When you put the wig on at first i was like 😬😬😬 "that thing looks busted" 😂 but after you used your tools on it, "perfection. Looks like your real hair!" I'm thinking about shaving my head today, and your videos are really convincing me to just go ahead with it! Its not like it won't grow back and continue to be the bane of my existence if i dont like it shaved.

I shave my head too, it makes wearing wigs so much easier. I have been growing out my bio-hair and trying toppers, it takes about 2yrs to grow out to shoulder length 😅

I think you suit darker hair. I've been thinking about getting a fringe too :)

Hello, can I ask you if you noticed drastic hair texture change before your hair loss?

    • @BeckyBlondie
      @BeckyBlondie  9 місяців тому +1

Hi good question! I didn't notice too much change in the texture until it progressed quite a bit. It started to become very brittle as it worsened.
Before my hair loss I had very fine textured hair anyway, a lot of hair, but the individual strands were thin

Thank you so much for replying.
I'm much older you than you are Becky, but like you had, I too had always had very dense but very fine hair. So dense that I often used thinning shears to debulk it - definitely not any more though.
I've been having problems with my hair since May of this year. It was very long but now it's very short, very dry, frizzy, lank & completely unmanageable.
The texture of my hair has changed dramatically, so much so that it doesn't feel like my hair anymore, it feels synthetic, infact, the last hairdresser who cut it said it looked & behaved like a wig because it's so lifeless.
A trichologist told me I have telegon effluvium but she couldn't explain the drastic texture change.
She was useless to be perfectly honest.
I'm also experiencing a burning sensation on my scalp & wondered if that's a regular thing with hair loss.
My hair has a kind of soapy feel to it but it's not shampoo. My scalp feels dry but my roots feel kind of waxy, and my ends are just frizzy, no elacisity either.
I've been looking at wigs on the simply wigs website but don't know where to start or how a wig will feel with my unruly dry, frizzy hair underneath it.
I think you're an incredibly brave, strong & kind hearted young woman making yt content to help others. 💖

      Thank you that's really kind.
I also used to experience a very sensitive always painful scalp, but after I shaved my hair off that went away. I think there was so much tension on my head because there wasn't much of it!
That's an interesting diagnosis I will look into that.
I'd say if you are new to wigs and scared to try them, or not knowing where to start, just get some cheaper options of different types of caps (I'm hoping to make a video soon on different caps) and wear them about the house see how you feel.
It can be uncomfortable having hair under a wig, can get hot or itchy, like wearing a hat all day so it's something to get used to!
I feel more comfortable not having hair underneath now. But I also would say that the feeling slightly itchy or hot is so much better than being self conscious of what your bio hair looks like!
Let me know if there's any videos you'd find helpful that I could film 💕💕
