I'm glad that they paid homage to Ultimecia without the actual character showing up.
Honestly, even if you don't have the actual character around, they could have done a better job with Gaia's deisgn. They did an awesome job with Ryne/Shiva/Hydaelyn, I won't lie when I say I'm disappointed they didn't put more effort in Gaia's.
This is how they sshould do more references and crossovers by taking the ideas of things instead of whatever delta and sigmascape was like what if instead of just being a simulation the phantom train is a thing in the world of ffxiv instead

They are saving it. I'm willing to bet my account that the next fight with Zenos is gonna have One Winged Angel as ost
@@n30sp4rk I'm not so sure actually - it might sample it, but I'd sooner think they'd give Zenos his own theme. There's really not much of a comparison between the two aside from "long hair and wields a big katana," which Zenos isn't even doing now. And he certainly isn't a one winged angel, it just wouldn't make a whole lot of sense without some prior direct reference to 7 specifically.
The Extreme is the better track of the two anyways, so I'm happy with it.

One of my favorite remixes of The Extreme - I love the stylistic links with the XIV orchestration of Force Your Way with the piano, horns, and opera, while still being balanced with the stylish synths of the original. And not to mention the guitars, mmmph! Soken remixing Uematsu is the perfect match.
And the haunting echo of "Fithos Lusec Wecos Venosec" which is almost indiscernible at the beginning of the track, replete with the jangling bells from the original. This remake is bliss.
Funny that you mentioned that since both Force Your Way and The Extreme in FFXIV were arranged by the same person, Daiki Ishikawa. Hence, a similar musical style.

This almost motivates me to try extreme and savage stuff. . . Or maybe I'll just settle for listening to the music here, where it's safe.
Extreme isn’t too bad at all. Savage is a cut more difficult and you’ll want to find a static group
Extremes are really simple mechanic wise. Savage is still timelined and can be learned from ton of guides and kill PoV videos. Give it a try! Savage/ex can be both cleared by casual player too.
@@phageling9949 you absolutely do not need a static to do savage

Hyped for this in the 7.1 Ultimate
I felt so silly when someone pointed out to me that Artemis + Gaia kinda makes Artemis-ia, which would just be Ultimecia sounded out.
Ultimecia is a translation error of Artemesia already in FF8, Artemesia being another name for Artemis (the Greek God), so it very much IS a fight against Ultimesia.
@@glanier92 Ah wait, so like the Aeris/Aerith thing?
@@seablade214 Arutimishia is how her name is spelled in Japanese. Arut is often translated from japanese to english as Ult Which is how Ultimecia is called Ultimecia in english and french. In the context of FF8 story with Ultimecia being the "Final" Sorceress, wanting to avoid her doom by compressing time. Ultimare seems to be where Arut comes from. Ultimare being latin for "to be final, come to an end" As in Japanese ULTIMA is actually Arutema. Reason for this is japanese language does not have Ls. Gaia being an Ascian reincarnation makes her relevant to future plot points...and given that in time if she can master her Ascian powers, she can visit us in the Source, and might bring Ryne with her too...might be a thing before 6.0?
I doubt it, anything that happens with the raids is almost always its own separate plot point that never leaks into the story, the only exception being kind of omega, because Ironworks used technology based on him to travel through time and space to the first with Graha.
@@generaln0nsense848 You literally have to do CT in order to continue MSQ now. It's entirely plausible depending on where they go that they do the same for eden.

Well it helps that a good portion of the soundtrack is hand picked the best from the rest of the series, but it’s still fantastic with all of the new stuff so that’s moot.
@Anonymous Turkey Well not really. No one ever really talks about music before VI. VII has it's good theme. IX most people don't mention when it comes to music.
