38 years old, 20 years in the army and seeing this in person turns me into a kid all over again. Nothing like seeing the Cleveland National Airshow over Lake Erie!!!! Priceless!!!!
I am ashamed what no plan joe is doing to America especially to our military that put themselves in harm's for our country. Erik I'm 77yr and I never seen people around the world laughing at America. I guess what I'm seeing is politicians aren't doing their job ,America has laws on the books and the people that are in Position are not doing their jobs . The time is coming the American citizens are going take America or it will be a 3rd world country. I'M SAD TO SAY THIS BUT ITS COMING.
I miss the 1980's when military aircraft could use their afterburners to their maximum potential out in the remote California desert. You could hike to nearby ridges and get views of aircraft flying near 900 kts as they followed the military low level training routes. The sound of freedom rolling across the desert. Those were the days.
F-18’s are ments, but an F-14B or D fully swept wing with the GE-110’s in full afterburner is an experience straight out of a fairybook bevause of the feeling of the sheer rumbles and air being ripped to shreds
Yes F18 at 1,200 mph is fast & cool for sure but I love the F15 coming in at roughly 1,900 mph. Be underneath that when it come streaking by at warp speed ripping the heavens open. Daaammnn!!!! F15/F14 everything else stay on the tarmac!!
A long time ago our group, during work took a chartered bus to a lakeside park to have a picnic and watch the Blue Angles practice. We did this twice and enjoyed the food, friends and flybys. ;-) It's my understanding the cone of condensation produced by a jet aircraft (especially at lower altitudes is due to thicker air) disappears when the aircraft breaches the sound barrier?
Its especially irritating when they play a PERFECT song for 5 seconds, then jump to a horrible one that doesnt work whatsoever and play that one for full duration. Like, you have no taste for music. Just shut it off.
It’s not so bad. The trick is you just have to make sure you’re close enough to the aircraft them selves but far away enough from the speakers. I’m going to my 21st airshow this year and what I have found is he put yourself right on the fence closer to the right side you’ll be farther away from the speaker but right in front of the aircraft.
They have to do it because 90% of the time the aircraft aren't visible to the naked eye, so they have to do something to fill in the time between passes...
I was with my uncle at Castle AFB in the late 70's and the crowd watching the Thunderbirds practice screamed at some 20 year old kids to turn off their car stereo....and at these air shows they blast music. It's an irritating crime.
Sigh....8 year USN veteran, for the average American citizen these are high speed passes. 1998 CV-63 steel beach picnic with air-power demonstrations I witnessed F-14 Tomcat 100% break sound barrier at sea level. The shock wave rippled off surface of water.... I'll never forget that experience
Could I use some parts of this footage in a You Tube no monetaized video I'm working on? It'd be really helpful. Coresponding credits will be given. Thanks in advance for your reply.
5:20 imagine showing someone from the early 1900s or even the Wright brothers this clip right here. They would laugh and say that was never achieved and you are pulling their leg. Only 100 years, imagine what they have cooking now.
Very nice. Remember no sonic booms allowed......and see all those folks with cameras.....they want nice photos too...so speed isn't the only thing the show thinks about....take off & landings are good photos too....
3:00 to 3:54 is the Wings over North Georgia Airshow in my hometown. I knew the site looked almost too familiar but the garbage can with the city’s name on the side was a dead giveaway! Lol
@@AviationFreak1 cool is there a way that you can send me that clip or video from that day because I want to see if I can spot myself if that's ok with you
@@HotPasta2122 ok I don't believe the navy has got the F35's carrier ready yet but once/if it happens it'll be replacing the 18 the way the 18 replaced the 14
Always makes me laugh how many people have their cameras and eyeballs pointed in the wrong direction at these things. Had one guy tell me I was looking the wrong way with my camera once. I pointed at the approaching plane he'd completely missed coming round the corner behind him for a perfect photo op. He shut up after that! :D
Most of the high speed passes are between 700 and 900 miles per hour however both the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds have a pass at 1000 miles per hour also the Super Hornet has broke the sound barrier multiple times here in Cleveland at airshow since 2012

These air shows take our breath away when your there in person. So exciting to see them fly!
I love when they are coming out of nowhere at the shows
BTHSB I do but at the same time I hate missing it.

The sneak pass...my favorite
The blue angels love tricking people like that and honestly its awesome
"Quicksilver" gave me chills. That whine....

If you've never had the chance to hear an F18 high speed pass in person, you need to soon. One of the most powerful and jaw dropping noises

Off topic but the jets sound like thunder.

Yuri Ivashchenko Oh yeah. Im a local. Thanks for watching
Amazing airshow
What was that at 7:15? Whatever it was it was hauling. Barely saw it at all.
