- Today we look at the Ninja Foodi NeverStick Premuim Set PossiblePan. Why does everything have such a long name? Anyway, we did a few tests on this to test the non-stick, the strainer and the capacity of this pan. Is it any good? Should you buy it? Check it out and let us know!

Why would you not only rinse the pasta, but also throw out all the starchy pasta water?! That stuff is the key to a good pasta sauce!
Thanks for watching !
Am I the only one who would cook the pasta directly in the pot, then when its done, use the colander as a straining lid (use the colander to "hold down" the pasta as you're draining the water)? I know its not how Ninja advertised it, but I think it would absolutely save the "pasta" cooking aspect. I started doing that with our regular colander/big pots based on those "tips" I would see videos of and I think the idea would transfer perfectly here as its meant to fit the pan perfectly.
U certainly could ! We tried it the way ninja suggested to. Thanks for watching. Marc.
Love your reviews. Very very very detailed and very very very well thought items cooked.
Thanks for the wonderful comment and support! - J
I put about 1/2 inch of water and steam my pasta with the lid on. No boiling over but do watch that you dont run out of water. Quinoa pasta cooks fast so no problem with lack of water
Great tip. Thanks. Marc
I wish you would have tried putting the lid on when you cooked the pasta. Maybe (I don't know) It would have worked better.
I was trying to avoid a massive mess which i almost guaranteed would happen!!
Hate how the rivets in nonstick pans aren't coated with the same coating as the rest of the pan. Great reviews guys keep up the great work 👍
That’s a great point ! Thanks for watching
Very nice review and I would like an update to hear how well the pan has held up. But cranking it to high to melt the cheese made me cringe: that high heat breaks down the nonstick coating and will cause it to release toxic fumes, as well as destroying the nonstick properties. Please don't use any PTFE products with high heat because it is not safe!
We'll see what we can do, and thanks for the tip! - J
Nice pan but I would never be able to make pasta in that since I have a family of 4.
So do I. Would be close. Thanks for watching. Marc
What’s wrong with cooking sprays? I’m about to get this now I’m curious
Not sure. Just following their recommendations. I normally use sprays all the time. Thanks for watching. Marc
@@TheAverageKitchen yeah same even with none stick pans I use oil/butter/sprays to be extra safe also I like the flavor! Also to add I’m wondering why they even advertise this for pasta honestly I’d only use pots for pasta to account for over boiling! Also I’m wondering does the steam basket from this pan fit the pot version?
I don’t think it would fit. Although I never tried.
@@alfredo8092 that’s a good point but what about cooking with wine?
@@alfredo8092 I’m sure you can use oil/butter you can’t avoid it being part of foods naturally especially oil! Maybe they are trying to not be liable so they want to make sure you don’t do anything extra it’s just like how in their ads they talk about you could use metal utensils yet they highly advise you not to in the manuals. So to be safe since this is an expensive pan for me I’ll hand wash right away instead of end of the night as usual.
It’s not a pasta pot that’s a steamer rack
Shouldn't it work to strain as well? - J
@@TheAverageKitchenYou cook the pasta in the pan and pour the pasta INTO the strainer in the sink. You don't cook with a steamer in place if you're boiling pasta.
@BubbaBearsFriend tell ninja that. We followed their suggestion
Cheese is not a good test. It’s got a lot of fat in it and when you cook it that way it will come off ANY pan when cooled. For eggs you should have scrambled them. That’s when they are more likely to stick. And cook some meat like a steak.
Thanks for the feedback. - J
I was excited about this pan and bought one. The first thing I did was steam vegetables with it. Find out I can't steam it. All the water was coming out from the side of that lip. Almost took out all the water. Still came out from The side. Very disappointed with this product.
Agreed. I was pumped about it. But for the price, it underperformed. Thanks for watching. Marc.
why are you filling it up so high to steam? you just need to cover the bottom with an inch or so of water
@@rickhammel9541 you can't put or 1 inch of water in the pan. It will bubble over the pour spout area, for some strange reason??? To prevent that, you literally have to put like ⅛ to ¼ of water in. And you're risking ruining your pan.
Great video! Pretty expensive non stick pan!
Thanks for watching.
That piece isn't really meant to boil pasta in my guy, its mainly used as a "steamer"... Also, you need to have the lid sit directly on the pan to seal the steam from the water...
Well my guy. Ninja suggests boiling pasta in it. So we tried it. Thanks for watching my guy.
Great, honest review.
Thanks so much! - J
The cheese test always makes me hungry. I love burnt cheese and cheese crisps.
Hahaha nice ! Marc
it's a steamer basket, not a pasta strainer.
Not according to ninja.
How can you trust someone who rinses pasta? Lol
Enjoy the mouth full of starch ! Lol
@@TheAverageKitchen a mouth full of starch. You're hysterical. Continue doing reviews but please stop cooking
I do not believe is steamer. Basket was meant for cooking pasta like that wake up reviewer
Tell ninja that…. We didn’t design it.
just add less water
hehehe
Thanks for watching. Marc
This is the first video of yours I have watched because I am interested in pan. The pan appeared to perform admirably, but you appeared to have a strong bias against it. That is a steam basket. you should have done broccoli. You can boil pasta without a basket and then drain it in the sink. You seemed to be the only dysfunctional thing in the video. I honestly thought it was going to fail, especially frying the egg without grease. You seem to have gone out of your way to make the pan look bad. I truly wish I would’ve watched the video without sound.
Thanks for all the positivity. Please send me the link to your review. I’d love to critique it.
Only americans strain pasta
And Canadians apparently... - J
Really butchered those eggs. What a mook.
Thanks for watching and the positivity !! Marc
Heat too high
