Zero/Sync hybrid is my current setup of choice! Sync in the crosses helps to "tame" some of Zero's wilder tendencies. Gives a great blend of power/spin/control. Muted yes, but I find it's response super consistant and predictable allowing me to focus on taking my shots without worrying about randomly flying long.
Got that as well and like it a lot. Although it must be said that I had to get used to it longer than usually. I strung my racquet with this combo at the start of May for the first time and it's still in my racquet. Although I can feel its age by now, it's still playable, results are still good enough. That's talking about almost 3 months, and I do hit hard! Even put some lead in my racquet to hit even harder. I wouldn't consider both of them muted, but I came from a Blade V7 18 20 with Ytex Quadro Twist, so any tiny little bit of feel that makes it through is being noticed.
Would you say this string is more or less crisp than Solinco Outlast? If they are about the same, would you be able to recommend any crisper alternatives?
I've never tried the FX 500 but I think that's a really powerful racket. The Sync is a good choice or even the Zero. It just depends on how healthy your arm is. I would also recommend the thicker gauge.
Head Hawk Power is much more crisp and feels like it provides a bit more power. That could be all in my mind though but I like crisp strings because it gives me the illusion of more power and thus increases my confidence. The Sync is more muted but still firm enough to provide good control. I think the Sync snaps back a bit better.
Honestly, if you have the budget for it, Babolat VS mains and Luxilon ALU Power Feel crosses is the best serve and volley setup I've ever tried. Besides that, I like anything crisp like Tour Bite, Lynx Tour, or Big Hitter Silver
I have heard different people say that Sync is stiffer than Zero, Sync is softer than Zero, and Sync and Zero are about the same in stiffness, lol. I hope someone will actually measure them someday, and give some objective assessment.
I think you should just try it and see which one is stiffer by playing with it. Luxilon 4G has a high stiffness rating but when I played with it, it's actually fairly comfortable
@@opencourt808 Actually, that is what I'm planning to do myself. My comment was not a knock on your credibility, by the way. I just stated that people don't seem to have a consensus on this string's stiffness compared to zero, that's all.

Yes, please make video of hybrid with Zero in mains and Sync in cross!

Fab review and analysis. Much appreciated
Thx for the honest review! I like crisper feeling strings like Lynx tour. Plus I need help with bite since my kick serve is my biggest weapon
Please compare this with the other slick round poly Toroline Enso Pro
would you hybrid sync with natural gut? if it plays similar like alu should be good with gut right?
Would you say this string is more or less crisp than Solinco Outlast? If they are about the same, would you be able to recommend any crisper alternatives?
Outlast is a bit crisper. But Tour bite is the crispest in solinco's lineup
Hey, how would you compare restring sync with isospeed cream as a cross string?
Isospeed cream is way softer and springier
How do you compare Sync to Big Hitter Silver? Thanks,
Big Hitter Silver is much more crisp and lively. Both are about the same stiffness but Sync is more muted
Hi, what strings do you recommend for a dunlop fx500 v2 if i constantly overhit? Is restring sync a good choice? Thanks

Hey Kent, how would u compare sync to head hawk power?

lol “I recommend this string to a pusher…”
I thought Sync was one of the most underpowered strings I've ever used. I also found it pretty stiff compared to many.
