- This is one of the most distinctive promotions Hoyoverse has undertaken for their game. It gained viral attention from various reports revealing that Hoyoverse enlisted several Indonesian artists to create Zenless Zone Zero graffiti. This initiative was launched to celebrate the upcoming release of ZZZ in a few days. The graffiti can be found in 20 different locations across Indonesia. The saddest thing is the government won't even acknowledge artists as those who do art, and can't even distinguish genuine art vs ai, and still look down on designers as they will think 'drawing is not a job', so yeah, they won't support artists, that's a fact.

@@TheAssassainAltair actually it is not count as average anymore, this physical art on busy streets will last longer, alot of eyes will see it, i think this one is a clever way to promote, besides its in line with the game, pop art street by pop-like game, its actually genius, the art represent the game artsyle.

@@kellywilson137 not exactly. At least here in Germany, there are many places where you can legally do graffiti. And on top of that, business owners can hire the artist (as shown in the short) to paint their building

Sometimes there are rogue graffiti artists that would paint anywhere they like such as trains, walls, etc., and it's mostly not even art, it's just their graffiti texts signature. This makes the official graffiti artists look bad to people

Let me add to the narrative and much background
Currently, the creative industry in Indonesia are at bad point especially with the use of AI art.
In the election happening this years, the presidencial candidates used AI art to promote their campaign and they win (unfortunately)
Because of this, alot of big company starts using AI Art and many Indonesian Artist lost their job
In the midst of this, Hoyoverse stand their ground and commission REAL ARTIST to create for them ❤

Yea, I extremely hate those AI images they used in their campaign. They're adults and one of them is already of a considerable age, why the hell are they using those cutesy images!?!?
I really hate it when ai comes to be used for creating generate images, ai generate images feels like violating artists (even though I'm not an artist)
Not only the artist but also the people are happy because someone with a high rank in Indonesia has been marketing themself using AI image and got away with it scot free. Hoyoverse's move to support Indo artist meant a lot for us. 💕

Zenless Zone Zero is also a unique game from what I’ve played. I honestly think it’s the most unique hoyoverse game we’ve got so far

The one at Tamansari Bandung has dedicated wall along the street for such graffiti. Usually they change the graffiti every once in a while. It was usually done by art faculty students from ITB, which is located on Tamansari street.

Graffiti has been a fairly common way to advertise for a while. For example Dying light did a huge mural in Poland where the studio is located.
