It never matters what register he is singing, he's INCREDIBLE. His range was spectacular, and he could sing any style of music beautifully. He was/is a treasure. 💗Robin Gibb💗 is one of the most talented singers of all time; and actually I'd say THE most talented. And he was such a babe too. I'm so thankful he shared himself and all his oodles of talent and hotness. I cannot imagine life without him to look at and listen to. Robin, Beautiful One, you are still EVERYTHING. 🥰💋
A God given gift of an ethereal voice. It’s hard to believe that he’s 15 years old and has never had any musical training!! There will never be another Robin Gibb, may he Rest In Peace.❤️
As a teenager, Robin sounded like a dignified, mature man. With the Bee Gees trademark falsetto, I didn't realize that he actually had such a vocal range. He was unique in how his songs and vocals could evoke such profound sadness, with such an aesthetic beauty. It was a shame when the Bee Gees had broken up for a while, in ego clashes over who should lead in vocals. It was good that as brothers, they were able to reconcile better than many other rock bands, and make their big comeback. You wish that all major stars would put aside their egos and appreciate each other's mutual contributions, as much as their fans do. Robin was was classic character, who will be missed,
@@johndeaconssexylegsAcho que não! Ele tinha a melhor voz dos 3 incluindo o falsete. Stayin Alive os tons mais altos de falsete foram feitos pelo Robin Gibb.
The Bee Gees have so many songs and such a variety that they will keep us busy for years to come! Thanks Bee Gees for their awesome music and thanks to the person who posted this gem
This absolutely blew me away. I wasn't expecting that voice to come out of Robin at all, as it sounded nothing like what I'm used to hearing from him. It reminded me of singers like Andy Williams, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, and Frank Sinatra - or something along those lines, I think. He sounded absolutely gorgeous!❤😍
He was 16 here. This was recorded in in 1966 and he wouldn't be 17 until December of that year. The twins were close to being born in 1950 so it is very confusing.
@@susieq9801 ...and probably having a blast doing such an incredible version here, he had to know...💞🎶💓(although I did not believe it was him at first! Thanks 💌) BTW, apparently "Wine and Women" was recorded a year PRIOR to this, and according to my piano, he hits a G below the low Ab here. That is improvisational, not in the score (me thinks)!!💓 When thinking of their history, exposure to SO much music and various styles they each loved and emulated at times...it's easier to fathom what we hear from him here. That and his precocious spirit of musical genius...from the womb!!! 💘 🎶 (I'm told that one...or two;) can hear from in there!!..and their entire world, even then, was music~music~music!!!)
@@judywright6889 - This and a few other acetates were found in canisters at a garage sale in Sydney in 1983 and later verified as to where and when they were recorded, just fooling around to soundtracks they found in the studio, There was also at least one song sung by Barry and by them all together. Bet the guy who sold them in his garage sale has been kicking himself in the butt ever since. So glad they were found. There are many dozens of unreleased songs and demos out there. I hope Barry finally will consent to release them. I think they are in his hands just as Robin's early solo stuff was in his family's and released in "Saved by the Bell". We don't care if they're demos or not perfect. Just great to hear them!
Unbelievable. What a voice. It seems to me that as the years went by in their career all of them began singing in higher keys. Like when they were say 16-21 they were barotones and became tenors. Why? Was that the popular thing in Pop music?
Yea,,,,,,,totally bizarre.....you'd think it would be just the opposite............This almost sounds like a total joke... Robin sounds more like he's 35 yr.old.....except on the very last note....he was recognizable
Unfortunately, male pop singers invariably sing tenor. Robin had been singing the high part in their 3 part harmonies from childhood and never lost that ability after his voice changed. Hearing him speak with the deepest voice of the brothers and then sing with his high tenor was always startling.
Like when I was in choir in High School they put me in the alto section, but I found it easier to sing as a saprano. What actually is "falsetto" I know it means "false voice." But what really is a false voice? I know my spelling is off on last post. :
Another one is Barry singing "You're The Reason" sounds as good as Ronnie Milsap's which I think is better than the composer Bobby Darin's version. I believe the Bee Gees as children had access to studios and knowledge of mixing and what other stuff they do! So lovely.
It is proven. The acetates were found at a garage sale in Sydney in 1983 and verified as to the time and place they were recorded and since released in Australia on CD in 1988. The guy had no idea what he had. There were also recordings by Barry and all three together from the same session. The fact has also been verified by the Gibbs themselves.
Unbelievably beautiful at such a young age.

Robin rarely ever used falsetto, though, his was the least developed of the three of them

That is not Robin Gibb's voice.
Listen to the accent......

BTW, the vibrato is inimitable. Listen to some of their other songs like "Monday's Rain" or "When do I". Ever hear those? Same voice.
Oh! YES 100% Robin❤!
