I wish you gave more detail instructions on the adjustment in the back. Moving the thread forward. What does it do compared to moving it back? What are you looking for when you're trying to find that sweet spot.
The 2 wires are the clutch saftey switch. If you dont twist them together you can only start it in neutral. If you twist together then the bike will act like the clutch is always pulled so it will crank anytime you push the start button.

And if you have it hooked up to the stock perch you can start in in neutral or with the clutch pulled
