They dont have to score 45+ points to beat teams. The offense has to play just good enough. Give the offense a month to prepare for someone and they will show up do their part. Bet.

I've seen a lot of interviews with Norvell. He may be soft-spoken, but he's NEVER come across as a pushover to me. He seems like he is one of those guys who has class for days, like Bowden did. As a Clemson Tiger, I look forward to many years of fingernail biting with him at the helm of FSU, since that's the match-up the ACC has as our major rivalry playing 7x a cycle in the new format. It's honestly no fun to play games when the outcome is a foregone conclusion. It's so much better when you have a worthy opponent, don't you think? I like what Norvell has done at FSU. I hope it makes Swinney get off his duff.

13-0. ACC Champs. No such thing as impressive loss a loss is a loss. This Nole team and especially defense can play with any team in the history of college football.
And the fact they have won without key players should account for more not less. These young men and their coach deserve a playoff spot. People protest for things throughout this country that does not affect them in anyway well if you want to protest for something that does matter this I think would be one of those times. Come on students let your voices be heard for these great players and their great and deserving coach.

I felt Mike's aggravation at 13:59. It's like we are being punished for being in the ACC. Nobody talking about Washington being left out. They had close wins. Their conference isn't the best. Why? They just love to hate us. 🤦

We beat 19 teams and we're undefeated against the ACC refs this season. Being undefeated against the ACC refs should get us in. They've made some bad calls and missed calls that have hampered us all season.

It's a travesty most questions were about whether fsu deserves to go to playoffs and not about this amazing season and team. F espn for trying to ruin our fun. Norvell was getting pissed
I went to grad school at both Clemson and Miami. When it comes to that funny thing called "school pride," we're trained to dislike FSU. However, what's fair is fair. When Clemson was the undefeated ACC champion, there was no question they were in the playoffs. Clemson won a National Championship with a true freshman QB, so Travis' injury should be a non-issue; you don't put one man on the field, you put 11 on offense, 11 on defense, 11 on special teams, at any given time. While the QB is important, any school that doesn't have a quality QB2, considering that the purpose of institutions of higher learning is to graduate students and have them LEAVE after a few years, is *in the least* an unprepared school. Mike Norvell alone is not that dumb, let alone the rest of the FSU athletic department.
That ANYONE is questioning FSU's worthiness to be in that top 4 is utterly ridiculous.
That ACC Championship game *should have* shut up all the sports reporting naysayers, and the fact that it didn't should be evidence that they are not good at what they do, and do not use logic. FSU beat TWO SEC teams this year - HANDILY - one with a 2nd-string QB making his first start ever. They beat a Clemson team IN CLEMSON that was better than their record, they beat all of the ranked ACC teams in a year when 11 ACC teams are bowl-eligible, which is more than any other conference. They won the ACC Championship in a year when there were no divisions, only the teams with the two best records played. Last week, they were the only team in the Top 5 who beat their rival by more than one score.
When I was at Clemson, Bowden's FSU beat the living daylights out of the Tigers every single time they played us. That's why Clemson eventually hired his son, and how Clemson eventually ended up with Swinney. It was just Clemson's attempt to finally beat FSU. Everyone else then needed to try to be competitive with Clemson. The ACC has Bobby Bowden and FSU to thank for its higher level of play in NCAA football, and giving props where they are due, Norvell's success should not surprise anyone, because the surprise was that FSU was NOT dominant for a period of time, not that it is today.
Norvell should not be having to beg or "state his case" for inclusion in the CFP. His team earned their spot. Anything less is sheer anti-ACC bias.

If the CFP leaves FSU out and they win their NY6 game, FSU should raise a National Championship banner to spite the CFP. Wouldn't be the first time, and FSU would have more reason to than 2017 UCF. It would be especially true if the CFP winner ends up as a 1-loss team. This is why I have faith the CFP Committee won't leave FSU out. Also, FSU shouldn't be any lower than 3rd seed. Defense wins championships.

Regardless of any opinion. Since FSU did get left out to only #5 in CFP rankings as an Undefeated P5 Champion. By law of NCAA, with the old school Poll & H2H method called the Colley Matrix. FSU according to AP/PI/CP Polls with their resume, still has a shot to claim their share of the National Title w/ Alabama because the rule itself still existing currently. That said: Outside of CFB, FSU is still ahead of Bama in all other polls. UGA is the 2nd common opp. FSU & Bama have shared this season. FSU already has the advantage with a larger margin win over LSU. Bama only beat UGA by 3. FSU needs 4+ in the win margin over UGA whilst remaining undefeated with only Bama winning out in the playoffs to eliminate all other 3 teams simultaneously for both teams to share the Title. It's crazy but true.

This FSU team at full strength would’ve been dominated by every team that did get in. Meanwhile Georgia won 29 straight games playing tougher competition and had to play a real CFP contender in their conference championship and beat themselves and lost by 3 and instead of crying about not making the CFP they are going to destroy FSU. I can see the delusional hippies in Tallahassee saying when Georgia does destroy them that they didn’t have all of their starters.
