Gucci Guilty Absolute is my all-time favorite fragrance! Such a great smoky scent that my loves on me. I have half of a 50ml bottle left and a 150ml massive backup bottle to last me a lifetime!

In my opinion, Acqua Di Parma Leather is definitely my all time number one. Definitely try it if you haven’t yet!

I’ve always loved Bvlgari’s Man In Black with its Tobacco/leather/amber type smell. It also helps that it’s my wife’s favorite fragrance on me this far!

Another great leather fragrance is the Italian “acqua di parma leather”: amazing scent 👍☺️
John Varvatos Dark Rebel classic version is amazing as well. Softer than Rider but with time as it gets oxidated gets amazing richness and depth. I can not accept it got discontinued. Most probably it was the best of Varvatos next to Jonh Varvatos and John Varvatos Vintage. Which one of those presented in the video would be the closest to the John Varvatos Dark Rebel?

@@patrickbateman4541 By Tom Ford? I have this one … far from it. I tested plenty pointed as replacements but nothing smells like Varvatos.
Bought a 50ml of Fahrenheit last fall, absolutely loved it. It's so avant-garde 30 years on. Definitely wanna try the Parfum variant when it gets cold again.
dont buy the parfum version....it give me a headache and there are like 3 perfumes that gives me a headache when wearing them. it's got nothing to do with the edt version. It's sweet, fruity and....sweet...
No Bel Ami? 😂 Great picks though Sebastian! 100% agreed. Kelan from Scents of South Jersey just did a vid on Quorum and mentioned how much better the vintage Quorum is to the current formulation. Ditto with the modern day aftershave which I can confirm. Gift sets that include the aftershave are still so cheap these days that it's definitely worth it to just grab the gift set over the stand alone fragrance.

My favorites from your list as perfumes (not just leather scents), and even in their current formulations are: 1)Antaeus 2)Kouros 3)Jules 4)Yatagan-all of them beloved of mine, but I do prefer them in that order. Caveats though: a) it's OK to disagree! We are all different, and b)I do not yet have the current Dior Fahrenheit, which I suspect would be a love if I buy it. Love "rough" and smooth, refined leathers all the same.
(Guerlain Cuir Intense is my absolute favorite modern leather scent, but it is neither designers nor niche, so perhaps not one to be placed in a list such as this one.)

I never knew the classic Polo was a leather sent. When I was in high school every boy wore it and I loved smelling it on them. I remember buying the shampoo for myself because I loved the smell so much! Such a scent memory. Fahrenheit was another that I loved smelling on guys. Ultima 2 made a fragrance called U2 that was aimed at women I believe but reminded me so much of Fahrenheit. Loved wearing it!
I literally discovered and bought a bottle of Quorum yesterday. It smells great and last pretty long, for how much you pay for it. Great old school vibe.
Quorum sucks! In the bottle it smells good but once you spray it anywhere it stinks 😷
I have kept a bottle of the original Yatagan formulation, it is a beast. I am a woman and wear it sparingly, everyone asks about it.
I broke out Polo Green (Cosmair bottle) today and I 100% agree....today's formulation has been neutered to the point that it's unrecognizable from what it used to be. Great video! Not shocked to see Dior Homme Parfum at the top.....hands down one of the best fragrances ever made! Cheers, Sebastian!

I love Loewe anonimo its great but Loewe Esencia Edp is much better for me and if i layer or combo it with Aventus its stay almost 15 to 18 hours for me. Thanks and more power to you

Another favorite designer leather of mine is Ferragamo Uomo Signature. The leather isn’t in your face but I enjoy it blended with the coffee note. Great video as always!
My favorites are the ones I own, Jacques Bogart: Bogart, Curve Black, and Hugo Boss The Scent.
I think that this is my favorite note, almost all that you mentioned in the list I love, I got my bottle of Gucci Guilty Absolute a week ago and I love it, I need to get a vintage version of Fahrenheit and a back up of Dior Homme Parfum, I heard from a Dior executive in an interview that it's going to disappear so last chance to buy at decent prices. Of this list, I absolutely love DHP and Ombré Leather. I used to wear Aramis and Polo back in the day, but sadly not a fan now.
You missed Bvlgari Man in Black, Rasassi and Acqua di Parma: these are, to my mind much better than some of the others on the list. Thanks for all the great content!

Cartier Declaration Parfum.......one of my Top 10 forevers !! I enjoy TF Tuscan Leather and TF Ombre Leather(2018) and for a different "take" on leather....Mancera Wild Leather.....!!....love !!! The Loewe's were not great performers on my skin.....sadly....because they do smell great.
Gucci Guilty Absolute...sooooo under-rated !!!! LOVE !!! Top 10 for me.

here you have three of my most beloved and used fragrances of all time, ARAMIS(original), QUORUM and YATAGAN, I used to be a fan of POLO(green bottle) but as I have half of a 50 ml bottle I notice the change in it, also GIVENCHY GENTLEMAN(original) I have the aftershave, I like it but I won't wear it every day just for a very formal meeting; and BOGART(signature) that also own, such an awesome barbershop fragrance super manly and classic; I have also AGUA BRAVA and BRUMMEL (both from Antonio Puig house) that I keep on buying all-time as they're great for summertime.
then here I can say that YATAGAN, ARAMIS(original), QUORUM, BOGART(signature), AGUA BRAVA and BRUMMEL are the only colognes I will keep as they match, fit and mix well with my personality, character and style, I don't think I will change to other fragrances and in fact, I've stopped buying other fragrances as I just wear what I have and will keep those 5 fragrances in a permanent choice ......... they are my presentation card and specially ARAMIS, QUORUM and AGUA BRAVA that have that something that fills my expectation of how a man's fragrance should smell.
Awesome list! From it I have the two Diors, and Quorum. Interested in the Aramis Aramis, allegedly similar to the Pinaud's Clubman Special Reserve after shave, which I have and like a lot.

I like Dior Homme Parfum but to me the iris doesn't smell like lipstick but more like crayola crayons in a pleasant way.
I'm planning on buying some of these fragrances eventually.

Philipp pliens no limit is probably the best designer leather that is absent from this list. I can almost be certain if you smell that it would hover around the top 5 of this list. Also stronger with you oud by emporio armani even though it's listed as a oud it's more leather than oud. Should explore a few more designer leathers and do a reworking of this list after that.
Would love to see your thoughts on Ferragamo New Intense Leather haven’t smelled it myself but the Fragrantica reviews are all over the place. Mugler Amen Leather (discontinued) And Bvlgari Men in Black Orient are great leather designers. Also Mercedes Benz La Parfum get compared to Tuscan Leather but think it is different and a great cheapie.
Also very surprised your favorite Bentley For Men Intense didn’t make the list. Not a “leather” fragrance but does have a good leather note in it.
Ombre leather. Much better than tuscan leather which I find too dry. However tuscan leather has a beautiful raspberry note. Makes me think that getting a raspberry note and mixing. ..

How about Bentley Intense? Not sure if classified as a designer or niche fragrance, but it has a lot of leather going on for a good value. A great cold weather fragrance.

Great list, Sebastian! It’s very sad when you have to put the classics at the bottom, because the current formulations are so distant from the originals. I found a few vintage bottles of Polo Green, and even though the top notes are dull, what remains is great! I wear Aramis by Aramis on the list, but truthfully, today’s designer leathers can’t compare to niche and indie offerings. How about Knize Ten? I don’t think it’s quite designer, but it’s a classic. In the past year, I’ve found several indie perfumers who have created wonderful fragrances using real castoreum. There’s no substitute for that in a leather fragrance. Can you do a list of niche, or better yet, indie leathers? That would be nice. Think Francesca Bianchi’s Lover’s Tale, Under My Skin or Sticky Fingers, or Liz Moore’s Anubis from Papillon Artisan, or Perfumes or Matthew Meleg’s Birch Tar and Russian Leather. I know these are not for modern noses, but these people are olfactory artists. Please consider that sort of review. Thanks!

Does kouros have an incense smell in the top notes? I bought a travel size from fragrance net and it smells very incensey to me. On fragrantica it doesn't state that it has an incense note. Kouros body stated that it has incense in the top notes and I'm wondering if I got the wrong fragrance

What smells like English Leather?
You know i love you sebastian but to create a leather list and leave off hermes bel ami makes me want to fight you :) just kidding mate but if younare a serious leather lover try and find the first or 2nd interation of bel ami. If you cant find either (or dont want to pay exhorbitant ebay mark up prices.. get jean claude ellenas rendition bel ami vetiver. One of best leather frags you can buy pound for pound if you want pure leather. If you want some sleeps check out guerlains Bois Mystérieux or if you can get the vintage Songe d'un Bois d'Ete it is even better. Fragrantica shows oud instead of leather but i dont detect any oud in songe. It is the "same" frag according go guerlain but when they give you double the juice for the same price my antennas always perk up. Last dark horse is amouage imitation man. If dior homme is number one sebastian for you i would love your thoughts on imitation man my friend!

Get your nose on it my friend as a fragrence lover and i can tell you have a mature nose and a flair for the classics i think it will instantly become one of your favorite leathers! Also dont forget about imitation man. I literraly dont own dior homme parfum or intense because i just wear imitation man instead :)

Quorum was sold by Avon or Mary Kay, not sure but it sucked! Don’t put too much, though, or you’ll stink like water with pennies and nickels soaked in it!
