@@donnygrande3662 Hi! Nice to hear from you. I live 60 km from Bygdøy. So i have been there many times. But never visit Canada, but for sure i have water to go there. Seattle it's the nearest place i have been. Namaste
@@donnygrande3662 Very nice to hear about your memory and thank you for shearing this with me. If you find a nice video about Ottawa or near where you liv, please send me a link. I can sen you a narrow road movie from wester Norway. Peace
This channel brings such peace and calmness. All those beautiful views of nature in pairs with really good narration brings amazing feelings. Marvelous jewel in endless youtube mess ;) ps. I feel sorry for people living in big cities, participating in rat race, always in hurry and trying to chase their happiness by purchasing everything with hard earned money and by showing in social networks how successful and good they are.
You can't beat the beauty and splendor of nature. This man does a wonderful job of keeping it crystal clear and marvelously simple. Slim has a special way with a camera and with words that very few channels have. You are right.
Whenever I listen to your videos another narrator comes to mind, Tom Bodett. I almost expect you to end with " We'll leave the light on for you". Great peaceful video as always.
I love traveling with you Slim! Reminds me of growing up when my folks watched "On The Road with Charles Kuralt". I was always amazed at the things that were so close but yet so far across the country. My father was an explorer and nature lover. It has never left my soul and I carry the torch now! Thanks again, Mike
Welcome to Oregon, Slim! I hope you went to the Mary Hill museum while you were there. It's a wonderful collection and in such an unusual place! It's often VERY windy along the gorge so batten down your hatches!
Again, this was interesting, informative, fun and beautiful. I have seen wild rose buds and wanted to make tea. I didn’t know it could be this easy. Two boon docking sites close to home (BC) and a vision of what Stonehenge would have looked like in it’s entirety. Thanks to the soldiers❤️.
Another great video with history added. I found myself looking for "Easter Eggs" in the opening minutes, but got over it. Great astrophotography. Thanks, Slim!
Wonderful video, this one is going on my bucket list for sure. It was nice seeing the snow but I'm pretty sure I'd be out of there too. PS ... LOVED the tree you parked under, perfect for Halloween time. Take care and thanks for all the fall colors.
I love your videos for many reasons, but the fact that you are an original tops the list. You motivate me to not only continue to explore the natural beauty around us, but to follow my own trail rather than follow the sheep. Keep 'em coming, SP, and keep on hyking!
I've driven through the gorge hundreds of times in my life (I live in Portland), and the Stonehenge is one of my favorite stopping points. Hopefully you get to explore more of Oregon.
Slim you make me wish and hope i can be as free as you are one day. Been a subscriber since 8000 subscribers and its been an awesome journey. Love to see the #s climb and see the people appreciate what you do
Hi tnxjesus. The numbers don't mean much, it's the people that watch my videos that matter. Always gives me a boost when they show their appreciation. Thanks! SP
@@SlimPotatohead reasons like that. (The comment you sent me) is exactly why youre so appreciated. I was wondering if you had any plans to boondock the upper peninsula of michigan one day. That is a video i hope to one day see.
Loved watching you forage and make tea. Ive done this with enjoyment too. Then touching on things like the stone henge monument was very interesting too. The blue enameled pot was a treat to see as i used to have a camp coffee pot like that.
Thank you for giving Washington State some love. I live in Southwest Washington in Little town called Winlock, about 3 miles west of I-5. You Sir , are living the dream. I wish you many happy trails. 🙏💗🏕
Can't believe you made it to my great state of Washington, more surprised you made it to our Stonehenge, and most surprised you did at the exact time we were having one of the rarest snows that I can remember (in my 45yrs.) snow in September. Love the show, keep em coming!
"The matured fruit of the wild rose..." - nice prose for rosehips. Yes, they make great tea but even better jam. For the kids: dry the seeds and shove them under that class bullies shirt - makes for a real itchy day - LOL. I had to collect tons of those as a kid to make jam for the winter., but then back in the day they grew plentiful in the hedges between fields (yes, the hedges long since gone due to industrialized agriculture). As usual an excellent video.
My favorite part of Oregon is in the Blue Mountains near a town called Enterprise. Was last there about 40 years ago and hope to make it back there again next summer. Thanks for reminding me of what I am missing. Have a safe trip
I truly love your videos there was a time in my life I travel backroad of America which is truly beautiful would love to start fresh with a Camper like yours maybe one day God will grant me one thx for posting!!
Actually the WWI memorial in Kansas City Mo. broke ground in 1921 and was finished Nov. 11 1926, 3 years earlier. I absolutely LOVE all your videos, Slim. This one is right up there.
Wow. Another great and inspiring video. I SO want to do what you do. Even with all of its trials and tribulations it still sounds like a great life. Thanks always for sharing your travels with us. I cannot wait for the next one. Cheers!
I’ve been COUNTING on great videos from you for NUMBER of weeks now. In addition to being beautiful and inspiring (as usual) this one also came right on TIME. Keep up the good work.
I love your videos. I have no means to duplicate your amazing adventure so watching it with envy is the only option for me. Every time I get to see your video, it's as if I am there as well. Kind of like a mini-vacation with my imagination. Thank you! Oh by the way, in the spirit of Halloween, have you ever had any spooky nights? Being alone out there may some times be spooky I'm sure.
Good question. I'm watching to see "what" Slim has to say. Slim needs to surprise us with a Halloween "Trick or Treat" video, however, being from Canada, Slim may not even know about Halloween.
Oh my. I lived in WA for 11 years and NEVER knew about this Stonehenge replica. Amazing. Thanks for yet another history (and geography) lesson, SP! 👍👍. (I added an avocado to my lunch soup today, it tastes great).
Another great video Slim! Thank you. The cinematography was exceptional. I used to think UA-cam was on it’s way out but seeing your videos remind me of why became such a huge fan in the first place. Keep up the great work and I thank you for it. It is immensely appreciated. 🙏 Fellow Albertan, Jeremy.
Thank you for another beautiful and informative video. I have just taken delivery of an Aliner Ranger 12. Will be making a short trip in it soon to get the feel of it and what I will need in supplies. Thanks again.
I've read & "liked" many of the replies, prior to mine. I especially like you saying the names of shrubs/trees/vegetation you see, are around, & photographing. I have the same blue speckled pot & think I'm noticing you wearing a new jacket. I've never thought to add Avacado to noodle soup, will have to try it. I often add chopped up baby spinach to chicken noodle soup. I would have used a rope & a trucker's hitch in lieu of those tie-down straps. You do know how to tie a trucker's hitch, don't you? Each time I see you towing your ALiner I think of that Dexter 3,500# torsion bar axle I remember you having installed as a replacement axle. The starry night sky is crystal clear & part of what makes your videos so enjoyable.
Welcome to my neck of the woods, Slim. I live only a couple of hours west of Stonehenge. We had a total solar eclipse here, in 79', and that place drew a lot of people, when it happened. I still remember watching about it, on TV. By the way, Sam Hill is also responsible for the Peace Arch at the US-Canadian Border, at Blaine, Washington and White Rock, British Columbia.
Another excellent video Slim. Beautiful scenery and you can't beat your photography. Those berries are liked by a number of wild animals, to include bears. I see you didn't have your trusty bear spray canister with you. We like to pack a variety of freeze dry hiker meals for those rainy and miserable days. Really like that directional antenna arrangement, but given we have space limitations as well, we might opt for the flat antenna - make it easier to pack. Stay safe
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the Stonehenge Memorial at Maryhill, Washington, and the fall colors featured in this video. Beyond the enjoyable viewer-oriented content of your presentations, Slim, it is rewarding to observe the relationship between you and Abner. He provides privacy, comfort, and protection from the elements in return for your expenditure of time, energy, effort, and funds to maintain and sometimes improve his physical condition. Well done!
You're close in my neck of the woods. More than likely too late; but not far from the Stonehenge replica is Goldendale. a very large telescope observatory that you can see a lot of stars & planets at night. I use to take a Boy Scout Troop up there and the guy running it would put on a good show and let all the boys take a look.
The "plink, plink plink" of the rose hips going into the cup is pure music.
One thing is for sure: Beautiful things become more beautiful when shared. Thanks again for a great video.

That rosehip asmr. The satisfying snap of the pull and the tinny clink when the bud hits the cup.

Beautiful shots. Reminds me, I need to get a book on plant identification. I fear the pictures on the tea box won't help.
