MasterKcoop the star was fans hate him because the guy doesn’t look like a nerd. The could fantasize being like Luke because he was nerdy and loved him. Hayden looked good and the nerds hated him for it.
He is a good actor and so were most other people in the prequels, it was just the way George Lucas did everything as in the dialogue, passing and flow of the movies, the story etc.
The story about the little boy who played Ani always saddens me, he did the role really good. Giving him the innonce of a child together with frustration that could grow into anger later in life. Ppl putting him down for it was plain cruel. The plot could always have been differently if you’d want it, but the boy was good.
Hayden was a very good actor (in his other movies). I found his acting as Anakin okay, sometimes it was a bit creepy but I think he deserves another chance. He could've done better however I think poor directing was the blame. If Anakin could come back as a force Ghost In this new trilogy, it would be the best way of redemption.
Yeah. I agree. I think his bad performance had a lot more to do with the way he was directed by Lucas and the lines he was given than his actual acting ability.
Foxynator YT The first actor, Jake Lloyd, was little Anakin in the first prequel, The Phantom Menace. Hayden was Anakin, and then Vader at the end, in the next two, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
Eriks Kigelis Aaaaaaactually..... more jedi than Obi Wan and Yoda survived Order 66, and on the sith side Darth Maul was still alive until Obi Wan was an old man
Strange to quit after pay cut? You work for 25 years and then u get your pay cut in half, cuz of greedy ass management and studio WTF is so strange about wanting to quit?
Not to mention he was one of the voice actors that did multiple characters on that show, getting your per-episode pay nearly chopped in half for those folks was probably an insult.
I understand him wanting to quit because yes, this does feel like an insult, but with regards to money: How much money can a person need? It's one thing if you need to support your family, but quite another if you've already got money to buy your family anything they may need many times over. The show made him famous, no? Thers is this thing called gratitude.
@@TheMikadoOfLondon He already was famous, as he was part of a little band called Spinal Tap and had been acting for some time. This role, much like that of the late Marcia Wallace, just brought him to a younger audience.
You know Hollywood is preparing everyone for Hayden Christensen's comeback to the Star Wars franchise with the explosion of promotion material lately. I loved his performance in Episode 3: Revenge of The Sith and can't wait to see him return!
Hayden isn't that bad of an actor as he is currently acting in a new film with Bruce Willis in. He was great at being Anakin but I do blame Lucas for not letting the actors express themselves in their characters. He also failed to explain why the Jedi put aside a good majority of their emotions.
How was Hayden Christensen's acting in Revenge of the Sith any worse than Samuel L Jackson's performance or Ewan McGregor's performance in that movie? Samuel L Jackson and Ewan McGregor are both considered great actors and yet their acting in Revenge of the Sith was just as wooden and flat as Hayden Christensen's acting was
I always felt that Ewan McGregor was the saving grace of the prequels. But I do agree with your point. Look at how flat Natalie Portman came off as! And she's a great actress.
In the old DVD's extras, they say that THE PRODUCERS removed JCVD mid-filming beause the predator he was impersonating wasn't as menacing as the new one created later (the one we all know). So a bigger guy in the new, taller, scary costume, was set to play the part.
Omar Sharif is unnecessarily critical of THE 13TH WARRIOR. It's a Michael Crichton interpretation of the classic Beowulf saga. As a straight up costume-action film, it's perfectly fine. A decent array of characters. Nice plot twist. And a few good jump scares. The lighter "joke" moments were enjoyable enough, but did suggest a conflict in style. Within that, there's some very nice storytelling, and you can't fault Vladimir Kulich as Buliwyf. Whatever issues Sharif might have had behind the scenes, it was unprofessional of him to trash the film in order to "save face".
Christensen wasn't to blame for the horrible 1,2 and 3 episodes...His acting was not that bad at all--it was the writing that sucked hardcore. What kind of half-ass writers came up with lines like, 'From my point of view, the Jedi are evil' or virtually any line from Jar Jar Binks...or, the character itself.
He quite acting to be a stay home dad after his wife lost her battle with breast cancer. uproxx.com/tv/rick-moranis-the-best-celebrity-dad-of-all-time-opens-up-about-his-retirement-from-acting/
Loved the movie man but, not a remake but a sequel where he bequeaths his sword to his daughter and she stops Ragnarok plastered off honey liquor. YEAH! :P
Sean Connery. The man is an amazing actor, but walked away from it after League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was slammed (which I still don't understand; it was an awesome movie!).
a lot of people don’t like hayden because of his performance in star wars, i think he played anakin perfectly. But hayden has been in many other movies that aren’t as successful as star wars but he is so amazing in. Hayden is a great actor when it comes to emotion and facial expression. He wont speak but through his emotions you can tell how he feels and that’s something a lot of actors lack. He’s an amazing actor and I think he stayed in hollywood he would’ve gone a long way.
Hayden Christensen got a lot of crap for his portrayal of Anakin, but he's actually a _very_ good actor. He's just one who has to be paired with a good director who will actually. . . well. . . direct him.
he's alright, did some decent acting in "Life as a house" with Kevin Kline. And I kinda liked "Jumper" for what it was, pity there wasn't a sequel. I've heard it would have involved time travel.
Actually I do not agree that the "The 13th Warrior" was so bad. Although I admit I like the viking themed movies, this one had some really nice moments, like the fire serpent.
Nah, the Simpsons guy wasn't actually going to quit. He just wanted his old pay back so he threatened to quit because he knew he would win. its called leverage. he knew that far into the show they couldn't loose him when he did that many voices. I bet it didn't even take two months for the studio to give into his demands but they just publicly said it did to save face.
For the record: bullying should not lead one to change one's ambition. I was constantly teased in school (yup that can happen even if you have never been in a Star Wars film) but it never influenced my life choices, why should it? I was an arrogant child to be fair, more prepared to believe I was right and everyone else was wrong (which was true speaking as an adult reflecting). But I think all children should be so arrogant and be very careful who's thoughts they value. Even 'friends' can want you to fall to make themselves feel bigger.
I actually liked Hayden Christensen. Seems like a cool guy....that is all.
MasterKcoop the star was fans hate him because the guy doesn’t look like a nerd. The could fantasize being like Luke because he was nerdy and loved him. Hayden looked good and the nerds hated him for it.
Actually, Hayden Did a really great job acting.
did anyone brush over the fact that there's an entire video upon here that literally explains why?
i never saw the problem with hayden in star wars. I thought he played the roll fine
He is a good actor and so were most other people in the prequels, it was just the way George Lucas did everything as in the dialogue, passing and flow of the movies, the story etc.
TimeLordofGaming o
idk why people whine about them that much, they just as good as the OT if not better
Great actor that played the roll of the character you constantly wanted punch in the face
StraightOuttaSlothton Wait he played Jar Jar too? Huh you learn something new everyday.
He managed to kiss Natalie Portman, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, worth.
Nintendork thor laughs in asgardian way
he got all up in her wormhole if you catch my drift

Yeah. I agree. I think his bad performance had a lot more to do with the way he was directed by Lucas and the lines he was given than his actual acting ability.
Prototype
It was creepy because that was Anakins personality. I guess it was because he was madly in love with Pádme.
Prototype o
He is FAR better as Darth Vader
what people forget is that anakin was an awkward person in general, when it came to love and all that bullshit
If Hayden doesn't return in Episode 8 or 9 then I'm actually going to cry.
A-Ryan he overestimated his power...
better get crying then xD they will avoid like 99% of the prequels at all costs lol
Jax Dagger not in the TV shows, comics, and videogames... movies yes.
Jax Dagger Um no. Rogue One is clear evidence to the contrary.
There's just no place for him in Episode 9.
I'll admit. I actually like Hayden.
I also like how he plays small roles since he doesn't want star wars to be his acting cow. He likes to work hard. I admire that in a person
NET Alliance sup net
But he doesn't have the high ground...
Hey Tie
NET Alliance what's good net, I watch ur vidd
Hayden was epic in revenge of this sith
Troll God I don't think he was in that he was in the phantom menace I think
Troll God everyone Here doesnt give a damn about the other boi's, 'cept Hayden Christiansen

Foxynator YT The first actor, Jake Lloyd, was little Anakin in the first prequel, The Phantom Menace. Hayden was Anakin, and then Vader at the end, in the next two, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
Naw it was into darkness he was in
I heard that Hayden Christensen might make an appearance in Star Wars episode VIII as a force ghost
I hope not a force ghost a flash back would be better.
I honestly would like to see Hayden come back as a force ghost I liked him as Anakin
Not possible. Disney forbade writers to bring up the prequels in any way.... Too risky
your father they have brought up the prequels already lol they are canon lol
Have u seen Rogue One?
Anikin, you were supposed to bring balance to the force.
I did there are now only 2 sith and 2 jedi
Eriks Kigelis lol i thought i was the only one that looked at it like that :p
Eriks Kigelis mind blown
Eriks Kigelis Aaaaaaactually..... more jedi than Obi Wan and Yoda survived Order 66, and on the sith side Darth Maul was still alive until Obi Wan was an old man
Actually there are 2 Jedi and 1 Sith. Kylo is a Knight of Ren, not a Sith. Snoke is the last Sith, Luke and Rey are the last Jedi.
He's talking about the original trilogy. Yoda and Obi-Wan and Palpatine and Vader.
I did like Hayden Christensen in The Revenge of The Sith
Hayden Christensen had the mean to become a good/great actor, but his reasons plus the so-so script for Anakin didn't really helped him tho...
Megatronus Prime I liked him in Jumper
ravager48 I did too

Me too
I actually loved Hayden Christiansens portrayal of anikin Skywalker

Obi-Wan Kenobi
Hello there
Obi-Wan Kenobi do you have the high ground?
Obi-Wan Kenobi what a happy landing
He says: Another happy landing. And strokes his hair.
Man I wish Hayden Christensen would do bigger roles! I love his movie Jumper. So good! If u havent seen it, see it now!
I see Hayden Christensen I click 😍😍
Why?

Brad Nichelson cause she moist for him Bro lol

I see Star Wars I click 👌🏻

He was meant to come back as a force ghost but disney didn't want to risk it... well...
Dammit Hayden, YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!!!!
hayden christensen in revenge of the sith was great. Ep2 obviously not...poor jake loyld
He's GREAT in "Shattered Glass".
he was better in return of the Jedi
^^^ Please stop lmfao
I agree. Still my favorite Star Wars film.
Shattered Glass was excellent.
People build their lives around their incomes - a cut in half is enough to rightfully piss anyone off.
Haydens story is actually kinda sad but in a nice way
how so ? he has a happy family
fusiontoa18 he did it because star wars fans hated him
Fans? I meant cunts
fOrTnItE pErSaNo I agree
Hayden did it not just the men..., BUT THE WOMEN AND CHILDREN, TOO!
That's because "YOU TURNED HER AGAINST ME !"
TamMyBoy Do you know how jokes work? That doesn't make sense.
TamMyBoy I did.
Hayden isn't that bad of an actor as he is currently acting in a new film with Bruce Willis in. He was great at being Anakin but I do blame Lucas for not letting the actors express themselves in their characters. He also failed to explain why the Jedi put aside a good majority of their emotions.

I love the Star Wars prequel films. Bite me.
gifty sands I don't bite, bro. Have your girlfriend to that.
The Phantom Menace is one of my favorites, actually. I also like Attack of The Clones, and I LOVE Revenge of The Sith.
I like the sequel trilogy, because it makes the prequels look good
As did i
Dude, its k,
Lucas fucked up the prequels and the fans lynched hayden and loyd , too bad for those guys , but i really liked hayden
opium177 come on, Deez preqs arent dat Bad, Darth Maul and Count Dooku Where awesome
people never say what made the prequels bad they just say they're bad... and that's the reason the last jedi is terrible today
Sunirè Scott yep the SJW Jedi
The movie is "Her"
Moreira 99 that was my guess too
Moreira 99 me too i didnt even watch the movie
Me neither LOL
Moreira 99 How was anyone ever ment to guess that from those pictures?!?
Colby S I subbed to u
Hayden is a great actor.
haha. I get the sarcasm.
Hayden Christensen he did quit for that reason but he also quit for other reasons he didn't like being in Hollywood
How was Hayden Christensen's acting in Revenge of the Sith any worse than Samuel L Jackson's performance or Ewan McGregor's performance in that movie?
Samuel L Jackson and Ewan McGregor are both considered great actors and yet their acting in Revenge of the Sith was just as wooden and flat as Hayden Christensen's acting was
Everyone's performance there ranged from bad to mildly bad...
I always felt that Ewan McGregor was the saving grace of the prequels. But I do agree with your point. Look at how flat Natalie Portman came off as! And she's a great actress.
Theo Local Loner Ewan MacGregor's performance was the best part of the prequels, but I do agree with the Samuel L. Jackson part.
I feel like Lucas tried to make the Jedi characters emotionless because that is what Jedi are raised to be like but Lucas failed at explaining it.
it actually comes up pretty often that jedi were/are supposed to set all emotion aside. even more so in the animated series.
You do see Kevin Peter Hall's face in the Predator - He's the helicopter pilot at the end. ;)
In the old DVD's extras, they say that THE PRODUCERS removed JCVD mid-filming beause the predator he was impersonating wasn't as menacing as the new one created later (the one we all know). So a bigger guy in the new, taller, scary costume, was set to play the part.
What's that got to with seeing Kevin Peter Hall's face? :s
Respect for Hayden man, good guy.
Anakin Skywalker, dispite being one of cinemas great characters, (at least the Darth Vader part) has never once been kind to actors.
So Hayden Christensen is actually a pretty swell dude. I dig it. And his Anakin wasn’t that bad either
Hayden Christensen comes into where I work sometimes. Seems like a decent dude.
I'll be disappointed if Hayden isn't in Episode VIII as the force ghost of Anakin.
Josh Siegel well
....
I wanted him to be in it so bad!
AnakinLover well be glad he isn't in the movie trilogy that you all don't like
Hayden was good it was the dialogue that was horrible
Hayden Christensen also did a movie called Awake-and he brought me to tears in it.
am I the only one who clicked cause of anakin
the chosen one nope that's why I'm here
Ace Snipes no I did
Whiskey Angels ME I DID! thought I was the only one😂😁😀
7:08 Is why you are here .
You're welcome .
That put a smile on my face =)
wut?
Joker thx

Personally, I would think Rick Moranis, who retired to raise his children after his wife died, would be worth mentioning.
I really respect Hayden for that. He seems to be a really cool, humble guy and a great father. I wish more Hollywood actors were like him!
Hayden did say he was willing to play Anakin again in an interview.
I like Hayden when he says nothing and looks itimading
he never looks intimidating xD he just looks like he is sulking
I actually thought Jake Lloyd was a pretty good actor.
Fight me.
Also it's terrible that other kids were making fun of him for being in Star Wars. They were clearly jealous.
I like how both anakins quit lol.
Aurora Pax darth vader's actor quit to 😂
Aurora Pax Now there's only Luke
The anakin skywalker curse
The dark side is too powerful
Jesus Christ Or too many Star Wars fans can be raging pricks......honestly, I'm just going for that.
How do you leave Rick Moranis off this list?
Exactly. Child actors that bail on acting are a dime a dozen, but Rick Moranis has a fascinating story.
It would mean the world to us Star Wars fans if Hayden would appear in Last Jedi at least as a force ghost. We can all die in peace if he does.
WHO LOVE ANAKIN
It's a shame Hayden quit... his performance in Life As A House was one of the best I've ever seen!
Wasn't the movie Jumper from 2008 Hayden Christensen last big role? Also, he's been in 13 movies since Star Wars.
I am on the list
We also hate sand!
NO WAY - Hayden Christensen was in a show in 2000 called... "HIGHER GROUNDS"
ShowALK32 CONVENIENT
Jake Loyd? He was SO PRECIOUS as Anakin! It breaks my heart that he was bullied as a KID.
Too bad about Omar. 13th Warrior was a really good film.
i actually liked the thirteenth warrior.
It's a classic.
I can understand Omar Sharif hating it because the production was a mess. But I really liked it too :) Not many people saw it back in the day.
Arne Mortensen I liked it but then again I was.. 11 when I saw it. I should probably rewatch it x)
I saw it in the theater, still like it today. Sounds like he was more complaining that it wasn't like an Oscar worthy film or a complex role.
Makes me wonder what Omar Sharif thought of Hidalgo.
Which is also a great movie.

Toby Maguire has been forgotten about ever since he left the role of Spider Man.
Who?
I'm actually rather surprised by Hayden's reason for leaving Hollywood. I have a little more respect for him

Title doesn't match video at all.
Right? Not at all.
I kept waiting for Rick Moranis to pop up he was in like everything in the 80's.
The movie is Cory in the house🙎🏾♂️
these "wait to the end tactics" are demeaning
Seen Hayden and never clicked so fast
Hayden Christensen got a lot of crap for his portrayal of Anakin, but he's actually a _very_ good actor. He's just one who has to be paired with a good director who will actually. . . well. . . direct him.
He have up for getting 250k an episode? That's more than some people make in a year!
Correction. That is more than practically everyone make in a year.
Penelope Views a star wars episode is twice the length of a avg movie which is 90 minutes
That's almost 7 times what I make in a year
You make it sound like Lloyd and Hayden actually had some choice in the matter. Its tiring running from torches and pitchforks
He quit because obi wan had the high ground
he's alright, did some decent acting in "Life as a house" with Kevin Kline.
And I kinda liked "Jumper" for what it was, pity there wasn't a sequel.
I've heard it would have involved time travel.
Star Wars will either make you or break you
Hayden Christensen is amazing and did a great job as Anakin Skywalker
Taylor Momsen is pretty freaking epic. Also all of these are completely understandable EXCEPT for Chevy Chase and the prick who plays Mr. Burns.
I just clicked this to see if Hayden Christenson quit acting and took up blowing bubbles.
I thought Hayden played great as Anakin
Actually I do not agree that the "The 13th Warrior" was so bad. Although I admit I like the viking themed movies, this one had some really nice moments, like the fire serpent.
Rick Moranis quit acting
Yes his wife became very I'll and subsequently died leaving him to raise their child
Nah, the Simpsons guy wasn't actually going to quit. He just wanted his old pay back so he threatened to quit because he knew he would win. its called leverage. he knew that far into the show they couldn't loose him when he did that many voices. No Rick Moranis?
I loved Hayden in Jumper ❤️
i love 13th warrior
I really love the fact that everyone here loves hayden Christensen please come back to us!
i like cheese
Here's an actor you should look at
Sean connery, and the movie that made him quit:
The league of extraordinary gentleman
I just wish he acted like the anikin in the clone wars... thanx Lucas.....
Jack Gleeson quit acting after his role as Joffrey on GoT.
Honestly shocked you DIDN'T put that in there.
I know of an actor that needs to quit acting all together Nicholas cage
Man I really enjoyed Jumper. It still is one of my favorite movies to this day
you have to do a top 10 facts about scarlet wich
