Yeah it was really the most consistent part of the whole piece. I wish they had leaned into it more, like where did the bus go after it dropped off the dog, were there any stops along the way to the city... Think about it won't you? Thank you

@@NeogreenPeaches who am I is a lyric from the musical Les Miserables, so the dog gets dressed up like the character that sings that part, Jean Valjean (famous for stealing a loaf of bread)
what kills me about this is I really feel like he nailed down what an Andrew Lloyd Weber musical sounds like with no context
I wish more musicals had ": a real musical, I promise, dude, it's really a musical" at the end of their titles

On my fourth replay, I finally realized that by "bones" Griffin means like the kind of bones dogs chew and bury, not the bones inside the dog.

i don’t know why but my roommates and i find this hysterical. we come back to it every few days and have the whole thing memorized down to the random periods of silence griffin has while he’s trying to think up new lyrics. it’s our little inside joke and it’s thanks to this animatic and we love it
I thought the bit itself was pretty funny, but this animation has skyrocketed it into another level. It looks so simple but you've added such dynamism with the shake in the griffin' dog as he belts his wee heart out about his bone tragedy. That mini transformation into frog was just mwah *chefs kiss* I have cried laughing at this on multiple occasions now!
there’s so many good things about this but the tiniest thing that makes me laugh so hard is when griffin sings the first line and justin opens his eyes real wide like he’s embarking on a religious experience
I think this masterpiece definitely qualifies as an animation, not an animatic. So many key frames!
