Nice work Mads. Great to see a "new" location being highlighted. Just shows there are still places on the globe that haven't been photographed to death. Looking forward to future parts.
Congratulations, Mads. You seem to find such interesting locations, but usually they are in snow, rain & freezing wind! Quite a variation this time. I look forward to seeing more of this location.
Well done, Mads. I enjoyed the seascape/blowhole images. I also enjoyed a slight chuckle with the unintended "humor" of the interplay of the shadows at 10:40.
Green means slippery...I love it Mads and you are correct ...so great to see you posting your travels again ...never have seen this location...a pioneer again with landscape discoveries...looks quite interesting and as always your maps are AMAZING,you always get the best images out of whatever landscape you are in...thank you as always for sharing and teaching us...
Hello, Mads! I've been seeing your videos for some time now. I like the mood of your videos, content, etc. I'm from Catalonia, but I live in Utah, another paradise, right? But I'm moving again in a few months to Gran Canaria. I lived there a long time ago. Now, I have the amazing opportunity to come back there and enjoy it with my digital camera. It was nice to watch your video yesterday evening. You captured such stunning images of this lovely landscape. You don't know how excited I am to come back to Gran Canaria, etc. If you ever come to the island, let me know, and we can shoot together... Thanks for all, and be safe! Cheers from Utah.
Hello Mads!! I am from Gran Canaria. When I saw this videofile, I get really proud. Thanks for your teaching, your art, your point of view. If you come again, you could contact with me, there are more places for shooting :-). A hug!
Like this video a lot Mads .... thanks ..... maybe with your videos Gran Canaria becomes a magnet for landscape photographers ..... great for combining a photography trip and family vacation like you told ..... I didn't hesitate to buy your map because i used your maps from the Faroe Islands and Iceland and these are very helpful before and during my trips !!!! Super to see Sophie back in the footage.
Thanks a lot for introducing all of these gorgeous locations to us. It's nice to see some places other than Iceland and Faroers - the perfect place which I could even make my wife want to visit...
Once again great content and pics.....you are indeed heavily underrated compared to many others.....so keep on doing what you love to do....its inspiring to the ones who love photography for what it is....a creative way express feelings and telling a story....
Very nice. I wish I’d had your map when I was there in february. In the winter there are few foot steps in the dunes, so I could get nice patterns. Can’t wait to see the next video.
Hi Mads, I really love your videos, they are always helpful and inspiring. At the 15th of june 2022 I travel to Gran Canaria (have been there in 2018) and will use your amazing tipps. Greetings from Berlin, Mario.
Yeah, there are several reasons why I don't post them. 1. They take away the attention from the photo. 2. I blend and stack and use advanced Photoshop editing to edit my photos so you wouldn't be able to gain any information from the exit data anyway. 3. Settings are really not that important. If there is anything to be aware of I usually talk about it in the video. Showing the exif data of my photos is basically cheating people into thinking they can get photos like mine in one shot and that's simply not the case.
Ey Mads! How lovely is to see you in my country! I have to say my sister lives in Gran Canaria, so I've been there plenty of times and I'm amazed to see that known island with your eyes and as I told you in Iceland last autumn, your ability to see beauty and compose where most of us would just have passed by… CONGRATULATIONS for another great video and pictures! I need to head back to see my sister to take a second look to the island…
This is such a nice place to visit for landscape photography! Can’t wait to watch the rest of the series! I’m going to have a look at your maps as well now :)
great video, interesting content, awesome tips... one think, for landscape photography, proper day time is the key... for some location it is clear, some location, well it can be a bit tricky.... I would welcome to learn a bit more about good daytime especially for the mentioned "canyon"...
Thank you for another informative video, Mads. It’s nice to make new discoveries! Great photos of the dunes and slot canyon settings. I am visiting The Upper and Lower Slots this month, so the camera settings help a lot.
Loved the Canyon images Mads, thought you caught some interesting shapes and colours. Just booked to travel to Gran Canaria next month on vacation so look forward to seeing the conclusion of your trip next week
Mads, thank you for this wonderful video, I'll enjoy watching the 2nd part. I would love to know your settings as the shutter speed info would be very interesting. Greetings from Newfoundland.
Thank you for this video. It`s really so friendly, for your impression and spots for your amazing photos. I never expected that from Gran Canaria. If I were there I saw only the beach:-(( 40 years ago.
Thanks, this was a very useful video. A lot of very good information provided. I would not have thought that the island was as photogenic as it appears. You have a very accommodating "significant other" because it is nice to have the human element for scale. Indeed a good use of Sophie throughout the dune sequence. I take it she is a photographer also (that would help). Thank you for all of your thinking that you made available to us.
I thought you were going to say that it was hard to find a dune without a nude sunbather, lol. Never considered Gran Canaria as a photo destination, looks cool, cheers, Mads!
We went to Tenerife a few years ago, and I loved shooting up on the volcano but the rest of the island I found kinda hard to get images... this video shows that the islands definitely have potential, so perhaps I'll suggest here next time the other half wants a "hot weather" holiday 😁
Amazing! Will you be doing Fuerteventura too? I'm currently working on the island and will be doing a trip through each island in September. Will be interesting to see what you can find on your travels!
Hi Mads. This is one of my utmost favourite places to go. My daughter lives there and I love visiting the island. I've never been brave enough to fly my drone there as Spain's laws are very strict, especially in National Parks, which cover most of the island. Did you get a special licence to fly yours?
@@MadsPeterIversen Well done for doing that Mads. When I was there last year, I couldn't make heads or tails out of where the restricted zones were. It seems that 90% of the island is restricted, especially becuase of the military presence on Pico de Nieves. Loving your videos and had a great time using your Faroes Islands map.
Great video, Mads, with some stunning images. Loved the sand dune minimalistic one. What has happened to the woolly hat? Hardly recognised you with a full crop of hair! Thank you.

The guide let us take as much time as we wanted, which was far different than our experience a couple of years earlier when we saw Lower Antelope Canyon.
Having visited Gran Canaria as a tourist I wondered why it wasn't a more popular photography destination. One of my 2 favourite photos are from there, one from the Sand dunes and one from the highlands with the curved roads and Tenerife on the horizon (literally from a lay-by). You also get beautiful Golden Sunset light......and a beer is cheaper than Iceland :-).The only downside is that you don't get much on the way of cloud....but still, the beer is cheaper than Iceland :-)
Congrats on the video Mads, once again great tips and "feature packed". BTW, not sure if you are aware but close to the Canarias is also Madeira, one of my fave places, check my channel (so far only one video but more coming) on the subject. Thanks Mads. That was a week of early starts to get there in time for sunrise. Morning after morning of complete cloud cover and that shot was my last day on the island... Persistence paid off:-)
Nice videos as always. A suggestion though, when you use your girlfriend as a model try to find some outfits appropriate like bright colors clothing to separate her from the background. i am sure it will be provide nicer photos.
wellcome to Gran Canaria. Its nice to see a foreign photographer enjoying of our landscapes.
With no regards on the result of the photos, I absolutely like that you try out new locations

Just too many people crammed into a narrow canyon. It's beautiful but you don't have time or room to explore and have fun.

Fuerteventura is the second largest canary island as well as the oldest, tenerife being the largest

Third largest. Fuerte and Tenerife are larger.
