Ralph Fiennes (pronounced "Fines") and Clemence Poesy were also in the Harry Potter films.
What the heck voldemort and fleur?
He's the one we noticed at the end (Mikey made Joe mad for interrupting!)
It's okay ;)
@@732ReviewCrew I was laughing so hard that you guys completely missed the fact that Ralph Fiennes (prounced Fine) who played Harry in this movie is Voldemort in Harry Potter! 😂🤣 Great reaction! This is one of my all time fav movies!
Ralph (pronounced Rafe) played Lord Voldermort and is one of the greatest living actors.
I disagree on rewatchability. I find this movie rewatchable.
I think that one thing that you guys missed was why Ken was so dedicated to saving Ray.
Ken didn't owe any personal debt to Ray. Instead, it's very clear that Ken has deep moral regrets about his career as a hitman. He telegraphs them throughout the film, like with the "lolipop man" conversation, or his explanation to Harry at the top of the tower. Ken sees Ray botch his first ever hit and realizes that he could just as easily have been in Ray's position at some point in his life, and he could be the one facing down Harry's wrath. He's willing to lay down his life because he feels that his soul is at stake. Ken needs to know that a man like Ray can be redeemed for his crimes, because if Ray can't be redeemed, then neither can Ken.
Ohhh
@@732ReviewCrew Basically every line in the movie is related to the theme of judgement vs. redemption. I'd highly recommend a rewatch with the thematic content in mind.
That movie was so wild. Didn't know a thing about it when I randomly picked it up from a movie rental store, but it became an instant favourite. The writing and characters are so damn amazing.
I love In Bruges, and find it very rewatchable. Everyone is on their A game not a bad performance in the movie. Even the unsung parts Thekla Reuten as the hotel owner and Zeljko Ivanek as the Canadian guy. You guys might like the Guard also staring Brendon Gleeson and written and directed by John McDonagh the brother of Martin McDonagh who wrote and directed In Bruges.
Martin McDonagh wrote and directed this, and if you're wondering why this film feels so unique, a lot of that is down to him. He's a playwright and a lot of his plays feel similar to this movie -- dark and slightly absurd humor with a third-act gut punch.
Thanks to Mikey, Joe and Mike! 💎 My late friend Rob introduced me to this one. Everything I've seen by writer/director Martin McDonagh, I've loved. Rob and I actually met Mr. McDonagh at a free screening for SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS (2012).
We're glad you enjoyed. ❤️❤️

Mad Eye Moody, Voldemort, and Fleur Delacour from Harry Potter, and Gellert Grindlewald from Fantastic Beasts... it's one of the joys watching actors from the UK. The quality of their talents puts them in so many productions before Hollywood gets to know them, that there's always brilliantly unexpected stuff in their back catalogues. I really loved this back when I watched it, and 100% agree with Mike - it's so oddly flawless there's no reason to go back and re-watch. I'm glad you had such fun watching it.
Also the Priest is Aberforth Dumbledore
@@spurgurius YES! That's who I couldn't think of! All I could think of was Mance Rayder in GoT. I *knew* he'd been in Harry Potter, but couldn't make my brain see him as anyone else. THANKS!
@@derrisreaditbefore Ye well hes unrecognizable
and such a small role, easy to forget.
Only Ralph Fiennes is from the UK. The rest are Irish or European.
@@user-pi4gw8lf8b And Fiennes is a master at changing his voice. He sounds nothing like that.
The director and the two leads reunited for a movie called "The Banshees of Inisherin" recently and thought it was a better movie than this one. Just as weird, but the messaging is more nuanced than here. The most unique movie ive seen in a while.
Oh, wow, didn't even realize. Makes total sense, Banshees was just as amazing, maybe better.
Definitely check out everything this writer/director has done! Seven Psychopaths, Three Billboards, and Banshees of Inisherin!
"I 'hiit' the Canadian."
Colin DeNiro.
The movie is written and directed by Martin McDonagh, and pretty much everything he's written and directed is great. You should put "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri" (which won several Oscars) and "Seven Psychopaths" on your poll. Like this film, both funny, dark and very well written
Loved Seven Psychopaths.....great little film!
stone cold classic comedy. so well written, banshees is another great one involving most of the same peeps
Now watch every other Martin McDonagh film, they're all fantastic.
Fun fact, the dwarf in this movie also played the big bag of weed in Harold and Kumar go to white castle
It's hard to describe how much I love this film. It's in my top five.
Very enjoyable reaction. Been a while since I've watched In Bruges but watching the reaction makes me remember how very good and funny it is. It is my favorite by Martin McDonagh. Personally, I find the twists in his better known movies to cross the line of plausible. The acting by all in this is fantastic especially the two leads.
Looks like the dude in the middle doesn't like the little dude on the left (his right of course), and it is not the first time I noticed hahahaha!
Its a great movie and a great reaction guys - thanks
McDonagh is probably best known in U.S. for his film "Three Billboards Ouside Ebbing, Missouri". Like "The Banshees of Innishirin", many of the actors were nominated for Oscars and Frances Mcdormand and Sam Rockwell won.
Seven Psychopaths is another good one by McDonagh with Christopher Walken, Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell and Woody Haralson
The Banshees of Inisherin is also brilliant, same director with Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell.
Great movie pick 👌
nice video ^^ normaly i am not rly in teh most movies you guys react to but this is rly one of my favorite movies :)
european movies are kinda different xD tahts why i always try to make you react to city of the lost children xD
Glad you enjoyed
Never seen it but Bruges is full of toutists since the movie. Thanks McDonagh.
It's a like a fairy tale
@@732ReviewCrewI see what you did there. 🤣
I went to Bruges. Worth a day trip. But not much more than that. Nice train ride from Brussels.
You guys need to watch London.
First time watching the scene where Ken stops Ray from killing himself I thought he was gonna kill a kid on the playground behind Ray for a split second... then when the dwarf got shot I lost it.
25:25 We learn why Harry seems so frustrated all the time.
Lad in the black t-shirt made some very good points. Unfortunately the lad in the red t-shirt seemed to be annoyed every time lad in black t-shirt spoke. Spoiled the review of a great film.
