The IDF have already been found responsible for multiple deaths of Irish troops in the UNIFIL mandated area from the 1980’s onwards…practically every family in Ireland has a connection to that mission which the Irish have provided troops for since 1979.🇮🇪

Israel did once again claim the Al Aqsa Hospital bombing occurred during to being a “command and control center”. Worth noting however, is the fact that yesterday was the seventh attack on this hospital and its surroundings.
Israel has an excuse for each and every horrendous thing they do. They always have been able to excuse the most shocking behavior.
I am of Irish ancestry and my great grandparents were driven out and abused by the British colonists , One day I was in the Lake district on holiday in a restaurant and we got talking to a young couple who said they were from Israel, pretty soon they started ranting about the Palestinians from across their table saying how Palestinians are barbaric and homophobic and hate women, I didnt know anything about Palestine then as this was years ago when I was young, but what struck me was how rabid and over the top insanity way they needed to tell us 2 total strangers how they hated another group of people , just like my great grandparents were treated by the British, NO Blacks No Irish No dogs, I remember thinking WOW I was shocked at the venom spewed from their mouths ,it was scary.
The signs you mention were put up (allegedly) in the windows of private boarding houses by the little old ladies who ran them, probably on the basis of bitter experience. They don’t make you or anyone else a victim, and certainly not on a comparable level to the Palestinians (whose cause I fully support - we agree on that).

No, you are wrong. One) Don't you think it is advisable to educate yourself somewhat on the Middle East conflict before you jump in to the conversation and pontificate? Two) You overhear a couple of Israelis talking about Palestinians. You thought they were hateful. A sample size of 2 tells you nothing about Israeli society. They were just 2 people you did not like. So what? The fact is the UNIFIL force in Lebanon failed to do job they for which they were tasked. Unequivocal, total failure. Israel is 100% legal and moral in demanding that the UN withdraw their forces. Hezbullah rocketed Israel with 9000 missiles for the past year. The UN has no argument against Israel's desire and demand to bring their citizens back to their homes in northern Israel. The UNIFIL presence is wrong. Israel is right. GET OUT.

The situation in northern Gaza is a hideous calamity. Can the UN not invoke special powers to form a multinational force to break the stranglehold on northern Gaza and deliver emergency supplies immediately?
The UN security council needs to approve it and the USA has veto powers over any decision.

When people heard stories coming out Germany about concentration camps they didn't take it seriously. Many said, "Well it couldn't be that bad." How do the Israeli's to manage this horror. When the Russian and Allied armies entered Germany they found the death camps and it started just like this, by saying that Jews were animals. I am forever struck by the irony of this cruel catastrophe...
Isn't it amazing that the people who were nearly exterminated are trying to exterminate another people less than a hundred years later, and have used their own victimization to get away with it. No one has been allowed to say a word about the injustices without being called an antisemite. This is the first time I can remember when it is finally acceptable in America to support Palestinians. Finally!!!! We need to use this momentum to stop the Israeli terrorist state from genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Thank you for commenting! You've made me aware of the Irish efforts to bring peace to the region. Right now, Americans need to figure out how to organize better to compete with the Israeli lobby and start voting out legislators who support aid to Israel. Without American aid, Israel will no longer exist. Americans need to realize that and start grabbing the bull by the horns. This is beyond ridiculous!

The useless UN and UNIFIL need to leave southern Lebanon. Their mandate is to
"Assist the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) in taking steps towards the establishment between the Blue Line and the Litani river of an area free of any armed personnel, assets and weapons other than those of the Government of Lebanon and of UNIFIL deployed in this area."
Which they have totally failed at.

Thanks to the UN, Israel exists. The venom shown by Israeli folk towards the UN is a sight to behold , but it is not a surprise considering what happened to Moyne and Folke in the 1940s.
