When you've been a fan for 17 years and you see new people discovering Damien Rice:
Cheers, darlings!
Thank you! I’ve been a fan about 5 weeks! How did I ever exist before? He music means so much to me.
Last week on his live stream 347aiaden told everyone to shut up n stop listing to his just bout to release music teaser to put em on to Damien rice “good music” in his words.
Yoooo he is having fans and influence 🤙🏽
Same, 17 years ❤️
I love this song so much. When my husband and I first started dating, he learned the words and layed in bed one night with his headphones on and sang it to me while listening to his mp3 player.
a character that can never be forgotten , both beautiful together ................i find a hhapy plateau with this song
Hey, you’re 10 years over me 💀
My exceptional musical taste brought me here.
Same here!! That too years back I heard this song and now again I got back to it due to Money Heist!!
Paulette Mayoral amen sister!!!!
Finally someone came to appreciate this underrated genius
Excellent taste buds
okay. i always resist, but i'm going to make my comment and go. i completely agree with you. it's cringey as hell when people only like musical artists because they've gotten exposed in a show. i mean it's good for the artist but it's also cheapening. i will agree that's it's cringey to compare musical tastes like it's some pissing contest, but seriously. example. my so is obsessed with cars. he is the sort of person that would truly appreciate the beauty, function, build, artistry of cars eso many people would dream of owning. it would be as though someone goes about just accruing things to accredit them to their personal brand when they don't even care. music means something to me, so it's so annoying when people don't seek it out, complain "good music just doesn't exist anymore", "such and such brought me here". i wish people would stop only attatching themselves to things when they're on trend. like altruism. as soon as it's not going to get you facebook likes, you're going to abandon it. no identity, so it bugs the crap out of me when people just use artists like damien rice to up their ego when they could actually appreciate the art.
So lucky i watched 'Lost' many years ago, because that makes me search 'Delicate' and know about Damien Rice!
Same here. Lost is still my favorite one!
O dr house ❤
It doesn't matter who or what brought you here, the important thing is.. You're here. Now close your eyes and enjoy the music.
Amen to that!
Kapov Please be nice.
This song has pulled me past so much depression and sadness , even though it's a very "sad" song. In a way it's like a savior. Just listening to this is complete bliss and relaxation. We're here for such a short time . We should all just love one another regardless of superficial artifice.
Respect Islam
LMAO! 😂😂😂 what brought me here is the beautiful music, period!
I always thought I was too young to fall in love with someone, but maybe I am in love now, I mean... I feel something is missing, I listen to this kind of songs and It fills me with the idea... of falling in love. So I got to the conclusion.... I am in love with the idea of falling in love.
+Issa Gonzalez How old are you?
Marcos Favián García 18
+Issa Gonzalez Maybe the idea of falling in love is actually an man made - artificial sensation and we are not born with it - rather we learn about it. In any case, great song.
+Issa Gonzalez youre in love with God
+Rodney Leon lol
I needed this today. Struggling with the cruel reality of life. Searching for balance.
Just remember good days feel great because you have been through bad days. Stay positive my friend.
I declared this my favourite song when I was 17. I’m now almost 33, still my favourite.
Same
My favourite at 17 and now I'm 33 too! And my name is Dani, I come here to feel.
Same here! 17 and now 32. ❤
Same here!
I'm 32 and just discovered it.
Always remember this song from Lost and Hurley, so many great memories.
We might kiss when we are alone
When nobody's watching
We might take it home
We might make out when nobody's there
It's not that we're scared
It's just that it's delicate
So why do you fill my sorrow
With the words you've borrowed
From the only place you've known
And why do you sing Hallelujah
If it means nothing to you
Why do you sing with me at all?
We might live like never before
When there's nothing to give
Well how can we ask for more
We might make love in some sacred place
The look on your face is delicate
So why do you fill my sorrow
With the words you've borrowed
From the only place you've known
And why do you sing Hallelujah
If it means nothing to you
Why do you sing with me at all?
So why do you fill my sorrow
With the words you've borrowed
From the only place you've known
And why do you sing Hallelujah
If it means nothing to you
Why do you sing with me at all?
amazing..just amazing
Priceless. Thank you.
players liaes
players liars
My God!!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
Damien Rice is just outstanding. His arrangements are just so beautiful and soul shaking. His brutal honesty and thoughtful lyricism is what I love about him. But I think what I love most about his work is that he really dives into and explores all aspects of the human condition. He may just be the most talented and underrated artist of our time.
Caity Maxwell Well said! "Soul shaking"... gave me goosebumps reading it in my head. Perfect description of Mr. Rice's work.
most talented of our time? yeah, slight exaggeration there
I'm not claiming this to be a fact. It's a personal opinion and opinion is not truth.
it's ok caity maxwell, our own personal truths are what sets us apart from others and makes life worthwhile and awesome ...
Thank you for speaking my mind
Reading so many "money heist" related comments. But glad that people can somehow hear and witness this man's voice. He's a legend❤🙏
Finally a good comment everyone talking about nairobi but no one talking about him .
Me to, for nairobi ✌🖤
Wasn’t this in Lost as well? And yes, it’s such an amazing song
If anybody is coming here because of a tv show please... LOST was the show
@Zapatapro27 I knew the song from LOST which I binged since last week. I keep thinking about the story every waking hours damn.
This song is so beautiful it hurts. Takes me back to college 14 years ago🥹
One of the most moving and beautiful songs I've ever heard. From 3:45 forward, when his vocal becomes more urgent and Lisa's high notes join the melody, leaves me absolutely shattered into pieces. Songs like this can make you miss mythical people who only exist in our most wishful desires.
💗
Find myself saying the same but for about eight songs❤
Old Druss the Legend
This man is a fucking inspiration to me. I wish I had half of the talent he did, and I wish I could write music half as heartfelt as this. I hope Damien never stops writing music.
Thank you! I definitely don't have the writing talent that Damien does but I strive for it every day!
be careful what you wish for
Yo damien rice was already a freaking god before money heist.. now he's a superstar
Travelling in early 20’s with his songs ❤ I was free and lonely at the same time. It still comforts me in anywhere and whenever…
What an underrated artist. Very rare that someone can translate pure emotion into pure music.
+Anthony Torpey Totally agree... the restraint, tenderness and anger all there on the surface
Who says he is under rated? I have been rating him very highly since 2003
@@CRAZYCR1T1C he just means that more people should know about him, because he’s great
I made a son to this. Born March 2nd at 8:18pm. Cedric Frayne. He's a badass. Love being a dad. Greatest moment of my life
Odd choice, pacing wise. But congratulations.
Delicate. The perfect name for this track. Because it is. Utterly delicate. Utterly gorgeous. The cello. Goosebumps. 💓💓💓
I just come back here every few years to let this song lullaby my soul into the abyss. When Lisa brings in that backing vocal toward the end it just slays me every time. Not many song writers have the talent to hit you in the "feels" like Damien Rice. BRAVO!!
Scott Russell sane here wish they would do a concert one day but that ain’t happenin.
Yeah absolutely feel it everytime the goosebumps 🙊 such a powerful song
It’s a masterpiece
I'm so glad this day was captured on camera!
Who is here just becoz you love Damien with all your heart and hear him everyday whenever you need to be get lost from this chaotic world and feel your breathe ???
Me
And me
I will listen to him til the day i die
Yess..always on my playlist.... I'm so lucky I got to watch him perform live 🙂
I remember Hurley listening to Delicate at the end of an episode of Lost
He still makes me cry
i Brought myself here .
hahahhha samee
this comment is golden.
Jerret Carpenter Thank you sir.
+Airakaz (:
Paulina Papadimitriou Hey (:
I went to a punk concert last night. Came home and had to listen to some Damien Rice.
Lisa Hannigan singing the harmony in the background MAKES this song. So adorable too. My favorite of all Damien Rice's songs.
This is how I imagine heaven.
Don't you feel like listening to this song on an island somewhere?
Such a delicate song and music. The cello is perfect, makes me have goosebumps. Damien's calm voice and guitar always relaxing 🎶🎶🎶
3:46 Rips the stitches right out of my patchwork soul.
LA CASA DE PAPEL BROUGHT ME HERE, NAIROBI!! I CRIED SO HARD!!!
Zahra Almahrooqi crying isn’t even a word for a grown man like me who was literally in tears
FOR NAIROBI!!✊😪
es un crack no te olvidaremos nairobi
Alba Flores❤
Everybody is talking about Nairobi,
But honestly, your music is so beautiful.
LOST is a hell of a show
Lisa's highs, wow. 😍😍
+George Banks tell me about it
+Kyle Joultz Hey whats her full name ?
+Joseph ElDuderino lisa hannigan
+little wing thanks
Her voice is divine....this song is beautiful, perfectly excecuted. But everytime i listen too it Lisa's voice gives me goose bumps.
this song is so emotional, every time i hear it i cant help but remember the time when i first heard it and coincidentally it was a time with nothing but good feelings. This song it truly wonderful and one of a kind.
I'm in love with Damien's songs. And now after few years (after watching La Casa Del Papel) I'm back and my life and my feelings are different but love to his music still strong
The pain and sadness are palpable here. I recognize it too.
This is seriously one of the most beautiful songs of all time. It's amazing how hearing a song after so many years can take you back to a specific time and place.
I will always be grateful to Lost for introducing Damien Rice and especially this song to me about nine years ago! Awesome memories!
I must have heard this song a million times....and I just found out about it a few days ago. I think it´s THAT GOOD.
Still reminds me of that one person every time I listen to this 🖤 all the damn feels
Finally got to see Damien earlier this month in Manchester. He opened with Delicate and it was just perfect. Great gig from a great artist. Catch him if you can!
Damien rice and lisa are just incredible and talented musician. Faith in music restord
How could you ever even lose faith in music...?
dale miller niki minaj...thats how
Andy Carson then don't listen to her you doink
This song pulls at your soul!
So hauntingly, chillingly beautiful. I can listen to this forever. Lisa's vocals add so much to the song also. It's my favorite Damien song
Underrated for sure!
Is Lisa the name of the girl doing backing vocals? How can I find more of her? My heart melts when she enters the song
Oh I found her! ua-cam.com/users/lisahannigan
@@AsukaAmai Yes. LISA HANNIGAN. She's an Irish singer. I saw her perform on her own, with her own band and she is truly wonderful.
I can’t listen to the version(s) without, it’s just sooo goood
Everyone of the Damian rice with Lisa and the Cello Player, in every incarnation, they are all such amazing performances and so well balanced. Lisa sings like a freaking angel. This makes make my already broken heart implode even more.
Love is like the light at the end of a tunnel full of daggers, and when you get there you find it is only a funeral pyre.
Love grabs your heart and tries to lift it higher. But the world pulls your body down, and this will tear you in two. Love is a dream I had long ago. I still have it now, but that dream is of you. Love once it is lost may never come again and yet time takes much longer for a lonely life to end.

Seeing all the people who died during the show and this song playing was so sad.
I was crying my eyes out in that scene where there were Berlin Moscow Oslo and then Nairobi arrived 😭😭😭😭😭
@@connoisseur1595 me too :(
For Nairobi
@@connoisseur1595 same :((
FOR NAIROBIIIIIIIIIIIIII
I would absolutely SWOON to be in this same room. So much talent and beauty captured in these moments and all of these musicians are so pretty also. Like JUST LET ME GIVE HIM KISSES I'LL MAGE HIM FEEL BETTER! 😭😭😭
Life is hard man, good music makes it a bit more bearable
Who is here after listening to this song for over 10 years 🙋🏻♀️
i've heared for the first time in Dr. house, ive been listening to this since then
i heard this song for the first time when i was a nurse on night shift. 11 years ago. it ran in the room of a dying patient ... the whole cd ran to the end (his wife was with him) .... very quietly in the background .... to the end.
since then i have neither been able to forget the songs ... nor the people. incredibly beautiful and sad at the same time
RIP Victor 😔🙏🏼
10年前我还在上大学,第一次听到这首歌,旁边刚好有一瓶没有开的白酒,我一饮而尽。
Me. I've never seen a program with this song.
Ps todos wey
I seriously wish he released THIS as his album. These sessions are as intimate as his concerts - like he's in your living room pouring his heart out to you... A spectacular artist I feel blessed to have discovered many years ago and honored to see live (albeit without ms Hannigan).
I've been coming here for 10 years. It's good to see this song get a boost thanks to La Casa de Papel. Yet, what brought you here was not the series, it was the song. Regardless of why you came here, I am glad you discovered Damien Rice.
She is soaring like birds over that song..
I listened to this songs when i heard it in the tv series "LOST"
me too
Hugo Reyes was listening this amazing song.
damn seeing the old characters resembling it was heaven brought me to tears
RIP Nairobi
Reminds me of when I really fell in love with my wife , She's with the Angels now , She read me like a book , such a Beautifull time for us both , , Charming , and full of Passionate love
I wish you the best❤❤I am sure when you really love someone this way,you will meet her again in the other side🫂❤❤❤❤❤
-Hi from April 2020 in the middle of a pandemic. My 15 year old self from 2002 brought me here to relive the majesty of this song.
Lost brought me here! Awesome song!
I've been listening to this for two days straight and crying my heart out.
Possibly the most moving piece of music ever recorded. WOW
The sound that comes from a violin is such mystical feeling.... it takes you places.
Chelo
Sounds really painful and sad. 😢
A cello is something that can convey SOOO MUCH emotion ❤❤❤
Thank you youtube autoplay for helping me discover this amazing man!
9 crimes 👌
Check out "bellx1" his band b4 he went solo
+2irish2btrue I'll have to check that out! That's for the reference.
RIP Nairobi we will never forget you .She was a legend
I remember hearing this when I was about 13 years old and I've been stuck ever since....I'm 24 now!!
For Nairobi Berlin Moscow and Oslo, that was so heartache moment😢😢👊 Lacasa de Papel season 4 brought me here
Reminds me of someone special.
The first time I listened to this song I was on the bus, and I started crying
One of my favourite songs ever
I came here after house md, then after lost, seems i'm always gonna come back here.

meee!
Anyone who says that this song doesn't effect them in any way or that it doesn't touch them way down in the pit at the centre of their heart....has never really been in love.....and then lost that love. Damien, you are by far one of the most talented musicians I have ever heard, watched or known!! Never give up on the music......because you ARE THE MUSIC...from your every thought down to the very fiber of your soul!!!!!
Sooo many years without Lost :(
The best serie over the time. This Song is Perfect.

Lost forever❤
Quem assistiu e é fã de Lost, como eu, lembra desta música na cena de Jim
their voices together are extraordinary
The end of this song is up there with the most moving pieces of music you will ever here.... electric and otherworldly in its raw male and female emotion incredible stuff.
First heard this song 10 years ago, then I was watching an older English show called “misfits” and there it was again. What an awesome song!!! One of the best of all time!
Same bro
I like Damien since "Closer" movie . Thanks Netflix and money heist. Now people come here. Damien deserves this.
There are no words to describe how wonderful his music is. He is perfect.
I just love Damien Rice and all his songs. Doesn’t matter how you got here. Just enjoy.
If you came here to remember the woman who decided to put on a dali mask and fight the system just to be with her son, who wanted to be a good mother but she just couldn't !!
Then my friend, you are my friend !! #moneyheist #nairobi
Hey friend 😭 sorry for the loss
I still can't believe it. Her death was avoidable. Whyyy just why did they kill her character.... :'(
I can't believe she's gone but life goes on
And I'm your friend too mate, regards!!!
I read this in Berlin's voice idk why.
My sadness is dripping with my tears...
my english is not very good but : i love this song and the emotion that produce on me. I thank you so much for that !
Damien sort of reminds me of John Martyn in the sensibility of his writing. And the acoustic nature of his work. And I definitely like his voice.
This gives a soul ache, a beautiful one
When my sister was out, I used to take from her shelf Damien's album O and 9, Dido's No Angel and Norah Jones first album. I would play them all day.
:)
Absolutely incredible, the beauty, the love, the emotion! So intimate and so lovely.
I lost myself and gratefully found it here.
Love my Nairobi!!!! I never cried to a show ever but man I love her RIP 😭😭😭
When I look at Damien, I remember why I do music.
what do u mean by that?
Katie Dunlap I had the same beautiful realization. He's so amazing
We're All Mad Here He's my number one inspiration. So every time I see him playing, I remember why I started doing it too.
He makes me so grateful that people do music.
***** OMG thank you!!!!! That is so sweet of you love xx

This is the most perfect beautiful song in the world❤❤❤🇬🇧
Since I was 12 years old I've been listenin' to this album, at least 4 or 5 times a week, and it always gets me. Not only is the first track so melancholy and so affecting, but it also just means so much to me.
Aside from Breath by Pink Floyd and Christmas Card... by Tom Waits, this is the only other songs that always stops me in my tracks.
From the first, opening note to the last, it just entrances me and soothes my soul, my mind...whatever you want to call it
Basically, this song is genuinely life changing to me and I cannot thank Damien et al enough for producing such life affirming and just straight up stunning music that both entertains me and soothes my soul, washes away the sins of the world.
ronaaan colhoooun i dont care
You've got incredible taste in music, fren :)
This give to me peace and relax. Perfect harmony. I also remember the beautiful tv serie Lost...
Anger, melancholy, love in his voice at once....
No tv show brought me here. What brought me here is my immense love for Damien's music. ♥️
I came here so long ago the first time I can't say what brought me but I will always love this song. I feel every ounce of sorrow.
this song on 2018
