Hiya duck today I’m going to be playing with cat eyes and magnets and some other bits and bobs! Keep watching.
I'll be working on Aleana today I have a tip all ready to go and I’m going to start all of these on a black base I have a collection of bits from the toolbox that I’m gonna see if they do anything cool
    Nail 1
I'll start this one with a full cover coat of hellfire over the Black and then I'll take my magnet and rotate that at the cuticle to create an ombre I'll get that in the lamp and then seal in the design with topcoat.
    Nail 2
For this Nail I'll use Terra I'll give the nail a full cover of that and then I'll arrange my magnets in a stacked position and hover and rotate that over the nail to create this beautiful pattern I'll cure that and then seal that in with top coat.
    Nail 3
For my third nail, I'll give a coat of Kayda then attach an eyelet hook to my mangets and ill use that to create rings in the design I'll cure that answer then I'll paint in some circles and move the particles on those as well and then I can cure the design and seal that in with the topcoat.
    Nail 4
For this design I'll start with a full cover of The Star and I'll use my magnet on its own and twist to create this background design I'll cure that, and then I can paint in a dragon eye using hellfire and void, cure that and then seal with topcoat
    Nail 5
For my final nail ill use a full cover of the Hellfire and then ill attach a screw to my magnet and use the broad end to create circles in the design then ill give that a cure and again fill in those spaces with some circles and then cure this and then I can seal this nail in with the top coat.
That’s it! I hope you enjoyed the video and I'll see you in the next one T’Rah Duck
    Lots a Love KM xoxo

After I get a new magnet for my cat eye gel polishes, I play around with it to find out which sides push and pull and immediately mark on them with a sharpie. So that way I know which way to use them in the future.

In my experience, because the cat eye effect is caused by metal particles in the polish, they can settle in the bottle and you sometimes have to mix the polish before use. If they’ve sat on the shelf before purchase, or you use them infrequently, the particles can settle 😮

    • @hrtdinasaurette3020
      @hrtdinasaurette3020 5 місяців тому

Can you use the magnet to help re-distribute the metal particles inside the bottle ?

    • @hylidaecustom
      @hylidaecustom 4 місяці тому

@@hrtdinasaurette3020 I don’t think that would work very well to be honest. I’ve always found it works best to either shake the bottle, roll it before week your hands, or use the spatula end of my polygel application brush to stir it. I’ve seen some Nail Artists who have made a stirring bit for their efiles and have the efile on very low rpm. You might even find an efile manufacturer that has a stirring bit, it’s worth a search I think ☺️

It's called an eye Hook , the reason the gold nails & other objects didn't work is because they aren't full metal they have copper and bronze alloys in them that don't naturally react w/ the magnet

I think bethany meant to say: not every metal is magnetic
Only 4 elements are magnetic ( iron, nickel, cobalt are the common ones) and depending on what they react with, which alloy or compound you have of them, they may lose their magnetism.

OMG I saw a fireworks nail art similar to the one you did for New Year's but they used the cat eye gel. When the nails moved it look like the fireworks were exploding. It was amazing. I'd love to see you recreate it because it wasn't a tutorial that I saw, it was just a reel. I fell in love then had my heart broke, I wanted to see it done so much.

I'm obsessed with these lately. I like to paint, create design with magnet, cure. Then paint a second coat, do design again (same nail), cure. It tends to show up more for me. ❤

If you try using a Bobby pin it will make the top half of the heart shape on the side of a nail. Just connect the pin to a magnet and set the open side to the mail and it makes the top part of the heart 💜

True about glass. My mom’s relatives lived in a house built in 1850 and the glass windows were a bit thicker at the bottom, that was a neat thing for them to teach me about “solids”.

I know you have some Enailcouture products behind you, so if you have any of the Space Galaxy Kitty's, you need to use them! They are the best magnetic gels I've ever used, and all the shades are beautiful! My favorite was the eye you did! I see so many people using magnetic gels, and they don't prime them first. They just throw the magnet on it, but if you bring everything to the surface first it looks so much more vibrant! My first set of nails I did on myself were Halloween nails and I used a magnetic polish and fell in lovecwith them! I now own all of Max's original Precious Minerals magnetic gels and most of the Galaxy Kitty's, they are just so beautiful and can make a nail look all on their own!

He's right you know. Glass, though solid, can still move. I don't know that this applies to all glass, but it certainly applies to stained glass, specifically that which was used in old churches. If you look at the pieces of VERY old works, the glass will be thicker at the bottoms of each piece.

Even if something didnt work, the video was still very entertaining and educational. I have seen cool effects done with 2 magnets at the same time (one at cuticle, other at free edge). Also, maybe different shapes of magnets themselves could do cool effects?

It's called an eye screw. An eye hook is open on one side and looks- you guessed it- like a hook. Sometimes they're called cup hooks because people used to screw them to the tops of their cupboards and hang teacups from them. You can use eye screws for lots of things, especially with S hooks (you guessed it- they look like the letter S ) :D Love the video!

Screw Eye. Used to use them with the wire for hanging net curtains. You use smaller versions of that large hook you had. The hook screws into the wire. You put the screw eye into the wall/window frame. Hook the wire on one side, pull like buggery and hook the other end of the wire into the other eye.

With magnets, there is a positive side and a negative side. When 2 positives or 2 negatives connect, they pull away from one another. When a positive and a negative are together, they connect. So if there is a negative and a positive with a nutruel item it won't do anything.

With two magnets you're creating a neutral (nil) energy as you're combining a positive and negative force. It's unlike a car battery (for egsample) where you need a positive and negative terminal to create a spark, which those two terminals don't touch each other.

The manetic poles of a magnet are called north and south, when the magnets were directly on top of each other, the fields were cancelling each other out, it was really cool to see it happen! Really hard to predict what will happen, because we can’t see the magnetic field lines. So it’s like a lucky dip! Your desire to investigate and try something new is so creative and inspiring, as always 👌🏼

Its the shape of the magnetic field. In 3D a magnet creates an energetic Toroid, the N and S poles of the magnet are the dipoles, the body of the magnet is the center of the toroid, the lines of magnetism create the energetic toroid. You can find images of Toroids all over ua-cam.com/video/kgZoRDix06E/v-deo.html has a pretty neat visualization. Oh and yes, silica glass is a liquid, a very viscous liquid.

I really wanted to get your black nail gel, but I live in the US. Is there anywhere I can get it here?

You can order it from us and we ship to the US, I would suggest ordering in bulk though as it's expensive to ship just one gel polish

i too was disappointed by the nailchemy cat eye gels. A couple of them were amazing but a good chunk of them were just meh. Which for the price i wasn't expecting :/

J'adorais ta chaîne avec urban grafitti, mais je dois reconnaître que les vidéos sont moins bonnes et moins travaillées, même si je me suis abonnée! Tu as tellement de talent, please fais-nous des super vidéos

20+ strokes to paint a nail is pathetic. I thought I was going to see a professional nail tech. Waste of time.

maybe do your tests before you start filming? then you could instead have a consolidated, short, straight to the point video with your fun discoveries etc.
cause i have absolutely no interest in wasting my very limited time watching you test stuff out with little to no intriguing results.

Is it just me, or is Adam being particularly annoying in this video. I don’t mind when he’s asking questions about what she’s doing or expanding on what Kirsty is saying, but his tangents are excruciating. But I don’t want to fast forward in case I miss something that actually pertains to the video topic. I’m here for Kirsty and to learn about nails, not to hear Adam.

Adam is a fixture. To me, I enjoy the two of them together. When I first started watching on the other channel, I was watching for Kristy, but now the two of them are the staples. I enjoy both of them.

Yeah, have to agree with the other commenters. This channel is great because of the team of Kirsty and Adam together. And for Adam - please don't ever stop with your "useless knowledge" or any of your side commentary! I love it!

I think you have to rub the part that you’re hovering over the polish with the magnet 🧲 first to make that part magnetic then hover it over the polish
