Right now I am having an issue I can’t figure out.. help? I bought a car with a new clutch. At the beginning. as I started letting out the petal from the floor, the clutch would grab hard. Didn’t have any issues other than a tick when I had the petal out and in N… When I’d press it in the noise went away.. the slave cylinder was bad so I replaced it and the master as well, bled them really well. And still had the tick and the petal would be slow to return all the way.. it would Pop back 60% of the way then slowly the rest of the way.. if you let your foot off the petal fast it basically comes up and then slaps the bottom of your foot.. now when I have clutch pressed in all the way I can’t get into 1st gear.. sometimes if i shift into 4th then try 1st it will work but it’s stiff.. once I get it into 1st gear I can come back to neutral and any other gear ( keep in mind car isn’t moving at all during all this. Just clutch in and manipulating the shifter.) but say i go back to neutral and let the clutch out all the way, then press it in again.. im back to square1 … can’t get into 1st gear.. stiff as a rock.. but I can sometimes get it into 4th and then 1st again after that.. any time I let the clutch out all the way in N I can’t get into 1st … side note when the cars not running I can go through all the gears .. clutch in and out doesn’t affect it.. only while running. Thanks for reading this ..
is the throw out bearing sleeve meant for the 350z or is it the z31 one? and is the bearing the one meant for the z31 or 350z? There is a kit on Z1 Motorports with an upgraded 350z fork, chromoly ball, fork boot, and bearing sleeve. is that the right one?
on my 88 Shiro, totally bent the fork after my ACT street/strip clutch and spring plate upgrade. Wish they made them back then... managed to fix it with some all-thread cut to length to just push the bent fork further. lololol.
back then...was the 2004-2005ish years. Was crazy hard to get any kind of aftermarket upgrades for the z31 that you didn't have to modify to make work.
Great video. I upgraded my clutch (Spec SN453H) with the heavy duty with the 350z clutch fork you recommended and bypassed clutch dampener. Now my car acts as if it is in neutral. I can shift through all gears with pressing the clutch pedal and the car will not move. I've tried adjusting at the pedal with no change. I've replaced clutches many times in the past and I know how to install them. I have an 84 AE with BWT5. New throw out bearing also. Any suggestions? Did you have to adjust your clutch after the upgrade? If so, video? Thanks.
and then you're master/slave cylinders are going to be the only things able to move that fork. Especially with an after market pressure plate/clutch setup.
Are you going to forums to find out things like this can be swapped out? Im really surprised that there is that little change in form over all the years.
Hi, I noticed this guy who's uploaded this video isnt replying to questions, so maybe I could as you how does the bearing "get pressed onto the collar"?
@@timcooper6389 I know im late but the bearing isnt backwards guys smh... Its just an aftermarket one, it looks backwards because its thick. Nonetheless I used a press to get my collar on. or you can do it with a vice.
Turbocharged Creations would u happen to know anything about the twin turbo bellhousing on the 30A? I’m using the z31/z32 hybrid to maintain the 240mm flywheel and z31 clutch. The ring gears are from the TT flywheel. Did u have to make a custom driveshaft? Or would u know if the starters all line up?
Thank you! I’m in the process of getting these components installed. This helped answer my questions. Thank you for the the thoroughness as well.
Thanks man- your instructions saved me from making a big mistake during install!!
What a clean trans! I spend 5 hours getting mine this clean for my 2jz swap

Did you use the 04+ shorter ball with this upgrade? Is that the chrome moly one?

Nice video! Make a video on building the lsd
So my chromoly ball came with a washer. Seems like that’d make a big difference in where it sits

I just realized your pivot ball was the long one. And you swapped it for a short one.. is your trans cd001 or cd009?
He should have a FS5R30A
After installing this on my g35 it seems after I went to connect the slave cylinder and bleed it I realized the fork is sitting in the wrong spot .
Thanks man taught me so much!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Does this also work for the 71c if it’s the one for z speed ?
Anyone know where to get just the Pivot Ball??

Im not fully sure on this, but i dont know if the BWT5 is compatible with the 350z fork, just the 30a
Did you ever fix this I have the same problem, clutch disengaged when I push the pedal down an inch and slips when I press gas down all the way
Thanks for the info. Should the clutch fork have a spring back feel or does I move back and forth without resistance?
mild spring back. the pressure plate is going to throw that thing back in to place when it's all installed.

Will this work for the 84 turbo transmission? (Bw t5 )

Will this clutch fork modification work on the 30A?
Yes
Is the throw out bearing on backwards?(Rotating side should be facing the engine.)
Definitely backwards, 2nd video in a row I've seen them put in backwards

Did the pivot ball and throw out bearing that was pressed on all come from the 350Z as well?
Pivot ball yes, throw out was just a z31 one

Did you have to change your slave cylinder also?
Just a stock z31 slave
@@TurbochargedCreations thanks
@@TurbochargedCreations was it hard to bolt the slave cylinder in because mine barely fits
Good job sir👍👌
Ahh that how you do it
Now i see
