Your playing has improved alot over the last year dude. Your hard work is showing. Congrats dude.
Thanks a ton!
As far as a gnarly deathcore ish tone goes, the craziest one I’ve heard is my buddy’s Tosin Abasi Fishman loaded 8 string Legator going through the Fortin Cali Suite plug in. That was an insane tone.
Your clean guitar sound is fantastic man
archetype plini and tim henson were always my picks for clean tones; the versatility there is incredibly deep imho
The first one to play limelight on a modern rock/metal plugin. You playing rellay improved over the last months. Hope you stay true to yourself and remain the nice funny person you are. Thats something special out in the youtube world.
duuuuuudddeee! that thump and finger style sounded really awesome! I've been trying to figure that out for a little bit but from my perspective it sounded killer when you did it 😎
He's a wizard
Man, your thumping technique is INSANE.
Nice, it's cool to see Neural showing some love to some the previous plugins. Hoping they do the same to that insane Gojira pluging.
Hopefully we will see that today!
@@sebastianviuf Haha they just did, I got an article recommended to me. Looks sick
I'll probably grab Plini next big sale. Dimension C chorus is the only modulation I really like and the Spatial setting on the Chorus in Plini seems to be that. If I had already owned a QC, I'd be pretty annoyed that I still can't use the plugins on it despite that being one of the main selling points from the beginning. Personally, I won't buy a QC until I can use my plugins on it. Mainly because then we should be able to mix and match different parts of plugins to create our "perfect" archtype.
Killed it with FTFD in Clifton!
THANKS MAN!
I'm just happy they're moving toward what they promised finally, and getting new stuff for free is always nice.
Free? Didn't you pay for it the first time ? 😅
@@Fishplants a free update, that gives additional stuff if you already own something.
That intro was awesome!! 👍🏻
look at this photograph🗣️🗣️🗣️
It’s so good.
Ho'd up, Ho'd up, that LP tone was sick as FUCK!
it was wasn't it?!
shit I didn't expect that but THAT riff at 0:44 is so crazy
We keep running into the same problem with these plugins. If this is your first Neural plugin, it’ll probably blow your mind. If it’s your 10th, not so much. I don’t hate Neural, but there’s literally nowhere else to go but in the Quad Cortex lol.
Yo what on earth were you playing at 10:53. That is majestic af
Nolly basically has all the Plini stuff with better high gain tones and way more versatility IMO.
GhostFret 👀
What is the inline mic filter you're using ? (Red)
I gotta know: are you making adjustments to the plugin or using stock presets as they are?
In my personal experience, it seems that all of neural’s plugins tend to have way too much bass in them out the gate.
I always turn the bass on these. Yeah I agree. Too much squish. Multi band compressor is a must in the mix as well
Yeah totally, exactly my experience as well. Every Neural DSP plugin absolutely requires you to really tame the low end mud a LOT and there's no way of getting around that multiband comp either.
@@honigdachs. it’s a shame because I really do think they’ve got a product line that nobody else comes close to. They could really capture the market
Definitely a lot of hype. Their products sound good but they're hyped to be leagues above everything else, which in my experience with the QC / FM9 / HX Stomp just isn't true.
the tones you pulled out of this sounded absolutely great, how is the latency when play?
Fab - tracking through a Focusrite into Cubase happily run at 4-6ms (intel i7)
great playing! i’m trying to choose a plugin on a budget at the moment, and i’m stuck between this and the gojira. I’m working on music that has a decent focus on synths and electronic production but i really want crunched and nice high gain guitar. I really like the brightness of the gojira’s high gain amp but i also really enjoy the cleans of the plini. Which would you recommend?
which did you go with?
@@John-vw4vg i went with the gojira ultimately, it honestly fits the aesthetic i was going for, the clean amp is what i mostly use and i think it can sound really good as a gentle clean all the way to nice break up tones without adding the OD or DRT pedals. I also just really enjoy using the OD and DRT pedals on the clean amp. I think i may like the Plini chorus more just because it feels less “messy” than the Gorjira does but both plugins are great.
If you happen to have already used a plug-in’s trial, you can email NeuralDSP and just say that you would like to have one renewed so that you can try it out again since there’s a sail.going on currently.
@@John-vw4vg i ultimately went with the gojira personally. I think both are great, but i think the biggest difference for me was that the Gojira plugin is dirty and gritty, and it’s cleans can be gentle but there’s still a grungy feel to it, while the Plini feels way more serene comparatively.
@@cadencebirdsong thank you, great analysis!
I think clarivoyant is better and it's half the price lol I love amphub too I can't justify the $ even the gojira plug in is meh for all that $$ just my opinion.
Killer riffs tho dude as always
I'm weird.. the one i would trade in would be the petrucci. i have a handful and its the one i never touch
Song at 5,42?
Would love to hear you play the PolychromeDSP- Mcrocklin Suite plugin bro!!! It has the best latency and feel in the game!!
Haha! I was just watching F13 and stopped to see some YT.
Which one?!
@@xanderraymondcharlesThe remake. I had not seen it since it came out so I thought I would give it a go. It’s okay.
@@6o66y it's better than people give It credit for. Lot's of people really dislike it, but I think it's great. I know some people who have the remake as the best in the series!
0:30 Archetype: Nickelback confirmed?
Are all the dsp plugins updated?
nope not yet
I'm really leaning towards the neural dsp quad, but my trip rec still out beasts it...just saying.
I havent really used the Neural stuff anymore. I am now pretty much exclusively using the Amped Fluff Plugin. Its just much tighter than everything Neural ever made imo. And tightness is my number one priority as a Prog/Thrash kind of player. The only thing thats missing from that plugin is MIDI switching of presets.
Not sure if you're referring to Fluff 2C or Roots, but both of these have MIDI preset switching using PC messages - PC0-PC9 are the first ten presets of the first channel, PC10-19 are the 10 presets on the second channel and so on
@@KaiDown I mean Fluff 2C by ML Soundlabs. Not sure what you mean by that. I am not very good with that stuff yet. If I click on the Midi Tab I can only set CC Numbers and Channels and only to certain parameters like turning pedals on and off, changing settings on the pedals/amps, change mic placement etc. But I want to be able to go between for example a clean and a dirty preset that I have saved. The list of Midi changes doesnt say any of that.
@@KaiDown and I can't even set up the Midi changes in the list in the Midi tab. My Keyboard won't talk to the plugin. I have it all set up according to the manual of the keyboard. it's weird. In the Neural DSP plugins it works a lot more intuitively. But as I said I far prefer the Sound of Fluff 2C. Maybe it's the keyboard that's the problem. Its a Nektar Impact LX25+
I guess they'd been mad at the shop for putting away Elvis guitar, the Division Bell give away and still not being happy with the Frankenstrat, it's the #1 electric guitar tool, I don't need it, I wanna go hard level on a Dean piece of crap, made in Indonesia, too. Namastè.
but the ui of the old version plini is much better honestly
Dude plini rips.
