Just bought the hard top rolling back on ACME tools website for $170.00 after tax. Best money I've ever spent. I used to have the Klein backpack and it had a TON of pockets and I was able to put all my tools in it in a very organized way. But... Over time I kept adding tools to it and now its just way to heavy to carry around, plus there's no more room for any more tools. ( I will say that I do 100% recommend that backpack, its #1 on my list for a non rolling tool bag. Nothing beats it imo). Anyways, I took the risk and spent $170 on the hard top Milwaukee rolling bag. Through pictures and videos it didn't seam like it had more pockets than that backpack, but I was pleasantly surprised it actually carries a fair amount more tools than the backpack did. I really didn't think it would, but this rolling bag is deceiving, it holds all my tools and I actually have some extra pockets left over, and I have a lot of tools lol. There's maybe one or 2 things I'd change about the rolling bag but I have to give it a 10/10, it is hands down the best tool bag out on the market, I can confidently say this. Klein makes one that is very similar but this one has the hardtop which is amazing, plus it came out years after the Klein one came out so its a newer version basically. Defiantly money well spent, and I'm a pretty picky person when it comes to what I buy. Even though there's maybe 1 or 2 things I'd add or change about the bag, hands down it is a 10/10. Good job Milwaukee
this really does seem like Milwaukee listened and added a ton of little features that really make for a great bag. as a theater technician I am always going between theaters. I just wish it was priced in my budget even if it would clash with my teal tools. very cool for sure.
I just bought the 24” hard top, first thing I noticed was the material when closing the bag. The hard top hits the material because the bag widened with about 100 lbs of tools. Second thing I noticed all my tools were covered with dust so it’s not dust proof!!! That’s all carry on...
Bought the 24" today, and just loading my tools in it was amazing. This is gonna save me so much headache! Would've liked to see a way of locking the bag shut, and a method of storing a few benders. I'll fabricate a fix for both, but would be nice to see these on the second edition.
A Concord Carpenter / ToolBoxBuzz He mean electrical EMT conduit pipe benders. Typically us electricians use 1/2 inch 3/4 and 1 inch pipe benders. I could see them lashed down on the top of the hard lid and it would work fine. What a neat bag. It is a true Electrician's made bag. Other trades too but primary use like you mentioned for us electricians.
I have the husky rolling tool bag. 22in for 3 years. Residential maintenance. Tools have not fell out. Has the best pockets. Only complaint is when it rains. Tools on the outside aren't protected
I really like where they are going with it, it would be nice to be able to lock the lid down. add a secure latch somewhere. that way it can sit, maybe not in open utr tay but within your canopy and you can use traditionall bike locks to loop through handles to secure to your ute in someway. or even have it locked on site to a secure pole.
This would be great if you're a local tradesman or technician. I like the larger bag but for a 27 lb bag alone, I will reach the 50 lb check-in limit much faster. The larger bag should also have a latch/hooks for a lock at least.
@@aleonyohan6745 I have the Jensen Rugged Heavy Duty tool case. I like the hard shell and heavy duty latches. I usually check it in weighting ~70 lbs with my airline status. The only downside would be the wheels. I usually replace them every year due to wear. They're like $12 each, x4. But the case has lasted ~9 years now and I use to stand on it, sit on it and place my laptop on it while on a counter top to work on it.
@@JerryRecords thanks I'm going to go check it out. Been thinking about just getting the Milwaukee bottom pack out. Now I have to have more room for a hard hat
This bag is cool and it was free from my employer so it's even better. Only thing I would like to see is a place where I can put a lock on it to keep sticky fingers from getting in the inside.
Hi Rob, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! "2020" I know this is a older video for milwaukee rolling tote bag. This rolling tote would be nice now if the hard top can accept some packout containers. Just my thoughts
I have the 24" hardtop rolling bag. Really have to use these to find out if they are any good. This is an abnormally wide and heavy rolling bag with small wheels and very little ground clearance. Notice the lower square tube of the handle - the bottom of the bag has the same square steel tubing as support. The ends of the handle and lower support drags at times due to the small wheels when going over uneven surfaces. I was thinking how to repaint scraped worn down ends, but will glue some plastic so no damage to surface that I am pulling the bag over. The bag is heavy when empty due to steel and heavy materials, but that should be good. It looks like it should be lighter since plastic top, plastic wheels, and fabric used for bag. Seems very wide when rolling through doorways and down walkways.
This would be perfect for work because I work for ups I go up and down the stairs and I have two igloos rolling coolers and they kept breaking the handle keeps breaking
This video sold me to buy it. Its now discontinued. A month after I bought it. The handle is now broken and replacement part take 3 weeks to arrive. Nice concept but poorly designed. This doesnt deserve "industrial grade". I must say, I like the flares for hanging my coat. But the push button is connected to a very flimsy metal inside that easily bends when pulling the handles upstairs. This has caused the extension handle to lock up.
Great review Rob, gotta throw up a like on that one. Never would have noticed all those details otherwise, is pricey though but being able to get all those miscellaneous tools on the job site consistently and in one piece is tempting.
Do you have a relationship with Milwaukee? Can you ask them if they can make a 42 inch level like crick and Smith levels they are easier to fit into company job boxes , check for yourself 48 inch levels fit at an angle especially when there are other tools in a box, once there are 3 to 5 bricklayer toolbags in a box it's hard to fit any more levels because of their length even a 46 inch level makes more sense . Thanks
Had small and large Husky tool bags. Totaly obuse my large tool bag on daily basis. Also i own Klein rolling tool bag. Nice but way too small. Overall i’ll take large Husky tool bag any day over any other bag
I'm a xray field service engineer. I need something that has more room for the laptop side of things. It needs to be a mobile office and tool bin. Something I can roll through hospitals that looks clean and business like...but can be opened up for repair work when I'm in the room. Does anyone have any ideas?
Pricey yes, but look close at the innovation and improvements they made to it. I look at time and money -- What's it cost to replace a tool bag when it wears out? The time to search for, buy the bag, switching out tools, possible lost tool, etc. The old adage you get what you pay for.
The Husky 18" comes with a 3 year limited warranty, but the Milwaukee 18" comes with a lifetime limited warranty. I've used both, and the Milwaukee is built like a tank compared to the Husky.
I looked it up! I'm not going to spend $200 on a tool bag. F**k No! I'm going for the affordable Husky 22 in. Connect Rolling System Tool Box. I own Milwaukee tool sets but I'm not going to spend my money on an over priced tool bag for it's brand name sake.
How many pounds you think I can add on top of the 18" bag? I have a back pack and wanted to put it on top and take it with me on the train since I don't drive
Ideas * add a magnet for misc screws on top, maybe a small flip table for prints or to place small material? I am trying to sell my husky bag on offer up for this Milwaukee 24"!
i am AV technician and Car Audio technician. I like the idea of all your tools in one place except it gets to heavy to carry around and cumbersome. I prefer smaller bags and separate my heavy tools like drills and chargers to one dedicated bag. I have a second bag for all of my hand tools. i also have 2 separate bags for accessories it works beautiful...
honestly, you pat for what you get. Milwaukee actually used quality materials that will last with joy. Not to say that the Rigid bag is crap, but i can guarantee you that if you compare them side buy side, you will realize that the Milwaukee is much superior in construction and in the use for materials.
I have a husky rolling bag. Its great quality, nice pockets in side out. Good value for the money, but sure the Milwaukee is better but twice the price. I do have the Milwaukee tool box, though, which is heavy duty and far better than most of the other portable tool boxes on the market, but my husky bag is great for smaller everyday jobs.

If you look closely on the back, there are small holes/pockets between the handles to grab bungee hooks and go over to the d-rings on the front.

This must have been pre packout. They certainly nailed the rolling tool storage market after this or beginning with this

They should really consider water proffing. I trave alot and I have no control of what happens to my bag once I check it in.
How does it fit in a cars trunk? I had the pack out rolling tool box but it wouldn’t fit.. this one looks like it would but I’m not too sure
Very Nice, but expensive, then again so is the DeWalt Toughbox system....
But worth it to protect those expensive tools 👍🏼
Agreed
Come-on milwaukee! How hard was it to add a locking feature? Even two d loops for a padlock would have made this bag amazing.
Why would you lock it if a thief can pick up the bag and leave?
Pointless to lock it can cut that bag right open

18 inch with a hardtop that's what I need I can't decide I feel like 24 is too big for a service plumber and I don't like the soft top
You need a led torch holder that can be used to light up the inside and outside on this.
I called homedepot they dont carry it anymore, I called Milwaukee they dont make it 24 inch hard top anymore how would I b able to get one
