My bobbles popped to the front so I didn't need to turn it inside out. just did one for a friend about to do another for my niece. So happy with this tutorial thank you
You are the best in explaining all of your crochet projects! I've done the Christmas Dog Stocking following your tutorial and it's fantastic. Given many as gifts and doggy mom's love it! Can't wait to do this cocoon with you! Thank you!
Hey hello, I just subscribed to your channel and so far..... I'm totally excited. I love how u tutorialize (lol) if that's even a word!..... us!..... I know I'm goin to have a blast completing your patterns. And welcome to my world!!!!....
I love this and going to be busy here starting today making ideams for my first born grandchild coming in August....think it's a boy but not 100% sure.
It looks like you switched directions right before 9 minutes and 40 seconds. Up until that point, it seemed as if you were working from the “top” of your project, going left, and then right around the 9:40 mark, you started working at the “bottom” of your project but still going left. Did you by chance turn your project inside out at the end of either the last “growth” round or after the first “texture” round? I didn’t see anything in the video or instructions to indicate that, but something is different and I can’t put my finger on it lol. I’m wondering if this is why so many of us have our bobbles popping on the outside, rather than inside - because we missed a step and didn’t turn out work out before starting the texture rounds. When I was crocheting, I was holding the project in a way where the opening/pouch/hole where the baby goes in is facing toward me. When you started your texture round, it looked like the cocoon opening was facing away from you. I hope my question/description of the differences makes sense lol. Also thanks for posting this video! Great explanations!
Good day. Having a little difficulty identifying the stitch for the half after the bubble row. Can you please tell me how many single crochet stitches there should be to help me identify them going forward? Thank you.
This pattern is so beautiful. If I used bernet blanket tiny or a worsted yarn, I would have to increase stitches? I know it says hook to obtain gauge but my brain is on pause and I know you've taught us how to obtain before but I have forgotten. How would I make this with smaller yarn?
this is adorable! I think I missed a step..to end up with bobbles on the right side I turned it before I started the pattern with the bobbles so it would be on the right side of my work.
So I’m using the baby Bernat yarn and the correct hook size. I’m at the seventh row of bobbles and it’s looking like it’s going to be a bit too long for a baby? Haven’t measured it yet but it’s just looking like eleven rows will be too long. I’m making it for my newborn to use from the beginning and as long as possible after, but I don’t want him swimming in it in the beginning. Can I adjust the amount of rows to my preference or am I judging it too soon?
Bernat says the finished length should be 21 inches which if you exclude the baby's head would be probably 5-6 inches longer than the length of the body from the shoulder to the feet giving room to grow. You can always roll the top down to make it more snug and let it out as he/she grows in length.
I'm a granny again and I'm going to have a good time crocheting stuff for my newest baby girls baby girl... thanks for your tutorial......
Loved this Michael! Thank you!

This tutorial can’t wait to do more! I wish I could post a photo of how it came out..
Wish you could say how many stitches after each round. I'm a beginner and I'm on row seven and it's still flat. Can't figure what I'm doing wrong😊
Great pattern and project. Mine turned out awesome! Thank you
I'm going to be a great grandmother I'm going to make this.Good job

Thank you for this video! I do not have a baby (yet) but I am excited to try this. It would make a great present as well!
I’m using a size 4 yarn. Do you have measurements for different yarn sizes please
Hi...
What should b lenght and circumference for 3 to 6 months baby??

Hi Mikey
This pattern is beautiful. Thanks so much have a blessed day and happy holidays!
Oops also I'm using a bernat wool super bulky polyester if that makes a difference
Love it....thank you!
Question....why is the video pink? Has a dark pink tint to it. Video looking dark.
How can I adjust the size for a one year old baby
Need some advice
Love it! Thanks Mikey :-)
Butiful
Thanks.

Can you make this in an adult size?

Annette R you could hold 2 strands together and get a chunky/ bulky yarn. I use this method a lot. Much more affordable
Could this pattern be done using double crochet instead and if so will this use less yarn because i wouldnt need as many rows?
I am not sure how it would change with the bobbles but I have made several baby cocoons and usually use double crochet, so it would be possible.
@@crysjlmt would this pattern worj with #4 yarn?

Can you do this with a worsted weight or does it have to be that chunky?
It seems like row 7 of the hood was missed?
thank you so much for this!!!
Bonito gracias caballero
You're welcome.
Loved it! Thank you.
My bobbles don't pop out when I make them. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?
No wonder my bubbles didn't show. You have to turn it inside out. Thank you for the information, very helpful.
How much yarn would used to make it for 6-12 months baby and the size of the hook to be used?
Is this pattern for a newborn? I really Like this pattern.
I believe so. The free pattern is linked in the video description to check more about it out if you wish.

My coccoon comes out so large and I don't know why. It looks more like a toddler sleeping bag.
Awesome
Lindo. Preciso de um curso de inglês urgentemente. 😣

So satisfying but not for a beginner like me ☹
Tq...love it
Wowwww very nice
interesting project
I’m thinking about how can I put the baby in ...
I have made tons of cocoons and when I put baby in them I scrunch it up like you would a sock and slip it up their body with the baby laying down
Start with the feet. lol
K am gonna try this one out with a thinner yarn
Good luck. :D
Very nice. What about double crochet????? Would this work?
For sure... you just need less rows as the stitch will be higher.
Can you use. 4 ply yarn tia?
I was wondering this as well did u try it?
Helpppppp. How many stitches should I have when doing the half double crochet row. Please. I am doing this for July 28 2018
60 based on the 3 of stitches in row 6 of the round
60 based on the # of stitches in row 6 (the last row) of the round ... sorry for the typo above

Gonna make one of these for myself to cuddle in lol 😆
We have adult Snuggle Sacks if that's your jam.
@@TheCrochetCrowd heck yeah! 😂
Omg lol, is your sample the Bernat brights? It's exactly same color/skeins I was going to use. 😆 Now I know how it will look.
Yes, I believe so.
