So pico finally noticed that not everyone have 💰 for a WPS. So they noticed that a lot of guys are finding other ways to get it done with a more reasonable methods. Now, they want in. Thanks for sharing D
Great video A scope is a must have in my opinion Techs think they take to much time but they are wrong. If you have scope ready at all times it's quick and easy answer to issue you're dealing with.
That BNC+ is nice, not having to have a separate power supply for powering the transducer. I was hoping they would come out with a new transducer, since the amp clamps don't have to have the 9v batteries in them anymore. I wish they had higher pressure ranges, for diesel applications, hopefully in the near future. Thanks, Darren.
It looks like a nice addition but I was again wondering today about how much more I have to invest. That being said I probably will order and " forget " what I was thinking about earlier today.
I saw on the aeswave website along with this description : "This transducer is not a replacement for the WPS500. It outputs a waveform in Hectopascals (k hPa) instead of PSI. It has 3 ranges: -1 to 1.5khPa, -1 to 4khPa, and -1 to 13.5khPa. It can display an acceptable idle in-cylinder waveform but lacks the range for many cranking or snap throttle tests. The default values are also not suitable for low pressure waveforms like intke, exhaust, or crankcase pressures"
Très bon outil à un prix abordable. Une bonne addition aux accessoires de mesure de pression pour PicoScope. Disponible en France chez Autotechnique France.
WPS500 has a higher and lower accurate measurement range, and is more sensitive in the low range. It’s more versatile. This has BNC+ which the WPS doesn’t.
im a little confused Darren, so as I have a 4425 am I not able to use this sensor ? I really like the WPS but the kit is so expensive ... by the way thanks for the great videos @@MechanicMindset
Hi - what a great channel you have. I wonder if you are too busy to answer a question? What is the main difference between the Pico 2240A and 2250A and does it matter for automotive use (eg injector analysis etc). What part of the country are you based in? Mike
Hi Mike, thanks! We’re in Warwickshire UK. Main difference is maximum sample rate and memory. To be honest, I’m not sure we’d notice much difference. 2405A worth a go; 4 channels 👍
Appreciate your reply - I know you busy. If you had been a bit closer, we could have considered doing a video together - I don't think I have seen any one using a Picoscope to diagnose a classic Merc. It would introduce a whole new set of people to your skill set. Mike@@MechanicMindset

@@MechanicMindset Well the WPS is not in the range of 3,000 psi only 500 psi. I love picoscope products, it will be lovely if they make a WPS for GDI measurement.👍👍👍
@@bellybell542 Doh, of course. Not sure what I was thinking 🤪 35 bar max. GDI up to 200 bar on the latest. Have you tried diagnostics using the pressure sensor already in the rail? You can get some good results 👍

Finally because I didn’t want to buy some sketch sensor that might not have warranty coverage someday or just randomly fall apart and not covered.
Thank you so much for this review Darren!

For sure, having it ready is key to mastering the tool 👍
Brilliant content as always Darren 👌 ❤

I liked your videos I hope you upload more soon.
Thanks we have more lined up on the way. We have been very busy recording courses at MechanicMindset.com you should check it out; we have an app now!

What was the brand of that hose you plugged into @ 1:27? "dietax" ?
Haha just found it! Ditex.

Hello! I am a beginner I would like to know which oscilloscope to choose between OWON hds2102s and Hantek 2D82 kit 2 for car diagnostics. THANKS
So what is the difference between the wps and this ? I know the wps has the option to order fittings with it etc. is that what you’re paying for?

How do guys with a pico4425 make use of this sensor without the bnc+ connection? Thanks
Hi, it’s still a normal BNC, ‘plus’ some extra contacts. So you can use both 👍
@@MechanicMindsetdon't you need to power this sensor from the BNC+ contacts?
@@yannai0h Yes, this sensor is only for BNC+

Hi master how makes by picoscope to finding cut wires in a car
Do they have a non bnc+ model of this? Just a regular bnc model?
No, will have to go for WPS500. but there are other options like that from Ditex and Rotkee; I have some videos too
Hey buddy I just made a pulse sensor from your idea. But not sure about patterns I got could you please look at it and give me your opinion. Thanks

Can this be used with the pico 2000 series?
No it’s BNC+ only. Check out the Ditex and Rotkee pressure sensor videos I did 👍
hello , thanks for video
Good one !
Nice one!
The Rotkee sensor does the same job for a fifth of the price
nice video. ordering now!
Cheers! Hope you like it 👍

You can use the probes that are already there for the 60amp and 600amp PicoScope clamps; same conversion 👍

WPS should do it right? You’ll just need the adapters. What do you think?
