I am one of those that don't like how zimmerit looks at this scale.
When I build any battlefront kit, I leave the tracks off to paint separately and build the hull up first, to avoid the problems you encountered in this video (I would have put the hull rear plate on before the hull top).
I might just have to get this kit, all my panthers are zimmerit-less (they're the OOOLD PSC ones). If I ever restart FoW, this kit will definetely jump to the head of the queue.
Great to see BF sending you review kits. You do good work. I like the zimmerit, personally. The kit does suffer from the fit issues with the hull and tracks. The tracks often end up looking “toed in” if you look from the front. I think building the hull, then adding the tracks will help the gaps, but you will still need to watch out to get them to glue in truely vertically. Well done for spotting the added depth of zimmerit as a fit issue. That didn’t occur to me in my review. Good work!
I've build and painted a model of this kit. It is a good one and I like the Zimmerit. Maybe I work on the squares with my knife next time to have a more erratic surface. Although it sounds like a lot of work... maybe I won't do it...

I broke the first FOUR bow machine guns myself... i've never had that type of problem with plactic sprues before. Even early on in making models with bolt action's super-thin rifles I didn't break that many. Terrible sprue planning there.
Upvoted especially for pointing out that "panth" can be a verb.
Also for showing a flaw in the kit right off the bat. That tends to make your claim of no quid pro quo believable.

These zimmerit are big because they are not the usual type (seen on the MG), they are waffle type which were seen on Panthers.

Are used to be a very big flames of war found in fact it was the only thing I bought I didn’t actually play the game I just kept buying miniatures and then through a series of unfortunate events I stopped I just stop caring. And then I became what the Internet call a troll. Even though I’m not home I was just pissed off at company
Zimmerit on 15mm scale looks too bad.
I feel like at that scale it would essentially look like mesh.
