In Bruges more but that is a great picture
In Bruges is such an underrated film. The slow pace of the film at the start reflects how Colin Farrell's character feels about being in Bruges - no excitement, quiet, not much going on - them bam the last 20 mins or so is great with the twists.
This is an outstanding movie and one of my favourites. It's also Colin farrell's best performance by far.
I agree man I loved it!
One of my favorite movies. A million amazing lines and facial expressions, and then the most realistic chase scene ever at the end.
Seen a few 'In Bruges' reactions and this was the best of them.
Thanks man I appreciate that!
The guard is also a good film, with Brendan gleeson, Don cheedle and Mark strong
yesssssss agree 100%
Oh yes,
I try to watch The Guard only once a year in March as I celebrate my Irish and have other Irish movies and a six series television show to squeeze in but I find myself watching The Guard two or three times a year because it's such a funny movie, the dialogue and direction is spot on and Brendan Gleason's acting is magnificently hilarious.
I think my favourite character is this is actually the hotel owner. I mean Clemence Poesy is insanely cute but I think I'd marry that woman.
Voldemort, Mad-eye Moody and Fleur Delacour all in one movie again.
Don't forget, Colin Farrell is part of the HP universe too
@@pinkyperky3506 And for all we know, the actor playing the dwarf actor might have been a Goblin in Gringotts.
@@bighuge1060 that's Jordan Prentice. He wasn't in Harry Potter, but he did help play Howard the Duck
I’m liking this before I’ve seen it. Just because In Bruges is brilliant and Josh is a great reactor.
Seven Psychopaths and 3 Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri are both from the same director, both excellent
Man, I love this movie. In my top ten, and for someone whose other favourite movies are romcoms and Disney films, that’s saying something. I love the themes - Ray the sinner, Ken the saviour figure, Harry the avenging angel of death.
I think that Bruges represents purgatory and that’s why it ends on the note that we don’t know if Ray lives or dies - the audience is invited to deliberate on whether he deserves salvation or damnation - and also is part of why he hates Bruges so much. There’s also the beautiful cinematography of Bruges and the themes of innocence vs experience with the way that Harry and Ken talk about Ray on the phone as if he’s a child. I could write a whole dissertation this movie. Thanks for the react 😊
This is one of my top 5 movies of all-time. It makes you laugh out loud and cry all within 90 mins.
Great film. The big guy chasing him is funny as.
I'd forgotten about that movie, was good as I remember and quite under rated.
It was really good I enjoyed it alot =]
In Bruges is one of my favourite films ever. And the absolute best dialogue ever. I still havent been to Bruges yet but its on my bucket list.
I agree I loved it!
Seen this a while back and have re-watched it since. It's a great movie.
From where I am in the UK, it would take 6.5 hrs to drive to Bruges, including going on the Channel tunnel train (Eurostar). When the lockdowns ease, I'm very tempted to visit it. It looks an awesome place.
Great movie. I actually visited Bruges off the back of this movie. If you’re after lesser known British cult movies can I suggest Dog Soldiers? It’s an amusing take on a werewolf film involving soldiers on manoeuvre practice. Some gory scenes but plenty of amusing north east England based humour.
Dog Soldiers is great! Sean Pertwee!
Excellent movie. Thanks for reviewing this dude!
No problem bud I really enjoyed it!
As well as Seven Psychopaths and Three Billboards, you should check out the director's first film he made before this - a 25 minute short called Six Shooter, which is on UA-cam. It won him his first Oscar, stars Brendan Gleeson again, and is just as a darkly hilarious and unpredictable.
Great reaction dude. Nothing I'd change about this movie. Its a hidden gem
Mad eye moody.
Brendan Gleeson is in a film called the general, it's a true story and it's fantastic.
These rolls really suit Colin Farrell much better, This was such a funny film just don't realise how funny our slang is till you hear it on screen😂🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
He didn't jump head first because he wanted to survive. The whole point was to warn Ray that Voldemort was after him.
Watch "the snapper" Colm Meeney is in it, very Irish humour though
Thanks man I will check that out.
@@AfterWorkReactions There are 3 films all from the early 90's set in Dublin based on Roddy Doyle books, The Snapper, The Van and The Commitments. All 3 are classic Irish films, The Commitments is probably the most famous because the band from in the film actually ended up having afew hits in the music charts. Interesting fact the lead singer was only 16 when filming started but looked and sounded about 30
You should check out the guard it’s also got Brendan Gleason paired up with don cheadle
The Guard is brilliant. Love that film
One of the best films made this century.
*When I was in school a girl threw herself off the Science Block around 14 floors high. She was still alive until they tried to move her, I won't get into details because UA-cam have a habit of deleting graphic details*
Brilliant movie! The end scene is one of the best
Brendan Gleason was in "Gangs of New York" and a great film "At the Heart of the Sea" BOTH EXCELLENT MOVIES👍👍👍👍👍👍
The Guard.
End of.
Remember watching this with zero expectation and remembering it was really good
You’re reactions are the best I’ve seen on this platform bro truly entertaining and enjoyable content you produce and can’t get enough of it
I played football (soccer) with the director…and his brother…in Regent’s Park years ago.
"You can't go up there"
"Why not?"
"Cause your fooking elepants"
LOL
COLIN FARREL IS HILARIOUS IN "HORRIBLE BOSSES" 👍👍👍👍👍
This is the BEST movie ever… it’s incredible
Brendan was Mad-Eye Moody, Ralph Fiennes was Voldemort, Ciarán Hinds was Aberforth Dumbledore, Clémence Poésy was Fleur Deacour... whilsts Fleurs husband in Harry Potter - Bill Weasley - was played by Brendans real life son, Domhnall Gleeson... so a lot of Harry Potter connections to the movie, and of course, Colin Farrell was in 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' for good measure too!
And don't forget the Murdered Priest was played by Alan Rickman who played Snape, so there's another connection.
@@sje9305 thats not Alan Rickman
@@jencheevers983 ah, my mistake. But when you Google 'Alan Rickman In Bruges', its Hinds who comes up so the resemblance obviously fooled a few people lol
Colin farell stars in an Irish move called "intermission" you should check it out, its crazy.
This film is a masterpiece.
BRUGES IS THE BEST PRESERVED MEDIEVAL ARCHITECTURE IN EUROPE. AND IT HAS CANALS LIKE VENICE OR HOLLAND. ❤❤❤❤❤
The alcoves are lovely though 😂
second!
Very funny movie
"you gounna chase me then!!
LOL it was great!
Bruges is so beautiful.
Great film... but Bruges is so beautiful.
Raglan road is an old folksong about dublin city.
Just a brilliant film
Ralph Fiennes is terrifying (he barely if ever, blinks in his scenes in this movie) and is also fucking hilarious. Love that man.
One of my favorites!
He pauses even though he should just hit the c%%t..one of the best lines..or when Ken says to Harry its like a f ing fairytale
"the alcoves"
One of my favourite movies. Absolutely hilarious and sad!!!
"A bottle?". Best line.
A truly great movie. The three main actors do a terrific job.
Loved this movie
Also,Harry was Voldamort in Harry Potter
Great film 🤣🤣🤣
I agree, I loved it.
One of my personal top 10.
"Don't say you didn't have it coming, short arse!" XD
Crazy Irish, lol. Could you please do,[ Redirected ], its a Lithuanian-British gangster action comedy. The film features four friends turned first-time robbers who get stranded in Eastern Europe and have to find their way back home. I laughed my head off the whole time I watched it. ..Thank you, Josh.
You really need to watch another Irish movie called 'The Guard'.
Also with Brendan Gleeson
She had a bottle! 😂
Great movie .im Belgian and live in Bruges ,i saw part of the filming. Still popular with the tourists here ..
I'm really glad you got around to watching this movie, it's one of my favourites seen it like a dozen times. If you haven't already, watch There Will Be Blood Daniel Day Lewis nailed that role
Guy punches out a woman. 'God bless him, dude!'
xD
It's like a Guy Ritchie film but better.
Voldemort, mad eye moody and Fleur Delacour
It's not great is it? It's the 'Alright Tower of Bruges'.
"Yeah it goes up in the air for ages but so does Steve"
@@tipperary1082 hahaha you done him agaaaain.
Finally someone who actually laughs at this film! it's hilarious and all the reactions i've seen noone is laughing lol
This is one of my favorite films, I'm glad you watched it.
Check out Brendan Gleeson in ‘The Guard’ brilliant movie
Gleeson was in Braveheart to
I enjoy 'so bad it's good' & good movies but this is even better, sth. special, definitely (f'n) brilliant!
LOL I agree =]
As others have said definitely do a reaction to the guard. It's more straight comedy than In Bruges, but it's that same pitch black Irish type humor. Very very funny film.
A little piece of British hard luck, all in one film,
One of them films you've got to see in your lifetime,, just think how lucky you are to have seen this, as there's millions out there who haven't got to see this masterpiece..
If you go to Belgium make sure you visit Bruges. Although you might want to avoid the bell tower!
This movie makes me proud to have my name
Great movie starring Voldemort, mad-eye moody, fleur delacour and Percival graves
I don't think Harry killed the ticket booth bloke, he just gave him a good hiding.
Oh ok makes sense!
Dude you should watch Love Honour and Obey... "Fix Bayonets!"
SOOO underrated, that movie is awesome
The Guard
Great Film
Thanks bud I will add it to my list.
You should definitely check out “Intermission” Colin Farrell, Cillian Murphy , also Kelly Macdonald & Shirley Henderson (Both from trainspotting). I think you’d really enjoy it. Keep up the great work. Paul from Dublin
Josh you should give chopper a watch it's a crime drama with a lot of funny scenes in its about an Australian stand over man called chopper Reid definitely worth a watch
Voldemort and Mad Eye made up before the end to establish that Voldemort *was* a man of principles. And I think that the racist dwarf was shot like this because other than the other characters, he didn't actually harm anyone, so he didn't deserve to suffer.
Great flick
The city of Bruges is purgatory. Have they already died? They’re trapped in purgatory, waiting for their inevitable fate which will be a release
Have you ever seen so much setup and payoff in a single movie? I finally got around to watching In Bruges last week, and damn, what a trip.
This is like a perfect movie.
Best British gangster comedy film? Love honour and obey. You'd love it
Love this film, 👍🙂👍
Brilliant movie, love Bruges great place to visit aswell.
Isn't that in the EUSSR?
That movie is fucking great
