- Wow what a moving day full of adventures, struggles, successes, excitement, and MORE as I settle into my new apartment in Portland, OR. my mum's tip for putting on a duvet cover...turn it inside out, put both your arms in to the bottom two corners of the sheet, hold the top of the duvet, and then flip the sheet over it. Takes about 2 minutes it's an absolute game changer!

Doug saying ‘In theory’ took me back! In 7th grade I had a teacher who always said that without realizing it! We started keeping count every class lol.
Aww yay I was feeling creative lol...haha I had a teacher say essentially so many times are started tallying every class and she bypassed 50 times....so annoying

Great vid! I was laughed when you realized that there were different settings on the drill because that was me a few months ago when I moved to a new apartment. I was having such a hard time drilling through my concrete wall when I found that I was actually using the screw setting instead of the drill one. Lol.
This year, a new vacuum is on top of my list! Actually, I just realized that everything on my list is for my apartment and I love it! 😅

First of all, I just wanted to say that I love your videos, and watching you helps keep me motivated to get my life together.
Secondly, I just wanted to give a helpful tip my grandma taught me for putting on duvet covers. If you sew 2 string like attachments on the innermost corners of your duvet cover and duvet, you can flip the duvet cover inside out, tie the strings together on each of the corners, and then you can just pull the cover over the duvet and not have to worry about crawling inside of it to readjust it and your duvet will also stay in place at the same time!

Look up the inside out duvet cover trick. (basically you lay your duvet insert on top of the inside out cover, tie the ends, and flip it back right side). It made me actually not hate washing my duvet cover and was a game changer 😂

Duvet covers are such a pain. I swear that has to be an easier way. I have cats and so I'm always washing mine, and always climbing inside of it like that. 😂😂
Also... what version of Roomba do you recommend? I might need to cave and get one.
I just found out there are tons of tricks so I need to try them! But I'm glad I'm not the only one who crawls inside lol
And I honestly don't have the best one...my parents have one with a handle on top to pick it up and it is a little better than mine (they got theirs at Costco) but my Dustin still works great so you can't go wrong!

Turn the comforter cover inside out. Then put you hands inside like wearing a glove and go all in until your at the seems. Then you can pick up you comforter with you hands inside the cover and shake both things together. This way the cover will Slide Over your hands onto the comforter. And then, you can shake it as much as you need to make it even. Maybe this helps with making your bed :). The apartment will come together very nicely

New lamps for my new apartment. It is very dark in here without a bunch of lamps. My mom got me a couple cute lamps from Target and also threw in some holiday throw pillows because she knows I love decorating for Christmas and my boxes of decorations weren’t arriving for another couple weeks.

I asked for reusable paper towels, Donal Skehan's cookbook, snake plant, and a nice watch. If your dresser fits on the wall by the light switch it might be easier to open the drawers.
