  • Time - its passage, its perceived linearity, its actual nonlinearity, and our places and lives within it - all forms the philosophical basis for this music. My inspiration started with a poem by Bill Knott which also seems to beg questions on time - specifically its impact on us as it passes us by. At times beautiful, grotesque, surreal, and whimsical, I offer up this work as a prolonged meditation on time and our lives as they are, as they were, and as they may become.
    Fingerprints Look Like Ripples Because Time Keeps Dropping Another Stone Into Our Palm. was premiered by the Sofia Philharmonic on July 6, 2024, at Bulgaria Hall in Sofia, Bulgaria as a part of the Sofia Symphonic Summit. Tyler Austin served as conductor for the premiere, and to him I express my sincerest gratitude.
