I’ve heard many riders say they really don’t like perfume smell or any kind of smell really. I think the best tip that we missed in this video was to wash yourself. Make sure you smell good and not too much perfume or cologne and I say this because many riders have told me many drivers smell like sweat and other things.
I air my car out between every rider. Also, I check my preferences before turning on my app because Uber likes to slip in there every so often and turn on Pet and / or their Uber priority. Especially after an app update.
1.Uber drivers don't feel like cleaning if you don't get tips where you live... like where I live, nobody tips even if you are spotless wearing nice clothing and smelling good, it's a culture thing, also no subscription cleaners. 2.Bathroom breaks? All the drivers I know just pee in a bottle. 3.If you get a long ride and need fuel nobody cares if you stop for fuel.
Yeah I didn't find none of this helpful. For the first one yeah you're right they don't tip enough and I am not paying $20 for a car wash. Two yes I pee in a bottle. 3 I always get gas before or after a shift. Good points my dude
First thing I do each day is run through the wash and clean the interior. Unfortunately, most of the places Uber sends me to don’t tip and they want me to drive 20 minutes for an $8 run.
When I get home, I spray Lysol on the back seat, the floor and the doors. Then no issues when I start out the next day other than opening the back windows to give it a bit more of fresh air.
I use a water vinegar 1:1 solution in a Ecolab fine mist spray bottle to spot clean the outside of my car. I use old cut up towel swatches that save me money on paper towels. I also don't park on the street that I live on. It seems to pick up more dust and dirt there. When it's too dirty for that process. I will take it to a power sprayer car wash and wipe down everything after. I use my own small Walmart vacuum I use for under $20. I keep a can of Ozium spray original to keep the car smelling nice.

My 2016 Lexus ES 300h currently has 300k miles and people think it's still a much newer car with way less miles! Part of that is due to daily cleaning and I absolutely don't allow smoking or even vaping in my car! Having custom fitted floor mats also helps! Keeping your car clean and odar free goes along way with getting constant tips!
I personally keep my vehicle clean as possible. I carry a wireless vacuum. I also use Amor disinfect ion wipes. I also provide snacks and a cellphone portal charge. Good for iPhone, galaxy. Everyone who enters my vehicle is super excited 😄 Get my five 🌟's and tips.
Great analysis, thank you! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
The most important thing you can do is make plan before you start your day .. first work Uber first doing th3 following. Don't take long trip unless you want to go that direction. Work around your neighborhood as much as you can . Turn your 2 hours zone , When expired, turn your Uber off and jump in Lyft .. turn your 2 hour's " stay within area" ... after finishing the 2 hours , turn off your Lyft , then go back turn on your Uber.. use your 2 destination on area you know you would like and make sure it's south from where you live . Then later you your second destination.. turn your Uber off . Then turn you Lyft again , turn your " stay within area " for 2 hours . Avoid highways. That way, you don't pay tolls ..
How can I stop from getting rides within the 40 minutes before the scheduled ride that takes me in the opposite direction!!!! They say they will only give rides that take you in the direction of the scheduled ride ,that has not been the case! And they're always within 15 or 20 minutes before the scheduled ride and then I feel like I have to rush and speed to get to the schedule ride on time or lose it. This has got to stop!!
@christianslense455 Hey thanks for telling me how that works. That's been a big help! I only drive Uber X so I'm not in my preferences ever to understand how that works Man I've been posting that issue all over the place and you're the only one that told me how to fix it. Thanks!
Great Video - Just Started Ride Sharing - Solo when I try to add Uber it asks for Uber Password. I log into Uber with my google account and the password for google does not work. Any thoughts?
No smell is the BEST smell! You shouldn't have to use ANY fragrance because all that does is covers up the smell! Use 50/50 Distilled White Vinegar and Water and spray it on your carpets to help defuse the cause of the smell. Use leather conditioner to clean leather.
I don't have any bad smells to cover up, but I use Little Trees brand "New car smell" vent clips, to keep my car smelling fresh. I get compliments all the time about how great my car smells. People think I have a brand new car, but it's actually a 2018. I receive a tip for almost every ride too. Keeping the interior clean is a must. Dirty floors and seats are not something people wanna see. I'm constantly checking my backs seats and floors to see what remnants riders left behind.
Long trips aren't worth it! You have to be smart before taking the ride. It can be a trash ride or a good ride. Acceptance rate doesn't pay my bills or cancellation.
In Addition to Ride-share Gig driving I hold credentials as an Environmental Transportation & Real Estate Health Advisor with a focus on Sales and Compliance Leadership. While driving rideshare, I’ve observed that states lacking emissions testing allow high levels of unmonitored pollutants to accumulate in vehicle cabins. Over time, this exposure can result in impaired alertness (driving drowsy), respiratory illnesses, increased cancer risk, and even fatalities. Additionally, riders frequently trigger air quality monitors in my car due to harmful substances like toxic cologne, perfume, cigarette smoke, or VOCs embedded in uniforms (e.g., from restaurant servers or cooks). This highlights an urgent public health concern: the need for better air quality monitoring and education to mitigate risks associated with poor indoor and vehicular air quality. ESS/TMIII
I keep a clean car.and keep it clean i dont get tips but 90% of my rides are paid for thru insurance so the passenger dont even pay let alnoe tip...lol
I think we all saw that video where he got $61 for a 2 mile trip 😂 shoot if i got paid that ill be super clean and this guy gets tip super well no one tips in Miami
Iies . Uber drivers don't make that much money... Company takes from 40-50% off each Ride.. long trips they take more. .. from 100 dls. You make 35dls-40dls..
At least for economy platforms, cleaning your car is overrated. For the first couple years of my driving I kept a very clean car. Gradually I started relax on this and for the last couple of years I barely clean it al all. TIPS HAVE NOT DECREASED. I do regularly make sure no crap builds up in the car, either from passengers or myself, and I might vacuum and wipe down the dash and any dirty marks anywhere once or twice a year. But other than that I really do not bother keeping a meticulously clean car. It's not worth it unless you just want that for yourself as a driver.
They should be happy. The driver showed up given the pay that Uber is paying. I only spray because I smoke and I don’t want the passengers to have to suffer that smoke so they will suffer Febreze

I wish they would fix that. Drive out of a zone then when you come back uber checks Uber eats and you need ro cancel
Antibacterial spray will work to for the car inside.
i did all what your saying, first ride 18 miles drop off 1.3mile pick up fare is $9.78 🤣 WTF
Not every ride is going to be the same.
try san diego 😂😂 all the same lol
Uber is my side gig, good tips here.

😂@@Kinghippi3
@@Kinghippi3you know you're not supposed to put it in the bottle right?
And this is why I am a superior rideshare driver than any of you...
Some people don't want to breathe chemicals from a deodorant spray while in your car.
I understand. You must make a choice, stinky people or a slight chemical smell! Lol!
Better than smelling my farts...😊. That's how I guarantee a ride on a slow day. I cut loose and I get a ride every time with a short pick up.
@ Do the windows not work in your Forester?
fresh air not recycled air and blower on med/high setting, same temperature that airplanes are. every driver needs to do this
As a rental driver... I had to refurbish a few myself

8 minutes ad ; ) good try. It could be useful for some ppl who watch instead of working..
Yep it was a giant infomercial.
EXACTLY 🎉 Just posted that.
Lol that's the main conversation in my car how the last Uber smelt.
When I get home, I spray Lysol on the back seat, the floor and the doors. Then no issues when I start out the next day other than opening the back windows to give it a bit more of fresh air.
😂 what bonuses??? Uber hasn’t sent one since Covid. Lyft hasn’t sent one in a month. Pffft!
Depends again, on your market. I don't get bonuses and surges here & don't complain. Doesn't do any good.
I got a $20 bonus for 30 rides today. Chicago uber has piddly bonuses now.

I have 3 different Oziums and EVERYONE thinks the "new car smell" smells like a cross between vomit and a dog kennel......the best is "black carbon"
I like the original Ozium scent.
I use original opium and always get compliments on how my car smells new

Turn off Uber x in your preferences when you have a reservation. This way you stay online but you won't get pinged for other rides
