Great review! It’s getting harder and harder to justify the cost of a Boutique boards. Coming from an Evolve GTX to Zealot S I have settled I want range with AT wheel comfort for next board so I am forced into the boutique boards. LaCroix Lonestar? I ride street wheels exclusively for range. Still need to try the cloud 105s I got in your giveaway. Maybe that will change my opinion on thinking I need AT wheels, especially if the range is there around 35+miles with avg speed of 20mph. I might be able to go on those longer group rides, at least once they create a fast charger
i hear ya. iv demo’d lacroix and had a flux and a kaly. those are very big machines. no longer longboards.. 2 in 1 boards have always been my favorite 🤙🏼🤙🏼 and thank you 🙏🏼
Can't wait to get mine! Is the brakes something that the manufacturer can fix with firmware update? I am not real familiar with that part. Thanks for the review!! Some hill tests and just ride footage without music to hear the board would be awesome.
Once I actually learn how to ride my wowgo at2 I really want the Zeus. Set my goal at once I can actually use the turbo mode on the at2 then I will be ready for the Zeus.
Hey man not sure where to ask this and I couldn't find a video that explicitly talks about it, but in what order are you supposed to put the wheels on? Say starting from the axle. Is it spacer, washer, bearing/wheel, washer, nut?
I loved the Zeus initially and I still do. However, the 6” pneumatics I got wobble and vibrate the board badly so I had to use the cloud wheels. Then the battery started acting up. I used to get 10-13 miles out of the first bar on cloud wheels now I get less than 4 miles. I used to get 30-40 miles on a charge on cloud wheels. Now I only get 14 miles before the remote vibrates and about 17ish total Miles. Anyone else having these problems?
So what would you recommend for a 2 in 1 board for a beginner preferably made in the US or with support in the US. I dont think I'd need a ton of torque off the line. Probably better without it, and I don't think I need a ton of top speed right now either
my newest video… b-one balrog.. super comfortable meanwhile maintanes great stability.. u can utilize street wheels on there withouth losing traction like dkp trucks do.. it’s comfortable.. its not crazy fast or torquey… very affordable too.. dm me on IG if u got anymore questions
Thanks for the review Fred! 100% agree with you re boutique boards vs 2 in 1. I used to have a Lacroix Lonestar and as much as I respect what it could do, it felt like a boat to ride and was very cumbersome to transport. I found myself going back to a smaller, more agile and more versatile 2 in 1. My next board will either be the Zeus or the Hadean. I’m more about acceleration than top speed so leaning towards the Hadean. If money were no object, which would you choose?
agreed! no more kaly or flux for me. as for the hadean, the hadean is a BEAST. it blows most boards off the line. it beat kalys off the line, some unicycles, some surrons, and any off shelf board we can find. also, the bamboo hadean is the only board with a flex deck with a 12s4p. and yes i agree, power/acceleration is more important than top speed. 31mph is PLENTY.. my bamboo hadean should be here this month ✌🏼👌🏼🤙🏼
@@tubbehht9236 in Australia it’s not as overpriced. About $2400AUD for the Zeus vs $3000-$3600AUD for the Hadean which includes 12 month warranty and full local support.
@@esk8unity i've never been on one, maybe they are something special, maybe they aren't idk. They seem like a scummy company tho and really they are just building chinese boards such as Ownboard, Meepo, Backfire and so on but charging at least 1k more than their competitors for similar specs.
I really don't know if I should get this or the hurricane. So many pros and cons to both. Wish there were more reviews. This would be $25 cheaper and come with two sets of wheels. If I order soon I also get free shredlights.
i agree with ben. cant go wrong. im thinkn ab posting on Ig IFF i get to 1000 subs by the end of the month, ill get the meepo and don a 3 way VS with zeus, vs hurrican vs Hadean 🔥. what u guys think??
@@esk8unity You have to make sure to purchase the boards with pnumatics like the Hurricane or at least swap the Hurricane wheels onto the other boards before testing. Or maybe put streets on the meepo? But that's not a Hurricane anymore. Just a heads up bud, exciting things to come

Is ownboard a good company? I'm coming from an exway x1. Im so close to ordering one of these but I'm not reading particularly positive things on the company in terms of customer support/quality of parts/product longevity.. trusted reviews have them down as an average of 1.8 out of 5 stars 😬 Anyone got any experience with ownboard?
so i had two friends with ownboard bamboo AT.. they had there issues, but any good company will listen to there customers and actually improve. no matter how hard and how much it costs. and i think ownboard TRULY did that.
Hey Fred appreciate the helpful review. What’s the actual weight of the board? I doubt it’s lighter than let’s say the zealot but is it noticeably lighter than the onsra bc2? Thanks!
your welcome 🤙🏼🤙🏼. yea definitely not as light as the zealot. thats a much smaller setup. its not noticeably lighter than the bc2 because its a bigger batter, motors and wheels. but the carbon helps off set that.. its comperable in weight with the bc2.
Okay, and one more question for max speed 1. Smaller pully small wheel equals more speed? 2. Smaller pully big wheel equals more speed? 1 or 2 for more speed And this is for a street wheel
@@Flaminghawk small pully = more top speed, but less torque bigger wheel means top speed, but less torque larger pully means more torque but less top speed smaller wheel means more torque but less top speed. so with this board, happy medium works. like a 40T with 100-120mm wheel. but all the newer, more higher performance 2 in 1 boards, i use small pullies on all my street wheels
@ESK8UNITY okay thankyou!! I recently just got the 2 in 1 zeus pro its my very first E skateboard, and I just wanna know all the things I need to made the board go super fast and also mess around with it with the off road whewls. And one last thing. What does T mean like 35T or 45T, I watched countless people say that term like 45T is best for top speed or the smaller the number, the better
Just ordered the Zeus and I can't wait for it to come in. I currently have a Wowgo AT2 so I'm looking forward to seeing how the two compare. By the way, have you tried Meepo's rubber Cyclone wheels? I got some for my AT2 and they are amazing. Definitely gonna try them out on the Zeus.
ur gonna love it! check my newer ownboard video with the abec 111.. yes i have the new meepo cyclone wheels for about two months now and was gonna do a video on them, but my meepo is down and the weather here in new jersey isnt nice at all.. enjoy the zeus!
@@esk8unity I just watched your video on the Zeus with the abec 11 wheels and it was really interesting and informative! Keep it up, I subscribed. By the way, you mentioned that you have 93a Riptide krank barrels in the rear with a 90a krank barrel up front. I noticed the roadside barrel on each truck were a different color, so I was wondering, are those the same durometer? I weigh pretty close to what you mentioned in the video so I want to order the same ones! Also, what height are the barrels and what type of cone bushing did you get for the front truck? Thank you!
@@qwoper3189 so i dont change the cones. in fact, im pretty sure the zeus doesn’t use cones.. only the the krank barrells .. jus order a few different durometers from riptide. not a kit.. everyone has different preferences.. there only 9 bucks a pair so id get 3 different durometers and play around wit em. see which ones u like best . thanks brotha!
@@esk8unity Appreciate it! Do you know what height the barrels are? .5", .6", or .75"? Also, I forgot to mention, since you said you live in New Jersey and the weathers bad so you haven't been able to ride much, have you thought of studding a set of wheels? I've never tried it personally since I live in Texas, but I saw some posts about it on the electric skateboarding subreddit and it looks like it works pretty well! In one video a guy was literally riding on straight ice and it looked like he had a lot more traction than you'd expect!
@@esk8unity Wanted to follow up on Qwoper’s question of the height of those KranK barrels you uses for this board! Are these the regular KranKs, or TALL KranKs?
for suree.. but keep in mind, when u tune ur own board like that. u can void warranty. also, u will sacrifice elsewhere. u turn up the power, you’ll lose range. that kinda thing
@@bartekkawalkowski2760 honestly? the stock setup is great. i literally have all wheel size pullies, kegals, abec styles, and all matching belts. i also have a entire shelf full of wheels. so far, the 44t clouds on this is the best setup. but im still testing other pullies and wheels on it.. great board. 👌🏼

Great video. Nice constructive feedback 👌. And see that those motors are pretty low?! Thought so! So it's true? Use SBR rubber and fix it to the belt guards with glue. You barely see it any it's super easy to do and protects the motors when holding the board up 👌. Great job buddy 👌🤙
Great review man! So many promising boards coming out. Have you heard or have had a chance to try out the Miles Sex Panther? Wanted to see if you had thoughts on it?

Hey there, great stuff ✌, got one on the way after your review, question on the wheels...would ABEC 11 Superfly 107mm fit on the original 44T pulleys? Just a thought for the future gear 🙆♂️✌ And also do you think that with a 14T motor pulley on the 97mm street wheels would it have about the same torque levels as the hurricane with the 90mm, as I don't care so much about top speed...👍
yes that will fit. i jus put 107s on the zeus actually… and no; the zeus is 15t motor pully… i doubt any smaller wheels with 45T still will have the power of the hurricane and hadean .. close tho.. still a greaaaat board tho
@@esk8unity Awsome, that's great to hear...have no doubt about it is a great board,...can't wait till it arrives, doing laps on the Wowgo 3X for now, still going strong after 500miles or so...looking forward to your thoughts on the 107mm's. So yeah I know the Hurricane is a power package and nothing commercialy touches it so far. So again about the pulley, yes I know the Zeus has a 15T, was thinking on replacing it with a 14T so in combo with the 44T it would probably have a little more punch to it...definitely not Meepo territory but closer ✌😀 what do you think would it be worth it?
@@aleszverca ahhh gotcha.. i mean it would definitely be a cool little upgrade.. thsts why i love these type of boards so much. so much easy customizations
@@esk8unity Hey it's me again ✌ greetings from overseas...finally got my Zeus 😃 But I am a little disappointed must say, even think it could be faulty somehow(ESC?) Don't have much experience, only a season with a Wowgo 3X belt drive(2x600W) and think the 3X had a way more punchy ride feel than the Zeus. How do you feel about the speed mode 1 and 2 on the Zeus are they useable for every day riding, my Zeus feels really weak in both modes. Speed mode 1(18,4 seconds to reach 22kmh or 13,5 mph) is so gentle I could without hesitation give it to child that is able to use it to try it out. Speed mode 2 is just a little faster, not to much, feels also pretty weak(8,4 seconds to reach 22 kmh or 13,5 mph). Only speed mode 3 has some real punch, but not from standstill, it needs to get moving and then it kicks in. On the Wowgo 3X this torque kick was instantaneous, on the Zeus the torque feel is completely gone in speed mode 1 and 2, on mode 3 it's better but when the board is moving. In speed mode 1 and 2 full throttling it with me on it I can't get it to drive over an edge of a rug, carpet, after 5 seconds the remote just signals "Motor Stalling" . 😬 With the brakes I feel like a passenger, no useable control of the braking strength with the remote, just an On/Off feeling and for esk8 speeds kinda dangerously slow deceleration. Don't know if that's the case with all or it's connected with my issue. I know that the Wowgo 3X would/did throw me off if not being careful with the brakes. Also it did save me a few times, where I don't see how the Zeus could save me with it's brakes 😬. I kinda suspect a faulty ESC, don't have enough experience...what do you think. How does your Zeus ride in mode 1 and 2, can you climb a slight incline in mode 1 or 2? I would like to hear some opinions before I turn to Ownboard with the issue. Thanks, Best regards 👍
“better” is subjective.. if u hate dkp, most likely u feel like there not stable.. which means u have to practice IF u wanna utilize agility while riding and to get up to fast speeds.. nothint wrong with practicing 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Okay, im a long time fellow rider. But you are the reason Esk8 gets banned around the world. Never ride on a store front like that man. If a small child ran out of the automatic doors and you ran into them, how would you explain yourself to the parents? You have the whole world to shred. Gotta use your use head and go exploring. Please take what i say as advise... Also id like to see more from the Zeus, but focus less on carving. People want to see what the board is capable of and your trying to dance in the middle of a review. I recommend leaving the school zone and stripmalls bro. Its in every video.
i appreciate the input, but anywhere i go, theres a chance of a child coming out. u also cant see it from the side view, but there is a LOT of distance from where i am, to the doors of the stores. plenty of time to react… if i ride in new york city with all the euc/kaly/onyx riders, they blast in between cars, pediatricians, red lights, wrong way bike lanes, sidewalks with pedestrians, and many more worse things. so there will alwaysssss be risk. if i leave the school area, then guys like u will get mad at me for riding elsewhere with everything i just said. its local and convenient for me because its open, smooth, has parks, and residential areas with also some rraaaeel crappy roads to test the boards there… so u wanna see how the board behaves but no carving and no dancing anymore…..?? hmm.. so straight line behavior of the board…. thats what u wanna see? lol common… lastly, its a 13 minute video and i did a whopping TWO dance moves which took no more than 8 seconds of the video. carving, riding on bad roads, dancing, transitioning, terrain testing, speed testing tons of wheel selections, brake testing was all in this video which shows how the board behaves.. i think the only behavior im missing is hill climbing. so the capabilities u are talking about have been shown in the video…. yet you say im “dancing in the middle of the review” … so im happy to get constructive criticism, and i alwaysss wanna improve, but this sounds more like hate, and not advice..but u can show me how its done with some content of your own if u are being truthful. have a good day 🤙🏼🤙🏼
i never said it was new. i said its finally getting its recognition it deserves…. kaly isnt that poweful. i had one. also, the hadean smoked it off the line. this with real wheels is just as powerful as a kaly… top speed is PLENTY. i rarely see botique riders going over 35mph and IFFF they are, its not a long period of time at alllll.. theres like 2 lacroix youtubers that do 40+mph and giant straight aways and all there doing is yanking the throttle and riding in a straight line. i cant speak for others, but to me, thats not skating ..as for trampa, i have no experience with trampa. but from my understanding, there more off road style boards. so this isnt the same thing obviously
Hey, I don't think I would promote a cloud wheel to your subscribers. I rode a friends board with clouds on a wet day, i performed normal maneuvers and had a bad accident. They are not suited for an experienced rider. Also, we both know this board wouldnt keep up with my Nazare Supersport and its not even close to a $6k It may be quick, but you cant make false claims to people who have no idea what the difference is between a $1600 board and a $3600 board. I don't know where you pulled 6k from.
i clearly stated i wasnt a fan of cloudwheels, but they r growing on me. it works with this setup…so i never “promoted” it.. its a simple review.. if you are an experienced rider, u should know cloudwheels arent meant for wet surfaces.. there still PU wheels and with a very small contact patch.. lastly, i keep up with lacroixs all day long with even less top speed boards then my zeus.. ppl act like your gonna constantly ride above 35-40 mph with these big boards, and u dont.. if u do, its for a VERY short period of time. i have yet to see a botique board go over 37mph in a actual group ride in the city. they also arent as agile so sometimes there even worse in the city. (depends on the rider) . so nothing i said was a false claim. i had a kaly, flux, and my best friend has a supersport.. not impressed.

With a battery that big, no way you should only get 17 miles.
yeah you need to warranty out the battery that sounds like the battery is going bad. I would reach out ASAP since the warranty isn't super long.
Kevin Greg
..do u leave ur board on the charger long after its charged?
Excellent review
how is carving compare to double kingpin truck?
Is it waterproof?
So what would you recommend for a 2 in 1 board for a beginner preferably made in the US or with support in the US. I dont think I'd need a ton of torque off the line. Probably better without it, and I don't think I need a ton of top speed right now either
my newest video… b-one balrog.. super comfortable meanwhile maintanes great stability.. u can utilize street wheels on there withouth losing traction like dkp trucks do.. it’s comfortable.. its not crazy fast or torquey… very affordable too.. dm me on IG if u got anymore questions
@@esk8unity ok thanks
Pronounced 'On"board or 'Own'board??
Nice video and interesting board. Can you compare the turning circle of this board to a double kingpin?
i actually did do that and didnt add it lol. if u wanna hit me
up on IG, i can show ya @esk8unity
@@esk8unity I am not on IG sorry. I am on FB in the Evolve forum.
Hi Fred, when swapping the wheels about, do you need to update the gear ratio's on the esc via the remote like I have to do on my Wowgo 🤔
u dont have to but u should. its for the esc to send the information to the remote and the data to show you the proper information
Thanks for the review Fred! 100% agree with you re boutique boards vs 2 in 1. I used to have a
Lacroix Lonestar and as much as I respect what it could do, it felt like a boat to ride and was very cumbersome to transport.
31mph is PLENTY.. my
bamboo hadean should be here this month ✌🏼👌🏼🤙🏼
specs for specs it seems like the Hadean is laughably overpriced.
@@tubbehht9236 carbon is overpriced in my opinion. not the bamboo..u gotta demo it. much more to it then “specs & price”
What do you recommend for softer bushings ? To speak franly, I don't know anything about that, your advice would help a lot !
riptide krank barrels… id get a few different durometers.. 89a 90a 93a if ur havin trouble carving the board.. DM me for more help @esk8unity
I really don't know if I should get this or the hurricane. So many pros and cons to both. Wish there were more reviews. This would be $25 cheaper and come with two sets of wheels. If I order soon I also get free shredlights.
I went with the ownboard, I don't think you could go wrong with both of them though
i agree with ben. cant go wrong. im thinkn ab posting on Ig IFF i get to 1000 subs by the end of the month, ill get the meepo and don a 3 way VS with zeus, vs hurrican vs Hadean 🔥. what u guys think??
@@esk8unity You have to make sure to purchase the boards with pnumatics like the Hurricane or at least swap the Hurricane wheels onto the other boards before testing.
Or maybe put streets on the meepo? But that's not a Hurricane anymore.
Just a heads up bud, exciting things to come
@@wilson3404 for sure. i agree. they’ll all have clouds, or street wheels, or pneumatics 🤙🏼🤙🏼
@@esk8unity exellent!🤙🏼
Hey hey Freddie Jr awesome review looks like a monster of a board keep up the great work love the Merch you’re killing it my man cheers Andrew Penman ⚔️
Is ownboard a good company? I'm coming from an exway x1. Im so close to ordering one of these but I'm not reading particularly positive things on the company in terms of customer support/quality of parts/product longevity.. trusted reviews have them down as an average of 1.8 out of 5 stars 😬
Anyone got any experience with ownboard?
so i had two friends with ownboard bamboo AT.. they had there issues, but any good company will listen to there customers and actually improve. no matter how hard and how much it costs. and i think ownboard TRULY did that.
Realy good video! Looks like the Zeus is a realy good choice. Still I'm curious about a comparison to the Meepo Hurricane. Staying tuned
@@esk8unity awesome thanks so much! Looking forward to your next vid!
@@alvinr8694 happy to help… yea next one should be 🔥
Can you put small cloud wheels on the board!!?
of course 🤙🏼
Okay, and one more question for max speed
1. Smaller pully small wheel equals more speed?
2. Smaller pully big wheel equals more speed?
1 or 2 for more speed
And this is for a street wheel
@@Flaminghawk small pully = more
top speed, but less torque
bigger wheel means top speed, but less torque
larger pully means more torque but less top speed
smaller wheel means more torque but less top speed. so with this board, happy medium works. like a 40T with 100-120mm wheel. but all the newer, more higher performance 2 in 1 boards, i use small pullies on all my street wheels
@@Flaminghawk you have instagram? send me a dm. @esk8unity
Do you think a VESC would be a good/viable upgrade for this board?
for suree.. but keep in mind, when u tune ur own board like that. u can void warranty. also, u will sacrifice elsewhere. u turn up the power, you’ll lose range. that kinda thing
@@esk8unity Thanks for the reply. Right that makes sense of course - any recommendations on one for this?
@@bartekkawalkowski2760 honestly? the stock setup is great. i literally have all wheel size pullies, kegals, abec styles, and all matching belts. i also have a entire shelf full of wheels. so far, the 44t clouds on this is the best setup. but im still testing other pullies and wheels on it.. great board. 👌🏼
@@esk8unity Yeah I got the board like 2 weeks & I absolutely love it as well I think I'll hold off on any mods until at least after warranty period is over. I've order the 6" at wheels kit from tynee with the 66T pulley hoping that will feel decent
Wanted to see if you had thoughts on it?
it seems like another lycaon trx 2.0. same deck it seems and very similar specs. i didnt love the trx much.. i would choose the onsra bc2 over the sex panther. but if rob sends me one, id be happy to review it 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼. but id never say no to all these capable 2 in 1 boards. i like them all 🤙🏼🤙🏼

Hey bro, do you know how to change kmh to mph on your Zeus?
Hey there, great stuff ✌, got one on the way after your review, question on the wheels...would ABEC 11 Superfly 107mm fit on the original 44T pulleys? Just a thought for the future gear 🙆♂️✌
And also do you think that with a 14T motor pulley on the 97mm street wheels would it have about the same torque levels as the hurricane with the 90mm, as I don't care so much about top speed...👍
yes that will fit. i jus put 107s on the zeus actually… and no; the zeus is 15t motor pully… i doubt any smaller wheels with 45T still will have the power of the hurricane and hadean .. close tho.. still a greaaaat board tho
The trucks are single kingpin or standard.
i believe they r the same thing
Does this board come with the bash guard kit?
I thought there were TKP not DKP
Ah you changed what you said at @5:43 vs @1:43
I never called them dkp. I started a new sentence around 1:43 saying I do like dkp, even know a lot of ppl don’t like it...
Nothing is being given FREE‼️
It's all part of the HUGE package price.
Carver discount code doesn’t work by the way. :(
“CARVE” sorry. just fixed it. thank u 🙏🏼
@@HeadHunterCOTW. hmm. it worked for me. can u try a different product. see if a hoodie or shirt works plz… let me know 🤙🏼

I don’t understand why companies use double kingpin trucks. I fucking hate them! Standard trucks are way better

2 in 1 is hardly a new option and surely this board is not where near as powerful as a Kaly or Trampa?
i never said it was new. i said its finally getting its recognition it deserves…. kaly isnt that poweful. i had one. also, the hadean smoked it off the line. this with real wheels is just as powerful as a kaly… top speed is PLENTY. i rarely see botique riders going over 35mph and IFFF they are, its not a long period of time at alllll.. theres like 2 lacroix youtubers that do 40+mph and giant straight aways and all there doing is yanking the throttle and riding in a straight line. i cant speak for others, but to me, thats not skating ..as for trampa, i have no experience with trampa. but from my understanding, there more off road style boards. so this isnt the same thing obviously
Hey, I don't think I would promote a cloud wheel to your subscribers. I rode a friends board with clouds on a wet day, i performed normal maneuvers and had a bad accident. They are not suited for an experienced rider.
Also, we both know this board wouldnt keep up with my Nazare Supersport and its not even close to a $6k
It may be quick, but you cant make false claims to people who have no idea what the difference is between a $1600 board and a $3600 board.
