Thank you I’m in Penn foster and was struggling with ECG as there is no lectures and only the book/the Penn foster notes and this helps bring everything together!
I would love to know the consequences and treatment of each arrythmia. I was watching your video a few months ago because my bulldog had 2 episodes that caused him to collapse. His body was limp but he would track me with his eyes. It took 10 to 20 min for him to return to normal. We did and ecg and ultrasound and sent to a cardiologist. They said they noticed and arrythmia on the ecg,did not identify what kinda, listed ones common to the breed but recommended a holter monitor to determine the frequency. His ultra sound was normal on every aspect of the assessment. He passed away before we got the holter monitor. He laid down while walking through the kitchen and was instantly non responsive. He was 13 and the love of my life. I tried so hard to learn so i could ask the right questions. Your videos are quality and helped me when i was helping him fight for his life. 😢
I’m so sorry to hear this. It’s harder than words can express to lose one of our family. It sounds like you did everything you could for him and he was lucky to have a mom who fought for him. It sounds like his work up was appropriate. Arrhythmias can be tricky, they so seldom look textbook like the way you learn about them. And they can be very intermittent. I’d be worried your guy was going into episodes of v-tach based on what you’re describing, and it sounds like the holter would’ve been the appropriate next step. Most acquired arrhythmias can’t be cured, we just attempt to control them for a time, but they’ll eventually stop responding to treatment. I hope you find solace knowing you did everything you could for him.
@@jenniferlyonsvts yes, your opinion, whether it is good or bad news to me is extremely valuable. Your videos have helped me take care of him in the past. I'm so grateful to the time and effort you put into learning and also into explaining in your videos. Thanks again
Love you, please keep it up❤❤❤ I am still a student pursuing College of Veterinary Nursing I benefit from ur explanatios a lot I am waiting for more clinical educational videos from you
The sources are many. Silverstein hoppers critical care book, multiple cardiology books, many many many articles from pubmed, deranged physiology, Norkus tech manual, Andrea Steeles critical care book.
I agree, sadly it’s pretty difficult to get subtitles in the really long videos. But, I think the UA-cam closed captioning button on the video itself does a fairly decent job with the auto generated subtitles.
