Like Odion being "bland" as some people have said on this thread because he's a chameleon and changes how he acts to please other people and not cause trouble. Or Marik and Odion being super protective of Ishizu and having at least one "If you do anything to hurt her" convo with anyone Ishizu dates. Or Marik never using the door like a normal person and instead breaking into his friends' houses through the window (the usual victim is Bakura). Or Marik holding writing utensils weird because his father bashed his hand with a stick during some argument, breaking one of the knuckles, and letting it heal misaligned. Or one time Odion threw a Rare Hunter off the yacht and into the ocean because they harassed Marik. Or Marik having a really cavalier attitude about committing theft and murder and Ishizu has to remind him not everyone will take it in stride if he jokes about killing people in public. Or Marik having a MASSIVE knife collection and at least five blades on his person at any given time. I could keep going.

I normally harsh on comment sections that just obsess over a female character's looks because it only leads to juvenile arguments and the neglect of any other aspects the character may have had. I don't know if it's being a blue eyed Egyptian or just the Egyptian motif in general, but Yugioh has some of the prettiest people of both genders, even for anime, and Ishizu is STILL the most attractively drawn.
I mean she know she need to fight Kaiba and basically fight Obelisk and 3 Blue Eyes, at that era if you don't have a well constructed deck, you stand no chance against 3 Blue Eyes and Obelisk.

Ishizu should have been able to still activate it on Blue Eyes. and won the duel anyways. The plot armor is insane in this series
Blast Held by a Tribute doesn't work like that card effects in anime or manga can be different from the TCG (and manga/anime predates it, so TCG is an adaptation), don't bash something for being different to TCG. Blast Held by a Tribute only worked on the monster Tributed using the card selected by Blast Held by a Tribute when it was set, not to any next monster Tributed.
Between mai ishizu and serenity and that chun lee ripoff character whose suppose to be Chinese or some other form of Asian besides Japanese you can tell the creator of yugioh really digged girls from other countries and not drawing Japanese girls that he sees every day with the same black long bangs long hair small body ...heck even tea looks more American than Asian ...and the short hair makes her look sorta lesbian ...
