Well Mitch, Compliments to yourself and Tom for completing two nice neat and tidy jobs, both of your clients must be Pleased.... Tom sure likes driving that Genie lifter 😉 👍
So most of the isolators I see have Line, Neutral and Earth terminals but only the Line gets isolated when switched off. I’m assuming that was the same type of isolator 🤷🏼♂️
Double pole isolation ensures both the active (hot) and neutral wires are disconnected when the isolator is switched off. This provides a safer environment for service technicians by preventing any potential electrical shock from the neutral wire, which could still be carrying current if other devices on the circuit are in use. This is particularly important in scenarios where split system air conditioners are connected to circuits with other appliances or electronics.
Air con units are best installed with a permanent neutral. If someone turns off the double pole isolator which cuts neutral and live when the unit is running it can blow the boards.

Im really happy with the install. Mitch did a brilliant job. He took his time and got the job done perfectly. Thanks.
Thanks for the nice words mate! I appreciate it!
Are those isolators not double-pole over there?
Great vid Mitch! Have you installed Toshiba units before?
Great job Lads…. Do you hire your lifters Mitch or do you own them, thanks for all the content 🙌🏼
Thanks mate! I own the gas lifter and a mate of mine owns the wind up lifter. Both live in my garage though 😂
Good vids and tidy installs, weird they must not of switched the neutral through the isolator

In short both red and black wires should be switchable
