There actually is a good reason Link attached a ruby to an arrow. If you look at the description of the items in BotW it actually says that Rubies contain the power of fire. In the recent TotK trailer you see a bit of fire surround the ruby onto Link's arrow.
That makes sense as to why for sure. But I assume what she meant when she said why would you waste/use a Ruby is you could probably use a fire chu jelly to give the same effect for fire arrows and then just sell the Ruby for cash 😁
In BOTW most of the weapons had 3 tiers that got progressively stronger, and even ingredient effects had 3 tiers of potency that effected whether the food was a 1,2 or 3 effect food. My guess is that all the arrow effects will also have 3 tiers and the rarer and more expensive items will be of a higher tier.
Kudos to MissClick for finding the time to do a reaction video after having a baby. I remember when my sister first had a baby, her priorities changed drastically. She went from "I need this" to "My baby needs me". That was quite a transformation. A parent's ego takes a beating for sure. But its a sacrifice that they willingly make. Anyway, TotK looking good. That new crafting mechanic is gonna keep people glued to that game for a while. Can't wait to see what they come up with.

Watching this gameplay after the third trailer makes it a nice supplement, but honestly because I watched it first I was really underwhelmed by it. Trailer 3 eased ALL my worries and I'm super excited now!
Everything I've seen here and in the other previews of TOTK convinced me that this game is more than worth its 70 dollars. They really put a lot of work into this game, despite any flaws we may find in the future...and this is coming from someone who wasn't a big fan of BOTW.
Little theroy of mine, the tears unlock new active and passiv abillity for link, zeldas tear gave him recall, the rito tear may give him the moonjump abillity we saw in the last trailer, the zora one might give him a water based thing maybe breathing under water
All these new abilities will lead to some many possibilities. Definitely made me more excited for the game. Kinda hate how people are like “no loading screens when falling” like.. the switch can handle stuff.

If you rewatch the last trailer, you’ll notice that almost none of Link’s melee weapons are new. With the exception of one spear that I’m not sure of, all the weapons link uses throughout the trailer are just low level swords fused with materials.
Yeah they only show 4 melee weapons throughout the trailer. There’s the rusty broadsword which is shown plain, with a shard of naydra, and with a zonai monster part. They show a cobble crusher fused with moblin horns. They also show the unknown spear and a plain soldiers broadsword.

I wonder if they will make you work alot to get those new abilities. The Runes from BotW were pretty straightforward to obtain since it was part of the tutorial but a nice challenge to obtain each would be nice actually.
I was at my therapy last week. I was super duper hyped so I spent most of the time talking about Zelda, new trailer, new game, all the lore, ureboros, just all out geeking out. My therapist asked me how come I don't have any friends that are into this stuff when clearly I become a different person as soon as I get the chance to nerd out on this stuff. It makes me sad that all the youtubers that react like this, to a freaking Zonai Charge item in the game live in like USA and so on, and I'm stuck in Poland, where an average gamer had commodore 64 and then instantly jumped to playstation because Nintendo kinda skipped Poland due to communism back in 80s. And then we didn't even have a distributor company assigned to us till 2018 :(
