Hi Jakob , gread build and sound of your Apprehension Engine, im planning to build one , but not sure on the pick ups ?, does the Hurdie strings have a pick up or just the other neck set up ?, Cheers

I have 6 piezo pickups under the hood, one is pretty close to the wheel but you can experiment with different positioning and find the sound you like best! Cheers Jakob

I've just ordered a reverb tank from the States, I work in a furniture factory so plenty of off cuts , so going to look for more info about parts

Sounds absolutely fantastic! This is one of the best home builds I’ve heard! I’m building one as well, and I hope it will sound like this! A couple questions: What did you use for your main soundboard panels/tone wood (back, front, and top)? In addition, I love the gold bridge and tuners - by any chance do you have a link to the ones you purchased?

I'll look for the tuners and post you a link! The box itself is plywood and the necks are hardwood. They plywood is 5mm but the top and front is only 3mm which is better for the acoustic. if you have any other questions let me know

At the beginning of the video you are using a stick with a ball at the tip. What's the material of this ball? Is it soft or hard?

A rubber ball put on a wooden stick

What was your total cost to build this?

With all the electronics it was about 200 € but you can build it cheaper as well. Shoot me a message if you need any help
