Haha ok man. Really made a big mistake buying this exhaust system for my b18 build , but didnt have any other choice than making custom exhaust :( Sooo noisy soo loud
After the system is run in it gets abit louder and alot more poppy. Although I have added a Skunk2 Intake and Throttle Body since this video. Check out my new video for a little engine bay view.
maybe someone here would be able to help me out.. I got a 98 hatch and I need an exhaust that doesnt sound like "your typical honda" exhaust. e.g. the skunk.. anyone have an idea?
***** Mugen twin loop, custom fabbed, different manifold; 4-1 will be more throaty/lumpy. Its not the exhaust but the b-series itself that creates the sound that you refer to as "your typical Honda".
Ry8ean Nice I had this exhaust on my civic MB3 D15Z8 with whale intake and it sounds very similar to yours but it was too loud for me haha so took it off
h4mza786 Yeah it was loud, too loud honestly. Car's now running a built b16 and a Precision 5558 turbo with this exhaust. Once the weather is better I'll do a video showing how it sounds now.
Nice setup man. I have a question and I would really appreciate it if you took the time to answer/reply.... I also have the alpha series headers on my 97 EK hatchback and I've been running them open for a while now (super loud). I just got my megapower R exhaust (j-spec) and I noticed i need a test pipe/cat. Did you have this same issue? If you did what testpipe/cat do you use? Please reply.... Thanks bro
Hi pal. Thanks for the comment. Yes I had to use a test pipe. I used a 2.5" adjustable Decat. Offered it up to the system, adjusted it to fit, put a clamp around it on it went.
Thanks for the reply bro! Is there a specific adjustable Decat you used, as in what brand? So you just left the clamps on the adjustable Decat and bolted it on? Have you ran into any exhaust leaks? Sorry for all the questions bro... I just want to get it right the first time
Hi man. I ran a tegiwa adjustable Decat. One clamp and a thin layer of exhaust sealant and had no issues. Personally if I were to do it again. I'd get the car up the air, offer up the Decat to the system, adjust it to fit and then weld the sleeves of the Decat. But no, no leaks.
sounds amazing mate, good job. im looking at getting a civic for my first car in a couple of years,
that is very very clean. sounds really nice
Sounds good
lol nevermind i listened to the ending of the in car sound and i love it! thats exactly what i want my 93 integra to sound like!
She's changed a lot since then. 15x8 Rota kensei's are in order now, and an SiR front lip too. Will update with another video come December hopefully.
So did you remove that exhaust ? Its so loud afterall.
Still on the car to this day, even after going turbo and back N/A i put the system back on haha.

Doesn't bother me much really, then again I have other cars I can drive, guess it could become much if you commute with it.
Ry8ean haha lol nevermind. its not my daily either..
