Equipping Your Insurgency: A Guide to the Small Arms Market
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 чер 2024
- Delving into the shadowy realm of the small arms trade, we unravel a web of clandestine dealings and backroom deals that span the entire globe, arming insurgents, equipping terrorists, and bolstering criminal networks, creating some of the world's most volatile regions. As these weapons cross borders, both through legal and illegal means, their paths become increasingly complicated, but the underlying fundamentals beneath the trade remains stubbornly rigid. In this deep dive, we seek to unpack the trends that drive the industry, identify which markets are currently hotbeds of small arms sales, and explore the nuanced dynamics that completely change the procurement patterns of cartels or regional insurgency groups. We unpack a hypothetical scenario of a theoretical insurgency group to demonstrate the unexpected challenges faced by these insurgency groups with a panel of industry experts:
On the panel this week:
- Nicholas Marsh (PRIO)
- Franz J. Marty (Swiss Institute for Global Affairs)
- Mark Bromley (SIPRI)

I'm trying to declare independence from my current HOA, I need all the help I can get. Thank you.
One struggle brother !
Levitate the property perhaps.
I mean, talk about tyranny.
"I'd like to purchase 2000 rifles with ammunition, armored vehicles, and oh, just throw in a few cruise missiles you never know. 'Tis the last time they complain about my lawn."
Good luck against this HOA dear Friend. We know the struggles
I hear my door being knocked by some agents in suits
And tanks are easy to get my m4 Sherman was $12000. Getting 75mm shells, or the coaxil machine gun is difficult as hell, very expensive and highly regulated
The second guest is spot on about the Afghan pull out weapons that were left behind by the US. Everyone tried to make a big deal about the gear failing to realize the DoD wastes more than what was left behind in Afghanistan on a Tuesday morning. The stuff was second rate on its way out and a lot of it was in ANA stores that were alreaady hemoraging into the black market. Which is exactly why the Taliban are using Dubai bought hunting NVGs currently becuase the US didn't leave the good stuff.
AR15 for 25k in Australia IS CRAZY! I'm in the wrong business😂
I love your content, would you consider ever doing a highlights reel option for each one? Like cutting up 15 minutes of each podcast to give people with short attention spans the ability to digest more easily?
"in Minecraft"
To qoute warrior poet ice Cube “it’s a good day when you don’t have to use your AK “
Generation kill
It was definitely fun hearing my own name as part of the team :D
What a title. Excited to dig in!

Good podcast, however you underestimate how easy it is to mill out certain items via standard equipment.
Did this guy say that the manufacturers should be charged based on how the tools are used? 14:46
love your work in general but this was special
This is what I was looking for since I invaded this country thanks 🙏
Im 28 minutes in havent heard about machine shops, 3d printers, cncs, good local work or homemade shit 😢😅😢😅😮
Edit ok there it is. This is a actually a really good in depth discussion.
A basic entry level ar15 is less than $300 for a New Frontier Armory or $400 to $500 for a Palmetto stat earmory (PSA is really really high quality)
It’s crazy how just 4-6 years ago if anyone online said “PSA is actually good quality” they’d get jumped on and berated by ARFCOM boomers and gucci-gun owners. They’ve really stepped up their offerings and their QC lately.
1:01:13 this references vanguardism and your capacity for revolution itself. Revolts happen, revolutions are planned. Never in history have the masses been capable of spontaneous self organization. Your flawlessly organized vanguard possessing iron will impresses a counter signaling, non-ruling elite.
Idk, there are important things that happen before you "go get the guns".
Did you accidentally upload the beta version of this? I counted at least three major audio blips. I noticed a couple more minor ones.
Crazy
Why are you worried about tracing an arm to it's manufacturer for litigation against that manufacturer?
is this a trap
