One of the best cars I ever owned was rhe Chrysler Voyager - because it was all about the family experience and comfortable long journey rather than its aerodynamics (and reliability probably) - this reminds me of that and I love it.
“I like waffles…but not blue ones, though.” I suppose it had to be said lol. See these Santa Fe’s everywhere stateside and I love everything about them except the rear end styling. The lights are much too low.
There is nobody else on UA-cam I trust more to review a big family SUV! I am currently in the market for one and love the design of the new Santa Fe. However, the diesel new Kodiaq just edges it for me on overall package - so will probably go with that.
Yes I agree diesel would be much better in a vehicle like this. Unfortunately, however, ever more stringent emission control measures renders new diesels ever more unreliable and expensive to maintain as they age. Plus current company taxation rules no longer make them a viable company car choice. So I will keep hold of my current 12 year old diesel estate car as long as possible until something really expensive happens to it.
One of the best reviewers on you tube, great channel. I really like this but no diesel means its not an option. The Sorrento still has the 2.2 diesel in the line up. A kia salesman told me this week the new Sorrento is selling at a ratio of 3 diesel Sorrento's to 1 hybrid or phev. Would of loved one of these but ended up with a top spec 4 Sorrento because of the engine.
Is Diesel better you reckon than the Hybrid? I'm about to buy a Santa Fe hybrid very soon but I like my diesel cars. Do you think diesel is a better option? Holds value more?
You can deactivate Speedlimit Warning by long pressing on the mute switch and deactivate Lane Departure Warning by long pressing on the steering wheel button with the steering wheel icon on it.
Actually, you can't disable the speedlimit warning like that on this one! I tried the long press on the mute switch repeatedly after it worked in the new EV6. But it didn't work on this Santa Fe. Weird.

They're very striking out on the road. They look a little reminiscent of the old American station wagons that used to proliferate the roads here before SUVs.
I do feel Kia/Hyundai/Genesis have spent so long focussing on EVs they forgot to develop their ICE engines. I think they should buy-in Mazda's new six-cylinder diesel 🥳
Nope, too big, too expensive. Went to the lakes last week and the roads are too small in many places to get around in a boat like this. I'm not one for government intervention generally, but cars are getting stupid sized at this point

Great review with the exception of hearing you say “but whatever” repeatedly. Overall, excellent content. Keep up the great work!
You forgot to mention the best bit...... the James Bond guns at the front under those twisty flaps.... 😮
They're a bit distracting aren't they?!
At first I liked them, but then they CONTINUED TO FLIP AND FLAP THROUGHOUT EVERY EXTERIOR SHOT. Drove me mad by the end of it

Yeah it's a bit nuts that the Santa Fe doesn't get it. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot...

Why do the vents on the grille keep opening and closing, even when the car appears to be off?

I wonder if Yangwang will Kumho tyres?
I’m disappointed in myself, that I’ve never pronounced it that way 😮
If comparing with the Kodiaq, Kodiaq PHEV doesn’t come as 7 seater but does have a coffin sized boot!

Nice car , great review on my list but disappointed not a diesel
Thank you!

I think you mean the Perfect "Rich" Family SUV.
True...
You didn't mention what it's like off road.
likely absolutely dogshit and incapable if im honest

Load the boot to the roof and it will be biggest in class
I like it, but it is very large.
I hear that all the time (about my belly, sadly)
Looks like an Escalade from Temu
Pretty minging suv
Same as a blue waffle or egg fried rice 🫢🤮
Saw it in the flesh yesterday, its horrific. The rear end is simply ugly, the lights are too low
Will look great outside the school gates, local gymn, salon, golf/ cricket club 😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
Why go through all the trouble to design a smart looking car, when you then give it such rubbish engines?

There are a few in this one that passed most people by I think!
I rather liked the flapping tash. I'd want to put some googly eyes behind them.
Wish I'd thought about them!
