Can you do Boku no hero academia or my hero academia? It’s one of the anime’s I like and I used your demon slayer one for a great edit I really am happy for the results but besides that, could you? My hero academia is pretty well known but a bit hated for its fandom which isn’t the creators fault. So maybe?
It was SHOT in 65mm, not blown up. Also, the era a film was made in has no bearing on "framing". In fact, more time was spent on great craftsmanship then than now. Kubrick was an accomplished still photographer before becoming a filmmaker. The sloppily made crap you see NOW is because no one has bothered to master the basics of blocking a scene and very few have Kubrick's eye.
This movie is one of the *greatest movies of all time* not because it changed cinema but because *it changed the world!* Siri/Alexa - HAL is a computer who talked Ipad - There is a touchscreen computer in that movie Skype/Facetime - That exists in that movie which came out in 69!!!! And that's only three from memory
This is possibly one of your best videos that you just made. And Stanley Kubrick at that time changed the rules of how a psychedelic science fiction epic should be made, not so much in the dialogue, but in the visuals and engaging cinematography. And since this is a visionary classic, although incomprehensible to some, it is astonishing to many.
I appreciate what you were trying to do, but jumping around the film out of sequence doesn't work, especially since you're cutting arbitrarily from one image to another. Also, why are all the Whites in the effects shots blown out? Finally, the recording of Zarathustra you used is not very good. BTW:I worked on the original Criterion Laserdisc of this film, which was approved by Kubrick.
Excellent movie. Too bad the critics didn’t think so. It was not nominated for best picture. The Blue Danube waltz should have been nominated for best song, but I guess all music nominations are given to new songs. Correct me if I’m wrong.
It actually received a lot more praise from critics than bashing. It’s just that the critics of the time knocking it were so well known in the field that their reviews overshadowed the majority which were positive reviews. Critics aside, moviegoers tended to find the film to be an instance masterwork, there are huge archives of fan letters written to Kubrick saying how the film quite honestly changed their lives. And over time the film has only become more and more highly regarded. And yeah to qualify for a best song nomination the song or piece of music has to be written intentionally for use in the film. The Blue Danube was already written long before.
@georgeburnham1880 I totally agree with you there m’dude. Actually the fact Kubrick never landed an Oscar just shows what a farce contests like that really are. I mean damn, The Shining even got a ‘razzie’ when it came out. Who’s laughing now?
I dont understand what makes this such a popular great film of all time pick. It gets slapped around by Eyes Wide Shut & Paths of Glory in Kubricks filmography alone! Not to even mention The Shining

Amazing Shots of 2001: A Space Odyssey:
Literally the entire movie
Every shot looks like a poster in my opinion. Shows the incredible cinematography of Stanly Kubrick
This video need to be 2h and a half long
Fr
Indeed!
even the intermission is better cinematography than the mcu
The colors and framing are incredible for a film of this time. Inspirational cinematography.
Indeed, the shot at 1:30 inspired the hud in Iron Man’s mask. Fun fact
I can't imagine seeing it then.

The greatest movie of all time
This movie is one of the *greatest movies of all time* not because it changed cinema but because *it changed the world!*
Siri/Alexa - HAL is a computer who talked
Ipad - There is a touchscreen computer in that movie
Skype/Facetime - That exists in that movie which came out in 69!!!!
And that's only three from memory
Don't forget about AI
Came out in 68 and you are right in everything!
One of the greatest achievements in cinema history. Great job!
100% It's still a Masterpiece.!
The entire movie is one big beautiful shot
-Dave : Open the Door HAL!
-HAL9000 : I'm sorry Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
1:57 The OG shot❤

*I was waiting for this for so long*
Probably the best ageing film ever. It almost seems so modern in the way it's shot, the clarity, and the vibe in general
How?? The prehistoric & space scenes look like they're on stages. I will say 1:56 is definitely historic and groundbreaking though
Amazing job, as always ❤

@ okay, maybe I was wrong about the critics. But it still should have been nominated none the less
@ so I guess the kudos go to the Oscars people
@georgeburnham1880
