The beauty of a Bronx tale please
@Pradeep Chowdhury it's scene in fear and desire
@Pradeep panwar Fear And Desire, Kubrick's First Feature film
How come _2001: A Space Odyssey,_ _Full Metal Jacket_ and _Eyes Wide Shut_ were not even nominated for the Oscars as cinematography? Amazing.
The true legends are never nominated for anything. They lay themselves on history
I just watched Full Metal Jacket and that's was some of the greatest cinematographys i have ever seen.
@@Detonated66 That's right.
Me too.
Because oscar is politic driven. Look how black panther win a lot and later on black lives matter suddenly became a thing. It is not coincidence.
This is one of the UA-cam's best channels.
Sup Lucas, glad to see you here xD
I agree
Sup Lucas.
@@geezus4418 Henlo.
True
god the shot at 1:28 is incredible the way it looks like a Baroque painting. Barry Lyndon is a masterpiece
I thought it WAS a painting
Barry Lyndon is probably the most beautifully looking film ever made, even to today's standards. The film camera lenses were originally intended for NASA'S space expeditions. The lighting by candlelight was also incredible.
Also imo probably the best movie ever
@@calogerogriffin861 there are better movies. It's just a subjective thing. In my opinion the best movie ever is Paris Texas, and the best shot too. But if for you it's Barry Lyndon ok. But it can't be described as the best movie ever just because you're saying it
@@gabrielesimone1372 well its not like i said that without a reason.but i know what you mean
@@calogerogriffin861 great.
AGREED. I assume Barry Lyndon was only over looked due to the Subject Matter & setting in old England. The fact that every knucklehead on the planet are obsessed with War made Full Metal Jacket a smash. It's all too easy learning to run, point & shoot. But Barry Lyndon requires you to understand & feel comfortable with your feelings & emotions. Hence why it can be uncomfortable for some to watch certain scenes.
It is a flawless masterpiece. I can hardly believe he achieved it back then with such equipment.
The Last Line of Kubrick Cinema;
"Fuck"
I was just thinking that! Guy went out like a true artist! The Freedom to express an inner vision to the outer world. Genius!
What movie was that ?
@@grussgott0768 Eyes wide shut
@@oliverdeharo2377 thank you for answering me
Coming from a man with a 200 IQ!
The Greatest of All Time.
No doubt about it.
I still think there are some directors better than him. Like Hitchcock, Scorsese or Welles. But I think he's surely the most influential of all time
@Fish God Agree
@Fish God I'd say they are all about equal in terms of "greatness", for different reasons of course. Just because one admires another doesn't make them any less great. There are plenty of other great filmmakers, anyway, from Spielberg to Kurosawa to Eisenstein. I don't know whos place it is to decide who is the "greatest," but its not you or me. By the way, Kubrick is my favorite director.
Stanley kubrick is obviously the greatest director of all time.
The narrow line between surreal and real, the drama encapsulated by beauty, the wide angles with inhuman accuracy and symmetry and the varied characters depicting madness in infinite ways. That was Kubrick and his art.
Well said.
For me, Kubrick is the master. Perfect homage to his art.
Kubrick's pictures are so massive. They are monuments in the history of cinema.
3:25 I love how Alex's face shows up right after the blood elevator. It's like he's enjoying himself seeing all that blood spill out.
This is my Top 10 Stanley Kubrick:
1. Barry Lyndon
2. 2001: A Space Odyssey
3. A clorwork orange
4. Dr. Strangerlove: or how I learn to stop worrying and love the bomb
5. The Shining
6. Full Metal Jacket
7. Paths of Glory
8. Eyes Wide Shut
9. Lolita
10. The Killing
EVERY OF THIS IS A MASTERPIECE
You had me at Stanley Kubrick...
I've seen these films multiple times already and I still can't get enough of them. I just love it when I see a video on Kubrick's filmography, thanks. Your work is amazing as always.
Absolutely excellent, brillant video, made me want to watch some of the Kubrick movies i haven't seen yet! Well done!!
Merci !
1:03 whenever this shot from _"The Clockwork Orange"_ comes up, I get chills, man!
Love the ending, it's really all you can say after seeing 4 minutes of Kubrick's brilliance.
The Beauty of Paul Thomas Anderson, please!
Probably one of my favorite directors of all time
Yes
@@diogenes5079 same
Alr this is my favorite video you've ever made. Everything from the Eyes Wide Shut track to the editing style to the inclusion of lesser known earlier Kubrick works. Glad to see a decent share from Fear and Desire, Spartacus, and Killer's Kiss. Those movies, while not Kubrick's best, are gorgeous all the same and were important in Kubrick's development. I especially liked the nice touch of the ending of the vid. The ending of EWS is still one of my favorites of all time. Great work, man! 👍
« The Beauty Of Denis Villeneuve » would be splendid
He's done it already
Overrated
@@JohnDouille L
@@JohnDouille Blade runner 2049 is his only good movie for me ,I need to watch prisoners, but the others are shit
I think we should wait for Dune first.
When I was younger I didn't really understand or care for 2001 A Spacy Odyssey, I'm glad as I grew older I started to appreciate it more. The Shining has always been one of my favourites
The editing in this video is amazing once again 🙌
This is a perfect tribute to one of the directors of all time
Yes, really well cut.
The choice of music was perfect. I remembered it from Eyes Wide Shut and now listening to again. This is a beautiful waltz.
I watched the Kubrick movies that I hadn't seen last week and what can I say... What a marvelous experience... Many of these movies that I saw in only 8 days will stay forever in my memory.
Beauty of Stanley Kubrick: his all movies, photos and documentaries
I followed Kubrick since I was a teenager and he’s one of my favorites of always. Great video!
This wasn't just 4 minutes of Stanley Kubrick's face. Disappointed
You NEED to do the beauty of Andrei Tarkovsky
True.
This is the perfect homage to the master. Thank you for what you are doing.
This guy was a visionary, such a wonderful filmmaker
May I suggest videos for:
- Werckmeister Harmonies
- Aguirre, the Wrath of God
- Come and See
- Throw Away Your Books, Rally in the Streets
Yes, the great klaus kinski
Aguirre would be great.
The most underrated channel
Stanley Kubrick was not just a filmmaker, he was an ARTIST.
Every filmmaker is an artist, as cinema is a form of art
One of the best directors ever. Beautiful cinematography meets perfect acting and storytelling.
My favorites of him:
Barry Lyndon, A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A space odyssey
The Shining?
Kubrick did what no one can. Making every movie perfect.
Great Tribute for my 2nd Favourite film Director!
Can you do The Beauty of Martin Scorsese with Comfortably Numb Song in it please? 🙂
Who's the favourite director ?
Martin Scorsese My Favourite Film Director!
I would love to see that video, I also would like to see The Beauty of Bong Joon-Ho.
Kubrick is without a doubt one of the most influential filmmakers of the 20th century, taking his inspiration from various forms of literature, art, design, and film history. By taking a look at his timeless and classic films there are few things what makes Stanley Kubrick movies makes so iconic. His dynamic camera movement, his brash use of color and also his enigmatic stories and messages.
There were so many great choices for music here but this was the perfect pick
3:11 Thanks for including that one, probably my favorite shot in any Kubrick film.
same
I mean I know it’s Stanley Kubrick and all but.... DAMN every shot is his movies are literally perfect and Oscar worthy like wow. No wonder EVERYONE talks about him
Incredibile video on Kubrick and his movies💪 plesse make beauty of on other directors (Sorry for my english)
Request: the beauty of Ridley Scott
The beauty of David Fincher
Yes and yes
Agreed such lush images and profound storytelling.
The beauty of mad men
what a beautiful framings. Just like a art gallery
Always ending with the Director`s last Film last scene. Beautiful
My son is interested in movies and such. I tell him to pay attention to the lighting, to the camera angles, and to how the director chooses to shoot different scenes. It’s a visual story that we understand but don’t always appreciate.
2:21 to 2:33 the music looks beautiful with that shot.
I've seen every movies of Stanley Kubrick. His films are not among my favorites, but certainly are some of the most unique & beautiful films I've seen. A true virtuoso in directing🙏
What a coincidence. I’m just rewatching all of his classics on blu ray. Amazing work!
Every shots in every singel stanley kubrick's work of films are always capable of making such a good pic for my wallpaper. It's so wonderous and beautiful.
the proportion, composition, and aesthetic is on point
I hope more people end up finding your channel with time. You deserve that appreciation. Loved this piece & keep doing what you are doing.
As a photographer, I relate to Stanley's craft by repeatedly shooting a picture over and over again until I get it right.
Brilliant choice of music!
It really ties all these different types of movies together.
Damn I just realized that the last word in Kubrick's last film was "F*ck". What a way to go Legend !
Verdadero artista y maestro del cine.
Excellent choix de musique et super montage. Encore une superbe vidéo pour l'un des plus grands.
This is BRILLIANT, I can't imagine telling you HOW LONG i've waited for this video, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Woooow thank you so much for this video! I was literally searching for something like this yesterday and was upset that there wasn’t a good video. Thank you so much!
a clockwork orange is seriously underrated, i never hear anyone talk about it.
The irony of using this background music, chosen for Eyes Wide Shut after Kubrick had died and therefore had no input in selecting
At this point, Stanley Kubrick films became its own genre.
I love eyes wide shut, full metal jacket, and the shining. Thank you for this wonderful tribute to a true auteur!
The beauty of death note anime will also be great.
Apart from the beauty ..You give me the best choices to watch movies .
Stunning man. Just stunning. Great choice of BGM as well👌🏽👌🏽.
Here’s a recommendation : The Departed. So stellar shots from Martin Scorcese in there. And also some great soundtracks as well.
Keep up the work man!!!!👌🏽
2001 and the shining are great. But Spartacus is my favourite. It's just way too epic, and yet it ends in failure. A man with a dream that wouldn't be realized for at least 2000 years. Powerful stuff
Great video, perfect ending.
If only he would've been able to complete Napoleon. :(
If only .stew fmj crew.
Encore une magnifique vidéo ! Penses-tu en faire une sur David Fincher ?
Wow... 😱 The best selection of music 😘👌
My fav filmmaker ❤️
Oh man how can you read my mind everytime that's why YOU ARE A BEAUTY. GREAT WORK AGAIN
I really appreciate Stanley Kubrick and his 2001 A space Odyssey is a masterpiece which I still can't believe that it came out in 60s.
Waltz No. 2 always turns me on a sentimental mood because for me it represents the last film we ever going to see from Kubrick
There will never be another Stanley Stew FMJ Crew.
Waiting for "The beauty of Memories of Murder" & "The beauty of The Wailing" .✌🏼🙌🏻
This video is enough to make you kubrick’s fan
The Beauty of Tarkovsky please!!!
I adore Orange and DrStrangelove but I totally missed the point with FMJ.. I felt it was plain boring watching this first half then the second half was better but idk man something was not there as I am usualy totaly hooked by his work. Anyway, the master.
Always find myself coming back to this video for inspiration
GREATEST DIRECTOR EVER
Writing this before watching. I have very high expectations and Kubrick is my favorite director. Please let the video be good ;)
After watching: Nice selection of shots, I would have used other music though :) Maybe something from 2001 or probably Clockwork. The ending made me smile ;)
Kubrick est mon cinéaste préféré. C'est un superbe condensé de ses plus belles images !
No doubt he is the greatest Film Director of all time
It's amazing how this channel makes us always see and review what is beautiful. I've seen and reviewed this one by Kubrick a hundred times. Too beautiful.
Thank you for preserving the aspect ratios. See a lot of posts and videos like this that all crop to one ratio
The last word in a Kubrick film : fuck. Sublime.
This is the best video in UA-cam
Thank you I love Stanley. Plz do the Beauty of A.I. or A clockwork Orange.

Barry Lindon is the most handsome
The most irreverent Clockwork Orange
The most accomplished Full Metal Jacket
History will do its duty with Eyes Wide Shut, because the day will come when everyone will be able to understand the TRUE meaning of this film.
And that day, the world will understand how great Kubrick was

2001 and Barry Lyndon stand among all his works.
his wide shots and the lenses he choses for his movies in the 60s-70s honestly look like the style alot of people are doing today which is great.
