Third rewatch, Chris. I learned this time about the subtlety of the ink you select when you stencil. Pumice Stone color is just perfect. Great for a clean and simple card. Thanks again for all I continue to learn from you. From Cheryl in AZ.
Delicate, classy, simple... Love it, Christine! Thank you SO much for sharing your ideas, hints, and talent with us. Every video you do shares yet another valuable golden nugget of ideas and hints about paper crafting and card making! TFS. From Cheryl in AZ, USA.
I am probably your biggest fan! Thank you for another wonderful video. I love that you actually teach techniques and not just how to make “a card”. You inspire me to play and to take risks. I think you are brilliant.
Great idea. I think you could also increase the use if you used the same die but from the back so you get a mirror image, which would help with placement too.❤
@@Chrissieannie. Sorry my fault. If you have enough room on your sheet, you could turn it to the other side, then using the same die it would give a mirror image. So when you look at the original cut if the stem goes one way, you would have it go the other way with the second cut.😊 Hope that makes more sense.
Rewatching your video on using mylar to make stencils. Never thought of using gold gilding wax to stamp grunge marks on a card! Love the subtlety. Thanks so much for the ideas ... again, Chris. From Cheryl in AZ
I tend to forget a lot of what I've done in videos, sometimes I just try something on the spur of the moment!😀😀😀🤣 it's nice to be reminded of what I do!❤️
@@Chrissieannie Chris, what amazes me is I watched this video months ago, early in my journey with your videos, and it was helpful then. However, I realize now how far I have come in my crafting since then. It's worth it to revisit your tutorials because you drop these golden nuggets of wisdom that I find so valuable. Thank you, again. From Cheryl in AZ
Great video - Tim Holtz brushes that comes in a metal tube are perfect for stenciling , they never go under the stencil - once u buy them , they will last forever ..
Dear Christine - in this video you mention how you could end up chatting all day and I thought I’d tell you how much I enjoy listening to you and love your chatty videos. I’ve been paper crafting for thirty years but now ill health is creating difficulties for me and I get my fix by watching crafting videos. I absolutely love yours especially the way you explain everything carefully. It’s a great learning resource. Ah well I’m guilty of chatting on too so see you in the next video.
What a lovely comment Betty. You made me very happy to read this and please know that I love making the videos for you, especially when I get a response like this. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
I have just got some mylar - to make stencils - thank you for the warning . really love the pumicestone coloured stencilling -i'd have that as a card on its own - loved it x
Thank you so much Christine, I really really appreciate your time and effort and knowledge of how you create these gorgeous and stunning backgrounds. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Chris, thank you for another great video!!! I am so glad I stumbled onto your channel! You have a great teaching technique and I could listen to you for hours!!! Your ideas are so refreshing and refined and I absolutely love all of your stuff!! You are amazing!!! ♥️♥️♥️
Wow, thanks so much. It delights me that you enjoy my videos! I hope I can keep thinking of ideas to interest you and that you will give each video you watch a thumbs up! 😊😊😊
Another very useful video, Chris. It's very reassuring to see that even someone who is an experienced and skilled card maker who produces such gorgeous results still has the odd ink blot to remove or stencil to reposition! I had vowed not to get any more Oxides, but those two colours you used are very tempting! Thank you for sharing your expertise with us.
Thanks Christine for another fab video with brilliant ideas and techniques. I’ve been feeling quite low this week and my get up and go had definitely gone! However watching your video this morning has lifted my spirits no end and I feel a lot more positive. I want to thank you so much for taking the time to create these videos as they always brighten a dull day - you are such a natural at them xx

@@Chrissieannie Honestly Christine out of all the card making videos I’ve watched over the years yours are number 1 on my list. They’ve got such a natural, relaxed feeling about them and I love the way you talk to us crafters as if we are there with you. I hope you get as much out of making them as we do watching them. Take care and thanks again xxx
Hello! I don't know how UA-cam arranges these videos; I've only just now found you so I have some catching up to do - not a chore, and will keep me out of mischief. I had to stop the video to laugh at the point where you said "how far have I got, what am I doing?" It's something I say on a very regular basis, as did my mum, and hers, too. I think I've found my new best friend... Best wishes from Northamptonshire 🌻
A micron is a measure of length or in practice, thickness. A micron is a micro millimeter. The Mylar is 250 microns thick, which is equal to .25 mm thick.
I love your style and everything you do. Thanks for sharing your talents with us. I wonder if moving your watch face nearer your thumb on your wrist would help solve the problem of your camera zooming in and out. Plus you could see it more easily. Just a thought.
Thank you... Moving it further up my arm sometimes helps, but I had altered the magnification when I was doing it before and forgot to readjust. So that I was working out of shot!
I make my own stencils using transparency sheets then tack it down where I want to stencil using temporary spray ( experiment before you use) . Would you mind focusing closer to your project - I like to see your techniques closer. 🇨🇦
I truly enjoy your videos Christine. When u do the intricate work, such as stump w gilding wax, if u could provide close up with camera, I would appreciate it. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much, you know when I look through my videos after I have made them I often think exactly the same as you... Why didn't I do a close up of that? To be honest I don't always think of the techy things as I'm making a video I just kind of get on with the project, but I really will try to remember to make sure that a) things I'm doing are always in the shot and b) I do close ups and then remember to revert to a regular shot afterwards. Sometimes my watch alters the magnification without me realising it!
Excellent video. Thank you so much. Will use it for class of CAS creations in April at our club. I live in Arizona in a rather large 55+ year old community. The members are loving that style and many are now on the website as well.

Chris why does your camera zoom right out during your filming, it happens on a lot of your videos, unfortunate, i could actually see the gold you put on as it was too far away.
I think that as my videos are controlled from my watch, sometimes the dial (which affects the focus/zoom) gets moved by the movements of my wrist. I don't always notice... Sorry about that! 😳
Hi Christine I can’t see often what you are doing, so it would be good when you do subtle little things if you either went in closer or bought the paper up to the camera, could no see any of th dots you put on either gold or grey
I take your point, I am usually intent on my project and often completely forget to see what the camera is seeing. Technology is not my forte. I will try harder!
