How great to see a vlog filmed in my island. My home!! You should try winter, completely different atmosphere, great photo opportunities with the mist and the sea of clouds. By the way, the last arch does have a name: “la ventana del nublo” (Nublo’s window).
Hello Mads from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Amazing video. Such a wonderful job, buddy! A few days ago I went to Pico de las Nieves. Right before that point, there is an area full of Canarian trees. It was just beautiful. Misty, foggy morning. Then, I started to remember one of your recent videos where you took some amazing pictures with deers... Gran Canaria has a huge offer for people like us. Thanks for your videos and don't hesitate to contact me if you ever come back. Cheers!
Mads, I watch all your videos and truly enjoy each one and all your images but usually don't comment. However, I must congratulate you on these images in this video as they are second to none!! :-)
Some amazing photos Mads, with many great sunset and the lovely pastel colors. The other shots taken area also very nice, especially like the church and the milky way shots. Glad you and Sophia had a great shoot. Thank you for posting
Great videos from Gran Canaria! Please, next visit to Tenerife, my island! Very excited to watch my Canary Islands on your wonderful UA-cam channel! Once again, thanks for your passion and for this quality content that you share!
Another super video ! Love your enthusiasm ........ with stunning picture results !!! The photo of Roque Bentayga @ 9:30 is my favorite. Some of the pictures at the end of the video are also very attractive. Nice to see Sophie in the footage ....... Thank you Mads .....greetings to both of you !
As if an artist took every color on his palette to creat many of these images...I N C R E D I B L E , so wonderful to see you enjoying warmer weather and not all bundled up...what a delightfully unique landscape so refreshing to see the unknown at least to these eyes...thank you as always for sharing this beautiful find...our temps here this week are upper 90s and 100s by 10 Am 😩
So nice to see something completely new. It was truly inspiring. The Gran Canaria for us in Scandinavia has mostly been a place where we go for spending a week at the pool or a retreat in winter time. Now I see it completely different and want to go right now. Beautiful pictures.
Mads Peter, I'm really impressed!!!! The pictures are ............ Just no words, don't know what to say..... amazing? I have been several times at the island, but have never been at sunset at the middle of the island. What a huge mistake.... Keep up the good work, I see all your videos and really love them! Always looking forward for the next one. Thank you for sharing the videos with us.
@@MadsPeterIversen It's so sad..... The complete mountain area of GC is on fire. At the West coast the fire is very near to the coast. The center mountain area, such as Scenic drive road, GC-15 or Roque Bentayga View pointer are probably blocked and complete into fire. The 23 of August we will do a final try, and then I'll be sure if it is still possible to photograph over there, but I'm afraid that it is not. August 18 we were at Morro de la Agujereada, and we were send away because of the fire was too close. When you see the complete island getting destroyed, it's so sad.... I have many pictures made of helicopters and airplanes dropping water, but that is not what you want to do...
I love videos on Iceland and the Faroes, but I live in the southwest U.S., so seeing how you dealt with cloudless skies and short sunsets was informative and inspiring. Thanks.
Loved the video and the stunning photographs. Just as in Grand Canaria the sunsets and sunrises here in Australia are fast. I am envious of your golden and blue hours in the many European locations you shoot. Here they are just as epic with stunning locations, but are all done and dusted within 30 minutes of sunrise or sunset. Hope to see you down under one day!
Amazing video... As usual Mads! Your compositions are unique! Always teaching us how to improve our work... A million thanks... You're an inspiring photographer...
Loved it! I have been to a Tenerife two months ago also very beautiful island , highly recommended for landscape photography as well. You did an amazing job mads👌🏼
Really well done Mads. As always your videos are both inspirational and informative. You are unique with this style!! It was also nice to see that you didn’t have to have so much cold weather clothes:) If I travel to Gran Canaria I will definitely buy your map.
Mads Peter Iversen Thanks, Mads. I'm off to the Dolomites soon - I've been rewatching your videos about that area, and they are very well made ( as ever) and very helpful.
Thanks - you once again found me another way to burn money to get to a great photography location. First the Faroe Islands now this... Ugh, watching your videos is expensive.
Might not be your genre as you said Mads, but those abstract images looking down the valley were stunning. Loved the montage at the end and really enjoying the short series from Gran Canaria
Excellent photography Mads and very detailed information and narration as always. I have your maps from Iceland and the Faroes too, looking forward to checking out this one!
Lovely set of images. Really liked the more abstract photos even if they weren’t your favorites. I usually see Sophie with a camera too, does she ever post any of her photos?
Great photos and mostly a different style of photography. The colors rendered a painting ambiance. Superb but .... I do prefer your Iceland & Faroe Island photos. It's more mystical ....
Golden hour is golden hour ;) We skipped the sunrises as it was also a vacation and at the only place that depended on sunrise we had a constant layer of clouds along the horizon.

Great images and video as always :) Thank you for your trip reports and tips for locations! btw. does your wife some image gallery from these locations?
Excellent video, as always. What are the chances of you holding a workshop there one day? Would be more interested in Gran Canaria than the (slightly) colder Nordic nations.
Awesome video that's inspired me to go to Cran Canaria and Tenerife in October. Thanks so much for your content! But just one question........ who's the guy in your profile pic ? ;-)
Hey Mads, Thats an unusual location for you to shoot mate! You are about 3000 miles too far south are you not? Nice to be able to play around wth different light qualities though huh!? Regards Ewan (NZ)
My favourite photo I took at Gran Canaria was the sunset at Pico de las Nievas. From there you see Roque Nublo and in the far background the Teide from Teneriffa ( instagram.com/p/Bw9zsmapzJ-/?)
Try photopills.com or planitphoto.com www.planitphoto.com/#videos Then you can see exactly where the sun is at a certain time point. And whatever time it will be in the middle of the ark. Regards Michal (Denmark)
The shots with Sophie were outstanding. Love love them. Thanks for sharing, a lovely way to enjoy my morning coffee and watching your videos.
Gracias por mostrar y disfrutar de mi bella isla. Sóis de nuevo bienvenidos!
It's even more beautiful with the clouds... :)

Impressive photos Mads. Sunset happens so quickly in some places. Glad you got the shots to share.
Thank you, John! :)
John Paul definitely not like those long lasting golden hours in the north lol
Very cool Mads... great location and stunning images
Looks awesome there man
Noealz Photo gorgeous piece of mountains and hillside!
The lines created by the light are...gorgeous !!
Mads, I watch all your videos and truly enjoy each one and all your images but usually don't comment. However, I must congratulate you on these images in this video as they are second to none!! :-)
Thank you so much then, Dale! Very happy to hear that :)
Dale Eurich they’re definitely gorgeous!
8:00 'lack a sense of grandeur and depth'.
I think it's the exact opposite! The mountains seem to go on forever. Beautiful pictures!
Thank you, yeah it's grand, but I guess one needs a focal point and the other a foreground that can anchor the eye and give scale. At least to me ;)
o0MrJahan0o they were absolutely beautiful!
Very interesting Mads well worth a visit and as per usual thank you for sewing a few photographic seeds.
The astro shot at the end, blew me away. Thank you so much for sharing. Just outstanding!
The arch captures are absolutely stunning!
Thank you very much, Gaby!

Absolutely amazing pictures, well done, after seeing your video i decided to visit Grand Canaria in autumn. :)
kamdaschiva I can see why! This series was really good.
Great video and amazing shots Mads!!
Incredible vision you have !
The layering in the sunset images is stunning ..... great photos !!
Nice. As a native from GC I enjoyed the video.

Some awesome shots Mads 👍
Epic location? Check! Fantastic and informative narration? Check! Amazing images? Check! Wonderfully done.

Mads had to stop the vid , just to say Fabulous to the shot with Sophie and sunbeam, awesome.
Haha thank you so much, Paul! It's also one of my favorites this year :)
I look forward to everyone of your videos. I know I will be inspired and this time was no different. Thank you!
Inspirational as always, Mads!!! Your videos are both educational as well as uplifting, thank you!!!!

Loved it! I have been to a Tenerife two months ago also very beautiful island , highly recommended for landscape photography as well.
You did an amazing job mads👌🏼
Kevin Vlot I’m actually really convinced to go watching this!
Great video and beautiful images ..
Lechmoore Simms i concur!
fabulous images
great video! I can´t wait untill the milky way video :D I heard the night sky there is really awesome, I must be there one day :)
It'll be some time, but I'll eventually get around to it ;)
Dysphonie I saw that quick clip. Really excited for it too!
Superb! You managed to get some good pics despite less-than-ideal conditions.
Really well done Mads. As always your videos are both inspirational and informative. You are unique with this style!! It was also nice to see that you didn’t have to have so much cold weather clothes:) If I travel to Gran Canaria I will definitely buy your map.
Good to see how you got used to such a new location, some fine images there, Mads!
I agree - some lovely images with great colours. I didn't see any filters - did you bracket much? The sky seemed very bright!
No filters, no reason as there was no movement and I don't use grads. Yes, I bracketed often, but in most cases, a single exposure was enough.
Great question!
Mads Peter Iversen Thanks, Mads. I'm off to the Dolomites soon - I've been rewatching your videos about that area, and they are very well made ( as ever) and very helpful.
I quite liked the abstract shot. Well set up. Thanks for the map as well. Put in my list of places I would like to go.
I have shot the volcanos of Lanzarote and this has a similar feel as it's like a USA national park
Beautiful images thank you
Beautiful images, Mads.
Excellent job and when I visit I will definitely use your guide.
Thanks - you once again found me another way to burn money to get to a great photography location. First the Faroe Islands now this... Ugh, watching your videos is expensive.
Amazing
Might not be your genre as you said Mads, but those abstract images looking down the valley were stunning. Loved the montage at the end and really enjoying the short series from Gran Canaria
Thank you very much, Jim!
scotty4418 I personally enjoyed those abstracts a lot too
Enjoyed the video and it has inspired me to want to go to Gran Canaria. Lanzarote is also good for landscape photography.
Thanks a lot, Chris! I did see some beautiful photos from Lanzarote :)
Excellent photography Mads and very detailed information and narration as always. I have your maps from Iceland and the Faroes too, looking forward to checking out this one!
Some pretty bloody good images for a ‘holiday’ Mads 👏. Seems a little weird seeing your style but with a totally different tone 😀
Great video as usual!
I wanted to go to Tenerife in autumn, but now you made me want to go to Gran Canaria instead :D
Haha awesome, Tenerife is probably really beautiful too :)
Next time to my island, Tenerife!
As always- outstanding! Glad to see you are travelling further south- Australia??? One day soon!
Thank You! I like Your Videos. I think, some of this Pictures would look great in black and white!
Really great couple of video. Did you visit other islands of the Canary archipelago?
Thanks, another place to photograph that I can’t aford to go. :-)
Great video Mads but I watched on my iPhone. I’ll need to check it out again on the big screen.
Brad Zaruba I always watch them again on my tv if the work is good. This one I will be watching too later!
Cheers Mads, my family is going to hate me next month when we go to Gran Canaria
Wow. Really amazing. Must go there ;)
Very nice videos and photos! I notice you like to keep the focal point in the centre horizontally and not at a third, how come?
Lovely set of images. Really liked the more abstract photos even if they weren’t your favorites. I usually see Sophie with a camera too, does she ever post any of her photos?
Thank you, Nina, happy to hear that :) She enjoys taking the photos, but as of now she's working hard on finishing her PhD ;)
I’m a huge fan of abstracts too!
Great photos and mostly a different style of photography. The colors rendered a painting ambiance. Superb but .... I do prefer your Iceland & Faroe Island photos. It's more mystical ....
Great images, the light is some challenge as I can see .... Did you try early morning shots ??? How is the light in the morning ???
Golden hour is golden hour ;)
We skipped the sunrises as it was also a vacation and at the only place that depended on sunrise we had a constant layer of clouds along the horizon.
Great images and video as always :) Thank you for your trip reports and tips for locations! btw. does your wife some image gallery from these locations?
Thank you, Radek :)
She enjoys taking the photos, but as of now doesn't have time to edit (working on her PhD)
@@MadsPeterIversen Thank you for the answer. wish your wife all the luck with PhD :)
Excellent video, as always. What are the chances of you holding a workshop there one day? Would be more interested in Gran Canaria than the (slightly) colder Nordic nations.
Thank you very much! If the demand is there I'd like to make the workshop happen. For now you're the only one who've asked ;)
MrEnglishgolfer really good question. Gorgeous weather and beautiful sceneries.
Well done!
Very nice! What does Sophie shoot with? A9000? Will you upgrade to the A7R4?
The colors of the images with your gf are so damn beautiful brother. By far my favorite from this series.
great work getting video to match photos, usually video is no match to photos especially on sunset
Awesome video that's inspired me to go to Cran Canaria and Tenerife in October. Thanks so much for your content! But just one question........ who's the guy in your profile pic ? ;-)
18:33min I be like: whaaaaaaaaadd? That Milky way image is unbelivable. What creates this golden sea beneath it?
Thanks a lot! That's light pollution from the cities. Since it was very hazy it's even more pronounced.
Smukt!

Mads Peter Iversen Thank you!
Do you have any plans to run a workshop in Gran Canaria ?
If the demand is for it I would love to :)
I would definitely be up for it
Great video and great pics as always, but.... can you please go back to the old-school cinematic video? 4K looks awfully artificial...
