Damien Rice is amazing. This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, I listen to it almost everyday. Pure talent from Damien & Lisa. Even if you're not into this type of music you must appreciate the heart & soul that Damien is pouring out, its something rarely seen anymore.

I had an online relationship and we loved each other beyond words. He dedicated this song to me . We never met... one day he said he was done. I never heard from him again. This song guts me beyond words.

It always gets me, when I see someone didn't take that leap of faith - with a healthy shove from love - into the unknown. I did, a few times, from online to reality. It just seems cruel to rob the reality after promising it for too long. I've flown all over the world just to make sure we tasted our promised reality...it's always worth it.

It sounds to me like they don't know what is important in music. You don't need a perfect voice. His music is unique and that is all what matters. Most of his music is better than 50% of the songs today😁

I remember the first time I heard this song when I was a lot younger. I loved it so much that it made me cry even though I didn't understand some of the things he sang about. Now that I'm older, I can appreciate this song even more than before.

I love him, I know he likes me...but not enought to making throut the diferences and understand each oder. He easly will find someone new and I am going throut a depression. But it is life!

I got the privilege to see him perform this in a small venue in Columbus, Ohio back in 2015. He showed up two hours late, drunk out of his mind, and everyone was pretty pissed. Then he opened his mouth and absolutely KILLED IT as a one man show for the night. It was incredible. Don't even care that my legs were already jello before the concert started, LOL. I was 6 feet from him and in heaven. When he performed The Box, the audience was in tears-- including me. What a wonderful song. This one, too.

I watched a film "Closer" directed by Mike Nicholls and first heard this track, hence my search for it on google. Heard the name 'Damien Rice' but until tonight never really listened to his music (...that will now change!). This track is absolutely beautiful, but I've since listened to a lot more...absolutely gorgeous and will be rushing out to buy some of his music....so soulful!!!!!!
Even more poetic than the version on the album, and the whole spirit of the video is classicaly lyrical like the composition itself. What a great blend of insturments and voices, expressing the yearning that can accompany love.
