Congratulations, young man!!! I was the 1st Black woman to earn a chemical engineering degree from Johns Hopkins. I have long locs. I went to an alumni event once and the white lady at registration said, "You don't look like an engineer." I'm not sure what she meant - was it because I'm a woman, because I'm African American, because I have locs, because she thought I didn't look "nerdy"??? Now, my nephew who went to MIT is an aerospace engineer and a pilot with the Air Force Reserves!! So proud!! Black men are great pilots, Charlie Kirk!!

But what matters much more is whether he's a decent person, and he seems to be. He also seems to be productive. Decent people need to work together to improve our society, regardless of religious beliefs or lack thereof, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, hair color, shoe size, music preferences, etc. It's a huge mistake to get too caught up on things that don't matter much (if at all).

Tyrone! Congratulations! My brother is the Lunar Lander Integration Lead at NASA in KSC in FL. His name is Danny Zeno. I am a former educator soon to become acupuncturist. We both grew up between Brooklyn, NY and Puerto Rico and we definitely know EBT, WIC, free cheese etc etc. Our dad was a heroin addict and he died of AIDS at the age of 37, but our mom did a hell of a job raising us and instilling the value of education. Hence, sky is not even the limit cause y’all go beyond the sky into space! Congratulations 🎊🎉🎈🍾!!!!! Praise God!

I e had patients tell me to my face that they “didn’t want no nig*er anesthesiologist”, and that was in a county hospital in San José, California, not the ‘usual suspects’ of Alabama, Mississippi, or elsewhere in The South.
