Too many moving parts? You had time to get ready for players being out. Departing seniors came back for one more game. The assistants called the game with the same playbook. We got out coached. No adjustments. Couldn't get Allar on track. The tight end offense doesn't work in an SEC shootout. Do something we haven't seen.

Leaving the game today, couldn’t help but wonder what the point of going to most bowl games anymore? With opt outs… it’s a different team, playing a different game. We got killed on the corners… This defense deserved to finish the season better than that. Not judging, but much love and respect to those who chose to play and finish what they started with their brothers. You won’t be forgotten, will be pulling for you in the pros and beyond. (I get the opt out in Chop’s case).

I "watch" the teams we play make game time adjustments before half time to shut down our game strategy but Frank has to stick to the "plan". That's interesting, Coach says "... too many moving parts..." when teams across the country are struggling with exactly the same issues, managing to field quality teams for their respective bowl games. Franklin likes to cast blame when what he needs to do is man up and accept his role in this defeat. His team had flashes of competence but lacked the consistent, adept play of his opponent. Given the specific landscape of THIS season, the opportunity to take another step forward as a program was clearly there to be had. For the program, for CJF, for recruiting, for national and NIL positioning... Legit windows like that don’t open often (2016 seems so long ago…), and we missed it. So many pieces in place to start the season… and thud. Feels like back to basic rebuilding all over again, a decade in.
I am from Pennsylvania, but have lived in Tennessee for a while I am still a Pittsburgh Steeler Penn State fan, but it's getting ridiculous how the big thing can't win the big games on national TV, Penn State is still running the same plays they have ran for the last 10 years. Ok I feel like I need to defend James at least once here because unlike previous games, there werent many bad play calls here as in previous games. I feel like Ole Miss simply outplayed PSU and the lack of PSU WR not being able to catch balls and/or Allar not hitting the short and intermediate passes has always been an issue and isn't all on Franklins shoulders. Players have to execute. Not having Chop Robinson was obviously going to hurt.

They has 510 total yards on offense. This was also the first game all season they gave up more than 24 points. The defense was the reason they lost.

Penn State wants to be so much with so many things, and clearly this job AND Vanderbilt were too big for him….He’d be a great HS coach, but then they’d have to slow their roll buying mansion in Florida and non stop Jewelry. Franklin had been found out too many times, and PSU sticks with him. I truly believe Penn State isn’t over the tragedy, and feels they can’t get a top tier coach.
Who do you recommend they hire that can do better? Franklin won the Rose Bowl THIS CALENDAR YEAR but people conveniently decide to forget that

That's interesting, Coach says "... too many moving parts..." when teams across the country are struggling with exactly the same issues, managing to field quality teams for their respective bowl games. Franklin likes to cast blame when what he needs to do is man up and accept his role in this defeat. His team had flashes of competence but lacked the consistent, adept play of his opponent. Penn State were second class today, only a small part of that is on the players.
He's become quite the post game comedy act... "too many moving parts".... and notice how he's acting like he's the one who's miffed, looking for someone to blame 😆

Given the specific landscape of THIS season, the opportunity to take another step forward as a program was clearly there to be had. For the program, for CJF, for recruiting, for national and NIL positioning... Legit windows like that don’t open often (2016 seems so long ago…), and we missed it. So many pieces in place to start the season… and thud. Feels like back to basic rebuilding all over again, a decade in.
This guy and program WILL NEVER WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP! As long they win 9 or 10 games and go to some bowl, fans are satisfied...NOT ME!

I am from Pennsylvania, but have lived in Tennessee for a while I am still a Pittsburgh Steeler Penn State fan, but it's getting ridiculous how the big thing can't win the big games on national TV, Penn State is still running the same plays they have ran for the last 10 years. Coach Franklin may need to come back to a small school like Vanderbilt he can't handle the big programs.

Franklin is a good recruiter, but he's not a great coach. He hasn't shown that he can get the most out of his teams. He's had the talent to be in the national championship picture, but he stinks as a coach. His teams under achieve all the time.

SEC's best is holding up pretty well. Auburn loses to incredibly weak team one week and, the next, challenge a Georgia or Bama. Got to wonder about the HUGE variations in performance. Coaching problem?

Ok I feel like I need to defend James at least once here because unlike previous games, there werent many bad play calls here as in previous games. I feel like Ole Miss simply outplayed PSU and the lack of PSU WR not being able to catch balls and/or Allar not hitting the short and intermediate passes has always been an issue and isn't all on Franklins shoulders. Players have to execute. Not having Chop Robinson was obviously going to hurt.
