I ran Amsoil break-in oil the first hour, them switched to Amsoil Small engine 5w-30. I have 6 hours total, and 5 on this oil and its incredibly clean. I got the magnetic dip stick which helps too. Just did a compression test and it's right at 148psi. Not too bad.
I have a Champion generator and they are exactly the same! But they recommend changing the oil after 5 hours brake in and there after change it every 50 hours under extreme use and 100 hours under normal use. I noticed that my oil was clean after the break in period?

Half full of oil!!! Your gonna burn that generator up!!!!
Right..he shouldn't have screwed dip stuck in to check oil so doing it that way and only halfway up the stick means its low on oil
I think my oil level sensor is the issue. Anybody knows how to disconnect it temporarily?
