You're totally right! Cat food and dog food these days is purely commercial: just like all of the human junk food, there's almost nothing but crap in our dog's and cat's food! Unfortunately, the healthier alternative is SO expensive! I've seen a documentary about pet food and boy, it shocked me! There's nothing good about it at all: it's just animal waste from the slaughter house that's in the cat and dog food!

I think they said it to get you upset. Anyone can tell that you love Lookie and would be pissed. Feed the bird raw mice, one day old chicks, ect. Let them eat the cat food, hahahaha!
hello I live in southern California Moreno valley I try to water and feed all the animals I can during this sever drought well never in my life have I ever seen a owl only heard them talking back and forth well lately there is a big owl that doesn't fly away while I walk underneath him. it's been twice that he did not fly away and even flew so close I.
dove for the ground only to see him flying away it seemed on purpose so perhaps he has a sence of humor. ok this owl is big maybe he has spiked ears Im not sure but he screeches alot here my question how can I get food to him should I but store bought mice on plate on roof of my house I feed and water wild bunnies and squirrels but not sure how much this helps him.shoule I just leave it alone.

im feeding my barn owl raw chicken breast since 7 weeks ans she is healthy giving it calcium sup but true cant eat cat food i tried once it didnt diggest but now i will bring it small chicks or rats thank you

salami and fruit are not canned cat food !!!!
by the way cats also eat mice and birds ... but they dont die from eating chicken and rabbit from can food !!!
so giving an owl rabbit from a can its not so much difference like giving an whole rabbit
nobody keeping cats is giving them mice ... so why can cat food like rabbits should not be ok for an owl ?
Wow VH why would anyone think to feed cat food to an owl in the first place? Reminds me of couple vegetarians I heard of that only fed their dog fruit and vegetables. I have heard of raw beef heart being cut up into small chunks for falconry bait but rodents, chicks, quail and any natural meat is what their diet requires. Good Grief!!!
